Two great opportunities of worship lie ahead for us at First

Baptist. On Sunday, MARCH 8, we will observe the Lords Supper

in both the morning worship services. What a wonderful way to
worship God by our being obedient to Him and observing that
which He has commanded us to do. And to do in remembrance of
Him.
Then on Sunday, MARCH 15, we will have the ingathering
for the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American
Missions. Our church goal this year is $5000.00. We will worship
that day with our hearts, our voices and our pocket books. I know
the giving to the church has been low lately, and I know some will
say we should give here first. BUT, let me remind you that all of
this offering goes to the work of missions on the North American
continent. In particular, the work of Southern Baptist in Canada and
the United States. Come prepared to give that Sunday.
Now is the time to make our Christian voices known to the
state government. The Preventing Government Overreach on
Religious Expression act is before the State Senate. This act
protects the rights of Christians to practice their faith freely in the
state of Georgia. 30 States have already passed their form of this
legislation. We need to be sure our elected officials do the same.
There is federal legislation of this nature but there is no
state legislation. In order for this legislation to become a reality in
this state we, the believers, must make our feeling know. Please
contact your state legislators to encourage them to vote for this bill.
I know God will bless us for it.
See you Sunday,
Paul
