Accelerometer, which will be used to measure the acceleration in pile element (PDA
will process it to become velocity)
Strain transducer, which will be used to measure strain in pile point (PDA will process
it to become force)

Preparation Work
Data Collecting
Driving of pile will be monitored until the appropriate embedment has been reached.
Re-drive Pile
For driven piles, re-driving will be done only for several blows, therefore the ultimate
bearing resistance of the soil is not fully mobilized. By doing this way, the pile capacity
can be identified accurately.
Result of PDA
Nine variables can be seen directly on PDA screen. The velocity (V) and force (F)
graph can also be seen on the monitor. To print the velocity and force, connect this
PDA to the printer.
By processing the PDA result, Case Pile Wave Analysis Program (CAPWAP) will
shows the distribution of pile resistance along the pile length.
Safety requirement
All operations in relation with pile load testing shall be carried out in such a manner so as to
minimize, avoid or eliminate the exposure of people to hazards.
