Cinema Cocktails:
EASY LIVING (1937)
Preston Sturges wrote this Depression-era Cinderella story, in
which working girl Jean Arthurs fortunes change after she lucks
into possession of a rich womans coat. As those around her assume that what she wears is an indicator of who she is, Arthur
climbs the social ladder and eventually falls in love with Ray
Milland - the son of the coats real owner. EASY LIVING was
the first major comic script from the unparalled Sturges, ably
filmed by the still underrated Mitchell Leisen, with an eye for
the beauties of opulence and havoc alike. A sophisticated film
that isnt lacking in pie-fights. And well have an amazing collection of custom themed cocktails available at the show! 3/12

WAYNES WORLD Quote-Along (1992)

Youll laugh, youll cry... youll hurl. You know the story -- two
slacker friends have a local cable access show that gets picked
up for professional broadcast and things get awesome....NOT!
Wayne falls for the majorly babelicious bass-playing Tia Carrere,
while the slimy Rob Lowe tries to steal her away. Meanwhile,
Garth sha-wings his way into the arms of a truly Foxy Lady,
and then there are all sorts of different endings! At this special
Action Pack Quote-Along presentation of the film, were going
to have Waynes World hats available for everyone, plus Red
Vines just like the kind Wayne and Garth eat from in the car,
and tiny paper cups just in case you need to spew! Party on!

Tough Guy Cinema:

FACE/OFF (1997)
John Travolta gets to act like Nicholas Cage, and Nicolas Cage
gets to act like a TOTAL MANIAC in an action movie that has
no words to describe its brilliant insanity. Watching 90s John
Woo in high gear is like watching Michael Bay have a three-way
with the CRANK movies while the Devil himself watches. It
is top-notch action and spectacularly entertaining with totally
over-the-top performances. Grab a dead grandparent because
this one is guaranteed to put the pulse back into even the most
lifeless and joyless soul as Tough Guy Cinema prepares to take
your FACE/OFF. 3/5

Big Screen Classic:

MY FAIR LADY (1964)
Winner of eight Academy Awards, MY FAIR LADY stars
the incandescent Audrey Hepburn as Eliza Doolittle and the
debonair Rex Harrison (star of the original Broadway version)
as Henry Higgins, the professor who tries to teach her to speak
like a lady. This classic adaptation of the musical, based on
George Bernard Shaws Pygmalion, sparkles with life and
memorable music, and in spite of a little rain in Spain, youre
guaranteed to walk out of the theater feeling absolutely loverly.
3/19

MACGRUBER Movie Party (2010)

Ah, the legendary MACGRUBER. Former Navy SEAL, Army
Ranger and Green Beret. Served six tours in Desert Storm,
four in Bosnia, three each in Angola, Somalia, Mozambique,
Nicaragua and Sierra Leone. Recipient of sixteen Purple Hearts,
three Congressional Medals of Honor, seven Presidential
Medals of Bravery and starting tight end for the University of
Texas, El Paso. Well live the action with Grubes, Vicki (Kristen
Wiig) and Piper (Ryan Phillippe) as they take on the evil Dieter
Von Cunth (Val Kilmer). It was a gigantic team-annihilating
bomb (TUGG!) at the box office (the lowest grossing widely
released SNL movie ever), but since then theres been a cult
thats growing larger. 3/30

LOST SOUL: THE DOOMED JOURNEY
OF RICHARD STANLEYS ISLAND OF DR. MOREAU (2015)
Richard Stanley emerged in the early 90s as one of the worlds
hottest genre directors. His first two filmsHARDWARE and
DUST DEVILare rightly considered to be classics. Stanleys
third film was a highly anticipated adaptation of H.G. Wells
THE ISLAND OF DR. MOREAU starring Marlon Brando
and Val Kilmer. Early in the films production, news of dissent and production troubles began to filter out from the set
in Cairns, Australia. Ultimately, executives at New Line Films
fired Stanley on the first day of shooting. Legendary director
John Frankenheimer was brought in to save the production,
but his efforts proved to be fruitless: THE ISLAND OF DR.
MOREAU is still regarded as a major disaster.

Vinegar Syndrome:
THE TELEPHONE BOOK (1971)
A major, forgotten comedic gem from New Yorks underground film scene of the early 70s, THE TELEPHONE
BOOK tells the story of Alice, a sex-obsessed hippie who falls
in love with the worlds greatest obscene phone caller. Alices
quest to find her dream lover introduces her to an avant-garde
stag filmmaker, a manipulative psychiatrist, and a lesbian housewife. Orgies will be witnessed, the fourth wall will be broken,
and bananas will be eaten -- erotically -- as this wild, wickedly
smart satire tickles your funny bone and tests the limits of good
taste. Photographed in gorgeous, high-contrast black-andwhite, and punctuated with a remarkably surreal color animated
sequence. Newly restored from an archival 35mm print! 3/31

In LOST SOUL - THE DOOMED JOURNEY OF RICHARD STANLEYS ISLAND OF DR. MOREAU, director
David Gregory sorts through decades of rumors and myth to
reveal the true behind-the-scenes story of the films troubled
history. Many of the key players in the production, including
Stanley, Robert Shaye, Edward R. Pressman, Fairuza Balk and
members of Stan Winstons effects team, present their sides
of the story. The interviews reveal that the film was plagued
by production mishaps, warring egos, and numerous other
problems, both large and small. LOST SOUL is a treasure trove
of fascinating stories ranging from Marlon Brandos bizarre
erratic behavior to Val Kilmers ego-driven sabotage to Richard
Stanleys covert ops after being kicked off the set. This documentary truly must be seen to be believed. 3/18

Video Vortex:
ATTACK OF THE BEAST CREATURES (1985)
Somewhere off the coast of Dimension X, six humans crash
a boat on an island. At first, all is well. There are berries to
eat and wounds to tend. But when a man turns into a pile of
steaming goop in an acid lake, its clear that theres trouble
in paradise. And thats when hundreds of shark-toothed
demonoids begin to CHOW IT DOWN. ATTACK OF THE
BEAST CREATURES is no-budget ecstasy. Its an ode to
1950s monster-paranoia. But most of all, its an ode to lil
bloodthirsty buddies that have DayGlo eyes and K-Mart
Halloween wigs. Hypnotic, hilarious, and triumphant in its
enthusiastic ambition, ATTACK OF THE BEAST CREATURES is everything you could want from a movie that was
shot in Stanford, Connecticut for the price of a decent used
lawn mower. 3/24

Mondo X Chiller:
HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL (1959)
HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL featured stars both on screen
and off. Ever reliant Vincent Price stars in one of his most
memorable roles, but the real star of the show is director
William Castle and his promotional stunt Emergo, in which
a plastic skeleton was flown over the audience in the theater
during key moments of the film. His creativity and inventiveness took sometimes mediocre movies and made them
genuine experiences. This experience is said to have inspired
Alfred Hitchcock to make his own low budget horror film....
PSYCHO! 3/26
CARTOON CEREAL PARTY: LOONEY TUNES EDITION
Grab a kid or nine and show them the true meaning of hilarity as we assemble the greatest collection of classic Warner
Brothers Looney Tunes ranging from the quackbusting ways
of Donald Duck to one-off wild shorts featuring holes that
teleport you through space and time. Were talking non-stop
animated mayhem while we provide you with, what can only
be described as a horribly irresponsible amount of ALL-YOUCAN EAT cereal! 3/28
TOKYO RAVENS (2013)
Harutora may seem like an ordinary guy, but hes actually a
descendent of an ancient and powerful clan of omyouji. Born
without the family talent for magic, hed always believed he
was destined for a normal, boring existence. All that changed
the day Natsume, a beautiful face from Harutoras past, barged
back into his life and forever altered the course of his future.

GIRLIE NIGHT

Slumber party favorites back on the big screen

PRIDE & PREJUDICE (2005)

What more does ANY woman need than the brooding, handsome, totally swoon-worthy Mr. Darcy? Ok, well, Pemberly
doesnt hurt. Nor do all of the fancy balls and gorgeous dresses
and romantic intrigue and any girl would love to hate Elizabeth
Bennet for being such a lucky bitch but we cant. Shes too
awesome.
Now, you may be one of those Austen purists who will only
watch the BBC version with Colin Firth (which is, admittedly,
a masterpiece). If so, I feel the need to point out that hello, did
you miss the POINT of the story? Its not good to be prideful
OR prejudiced! Give this 2005 version a chance, and within
minutes youll be enchanted by the new interpretation of the
characters and even the non-Colin Firth Mr. Darcy (not, it turns
out, an oxymoron!).
Im getting so excited just writing about it! Like when Darcy
flexes his hand and when Judi Dench shows up and Lizzy
realizes she still has a chance and AHHH! I cant wait for Girlie
Night so we can all swoon together. 3/9 & 3/11

THE LATE SHOW

BRINGING THE BEST OF THE BEST AND THE BEST OF THE REST

GHOST IN THE SHELL (1995)

Black comedies dont come much blacker than this cult favorite
A female cyborg cop and her partner hunt a mysterious and
powerful hacker called the Puppet Master. 3/7
AKIRA (1988)
AKIRA isnt just a movie its the genesis of a genre. Katsuhiro Otomos landmark cyberpunk classic obliterated the boundaries of Japanese animation and forced the world to look into
the future. AKIRAs arrival shattered traditional thinking, creating space for movies like the THE MATRIX to be dreamed
into brutal reality. Without Kaneda and Tetsuo, without espers
and psionic assassins, without that badass motorcycle our
world would be a far less exciting place to exist. 3/14
THE LAST NARUTO (2014)
The much loved series Naruto comes to an end, with THE
LAST NARUTO THE MOVIE. Presented in Japanese
with English subtitles, the story picks up two years after the
battle between Naruto and Sasuke, in the Village Hidden in
the Leaves. Many questions will be answered and maybe our
favorite outcast will find love. 3/21
HEAVY METAL (1981)
HEAVY METAL is the greatest R-rated film made for thirteen
year old boys ever. It has all of the violence, spaceships, boobs,
metal music, zombies, and immature humor that you could ever
ask for. Perhaps even more than you would ask for, if someone
was actually asking you. And its all done in beautiful 1980s
hand-drawn animation. 3/28

BOONDOCK SAINTS St. Patricks Day Dinner Party

(1999)
Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus star as two Irish
brothers that accidentally kill a handful of mafia thugs. After
turning themselves in , they were released as heroes. Seeing
this as a calling by God, the pair start knocking off more gang
members one by one. William Defoe plays a detective trying
to solve the slayings, but the closer he comes to catching the
brothers, the more he thinks they might just be doing the right
thing.

SPRING (2015)
Evan (Lou Taylor Pucci, EVIL DEAD, THUMBSUCKER) is
a young American fleeing to Europe to escape his past. While
backpacking along the Italian coast, everything changes during
a stop at an idyllic Italian village, where he meets and instantly
connects with the enchanting and mysterious Louise. A flirtatious romance begins to bloom between the two however,
Evan soon realizes that Louise has been harboring a monstrous,
primordial secret that puts both their relationship and their lives
in jeopardy.

This may be the perfect film to show for St. Patricks Day. In
celebration of everything green and Irish we are creating the
ultimate party and creating a good ol fashioned Shoot-Along.
Well provide the guns, the caps and the tattoos and you can
join in on the most outrageous way to watch a movie like this.
However, our own Chef Sticks has decided to take it one step
further and create a delicious Irish inspired three course meal
so good that will probably make you question your nationality.
3/17

A beautiful, fluid genre-bender from directors Justin Benson

and Aaron Moorhead (RESOLUTION), SPRING is an unforgettable romance of mythical proportions. 3/27
