Other Thoughts:
Disclaimer, I bought
two of these, during
Thanksgiving week.
They just arrived today,
so I have not had a
chance to fully put
them through their
paces.
You get a lot for the
price, but not without
some compromises.
The screen is not an
IPS, but it is quite
usable, and has decent
contrast. The screen
protector is a nice
addition to the product,
and well applied, but it
seems to wash our the
colors somewhat.
It can be removed if
desired.
Wifi strength/range is
on par with my cell
phone
Bluetooth seems work
well with my speakers,
but I'm still in early
testing
As delivered, unit is
not rooted
Free flash space is
about 4GB, out of the
box
OS version = 4.4.2,
mid July 2014
Screen is 600x1024,

(TFT?), and comes

with a per-applied
protector
OpenGL ES version is
2.0
DRAM is DDR2, 2GB,
unknown speed
Platform = Intel
redhookbay,
clovertrail, Saltwell
Hyperthreading is
enabled, so up to 4
threads can run at same
time
Thread processors
appear to range
between 0.8 - 1.2GHz
GPU = PowerVR SGX
544MP2
Battery = 3000mAH
Li-ion
Charges from USB or
DC jack
Tablet was able to
recognize a 64GB
Samsung EVO
microSDXC
(full size, after mount
and format)
Google Play and
Chrome pre-installed,
both work well
Pandora works well
ESFile Explorer preinstalled (very handy)
OTG USB adapter
worked with 16GB
USB flash,
mounted/unmounted
correctly
The carrying case is a
basic, but decently
made, with a nice
texture (plastic
leather?)
Main speaker is very

low volume, and not

very useful
There is some sort of
activity LED hidden
between the SD slot
and the reset button
Rear camera worked,
that's all I can say so
far :-)
Regarding Android
updates, the tablet is
unable to find any
updates, when
attempted through the
settings menu. 4.4.2
appears to be the
highest version ported
by iView for the i700. I
have scanned the iView
product download
server. There does not
appear to be any higher
OS versions available.
Only time will tell if
they issue any updates.

Poor Sound Low Quality Screen

Pros: Cheap web browser tablet.

I purchase the 16gb version of this model from Newegg and was please
by the functionality of the processor for web browsing and basic tasks.

9:12:42 AM Cons: Watching video on the tablet is MOST disappointing.
Tech Level: The screen fades out almost entirely at about 30 degrees to bottom or
Ownership: side depending on how you hold it, so if I set it on a table in front of me
sitting in a chair i can't see anything. Reminded me of how a old
calculator or watch would fade out at the wrong angle.
Also the speaker on these models is small and quiet (good for dings and
whirls but that is about it)(not too surprising) but the headphone 3.5mm
output is a joke. I hooked it up to some PC desktop speakers and turned it

All the way up and still only got an ok level of sound.

No good for youtube, pandora or netflix.
Other Thoughts: The case and accessories are ok, but didnt test since I
returned mine before I had to charge it the first time.

Good bang for the buck...

Pros: Inexpensive; comes with Android 4.4.2; GMS certified (Google
Mobile Services), aka it has Google Apps via Google Play Store; front
and rear facing cameras; has bluetooth; although it isn't an IPS display
the screen is decent quality; plays videos fairly well; WiFi speed seems
decent; Skype works well on it; has SD slot; can recharge via adapter or
over USB; comes with case, USB cable, and OTG USB cable.
Cons: No GPS; camera aren't the best quality; internal microphone
somewhat "muddy"; can't use OTG while charging; screen not IPS; dualcore Atom processor is decently fast but not a barnburner; case is rather
thick; internal speaker isn't very loud and isn't very "wide range."

Other Thoughts: Although this isn't a top of the line tablet, for the "Black
Friday" price I feel it's bang-to-buck ratio is excellent. The tablet has
decent speed, a fairly bright screen with decent color (it's not IPS!), and
comes with Google Play Store so you'll have access to a wide variety of
apps. The tablet has some shortcoming, but considering its low, low price
that's to be expected.
I bought this tablet for my wife, who uses a tablet primarily for browsing
the Web, occasional watching of videos on YouTube and Netflix,
playing a few simple games, and for making Skype calls. I paid over
$200 for the Android v.2.4 tablet it will replace a couple of years ago and
this iView tablet is much more powerful, and comes with Android 4.4 at
a much lower price.
I've only had this iView tablet for a couple of days now, but so far I've
very impressed with it -- so much so that I ended up ordering another one
for myself. If you want a _basic_ tablet to do _basic_ "stuff" then the
iView i700 should do a good job for you.
The tablet comes with Google Maps installed, but the tablet does not
have GPS. It will use Wi-Fi and attempt to determine you location based
on referencing know Wi-Fi routers however. In my case, Google Maps

was able to determine my location at home, with good accuracy. On the

other hand, if you're not close to a router that Google Location Services
"knows" then Google Maps may not be able to determine your location.
The front facing camera isn't very good in low light. The back facing
camera is only of fair quality. It supposedly will shot 720p video but I
haven't tried it out yet. I assume it will be rather fuzzy. But then,
considering the tablet's price, this is probably to be expected.
The tablet comes with a case, that's of OK quality. Unfortunately, the
case is rather thick, and muffles the sound of the external speaker quite a
bit, which is a shame because the speaker isn't very loud to begin with.
The frequency range of the speaker is very limited -- there are few highs
and lows, it's all mid-range. The tablet does have an 1/8" stereo earphone jack however, and comes with ear phones, which are merely of
"OK" quality.
The built in mic also seems rather muffled by the case, but even out of
the case the sound is somewhat muddy sounding. Still, it does a decent
job of handling voice, so Skype calls seem to go OK.
Plug in a decent pair of headphones in the 1/8" jack and you'll get decent
sound out of the tablet, although the built in amp doesn't have a lot of
power it will drive efficient headphones to higher volume levels than
you'll probably ever want to listen to. (The tablet _should_ work with
most Bluetooth headphones but I haven't tried that yet.)
The tablet comes with a OTG USB cable and after plugging it into a
USB (powered) hub I was able to use a regular PC keyboard and mouse
with the tablet; USB flash drives and external hard drive also worked but
it did stop changing though once the OTB cable wa

Battery is pretty meh.. Lasts a full day if you dont use it constantly.
Screen is cheap. Scratches easily, needs a fairly firm touch.
Not sure if it will ever get 4.4.4 update
Other Thoughts: I got the 16 gig version.
All in all, you get what you pay for. If you want a tablet but dont have

Cons: Screen size is listed as 7" but I compared that against a 7" nook I
have and this looks smaller. According to Newegg this is DDR3 RAM
but that is not the case. Google Atom Z2520 and you will see that it only
support DDR2. Also I noticed that color are bit off and screen has a blue
tint to it. In comparison this feels slower compared to older single
processor Nook 7" tablet.
Other Thoughts: I paid $49 for this and I think that is too much
considering the quality of the device. I would consider this to be good
value in the $39 price range

Not the FASTEST tablet, but again good enough for the price
Mediocre speaker, could be louder
Not a lot of room for viewing angles. The colors change and blend
together if looking at it from an off angle. It's tolerable, but a huge
difference from a more expensive tablet.
Case stand is pretty nice, especially for free, but it does angle it a little
high. So combined with the previous gripe, you do have to play around
with it a bit.
Other Thoughts: Would be great for kids. I'll be using it largely as a
Kindle, which is about how big it is/feels, so it's a good cheap substitute
for that.
Overall, for the price, I think it's a fantastic buy. Small, simple, yet
efficient. Nice little faux leather case...for the $43 I paid I really can't
complain.

much. The rear facing camera's captured images remind me of an old flip
phone. You can make out what your taking a picture of, but there is no
quality to it.
Other Thoughts: Sure the cameras are near useless, but I would not
expect this to be cutting edge (or even last gen tech) for this price! The
fact that this runs KitKat and does a great job in every app I have tried it
with so far is all a bonus! My daughter is going to love her Christmas
present as her old Asus TF-100 is more than a little slow!

Cons: The screen seems to be a cheap foggy piece of plastic. There is no

clarity or sharpness to the screen. The home buttons are right on the
screen which makes it too easy to accidentally hit one of them and lose
your page. This can be remedied a little by leaving the unit in the case
that is comes with. However, this then brings me to my next complaint,
which is the speaker or sound. The sound is so low and does not have the
ability to be raised much. Where the sound emits from is so small and is
in the back of the unit. If you have it in the case there is hardly any sound
at all coming out.
Even though it is Android, it is very basic. To delete the trash folder,
each message has to be individually chosen. I cannot get it to sync with
my main calendar, as my Android phone does. Don't even try to use the
camera, it is a piece of junk. The battery life is not that great. The
standby mode doesn't seem to conserve the battery that well. If you are
use to the Android system (which I do like) on your phone or on other
devices, you will be disappointed in the way that the IView functions
using Android.
Other Thoughts: I should have realized that you get what you pay for and
I have learned my lessson.

(Batman Arkam Origins, Into the Dead and Call of Duty: Strike Team)
without a hiccup. Planning on getting a memory card. Would do it all

Pros: Runs smooth, easily streams videos and music. Bluetooth is a big

Cons: Build quality is average, everything is plastic and the table itself
feels cheap. Screen quality is good, not great, color isn't very bright.
Touchscreen is not as sensitive as I would like it to be, have to apply a
little extra pressure before the tablet responds. Camera is a bit of a low
quality as well.
Other Thoughts: Although this tablet is lacking in the quality
department, if you can snag this tablet at 45% off (around $56 after
taxes) then this is a good device.

after I ordered it. And has to be the best money ($56.45) I've spent on
any device in years. I used to love my windows Nokia phone and used it
to do most of my daily computing I.e. Email Facebook Shopping
browsing music and so on. But the Iview tablet makes all of these things
so much easier. I love the larger screen and the speach recognition/input
works almost flawlessly. If your looking for a fun and productive gadget
to make all those apps easier to use than on your tiny smart phone. This
could be the solution for you also.
Cons: Slow start up (19 seconds average)
Other Thoughts: If this goes back to the $49.99 price I'm buying 2 more.

Cons: Screen - Not IPS, although that would probably add at least $2535 to the price. Resolution is fine for 7inch imho
Build Quality - pretty average, but at $49 very acceptable
Other Thoughts: I have KoboArc and this unit is faster than it in almost
all areas, except the Screen (Kobo has higher resoution and IPS).
I bought this for my kids and they love it. Netflix is smooth, MX Player
is smooth, and it plays all the android kiddie games fine.
P.S. rooting this unit is very easy. Took me all of 20mins on google to
figure it out.

Other Thoughts: Overall the tablet seems great for general games,
reading e-books, internet browsing and streaming. For the cost of $49 it
is a great deal if you just don't expect too much. The tablet seems very
speedy overall and I had no issues with it keeping the internet

Pros: Great value!!! With 2GB RAM and Intel Atom processor this thing

There are 2 issues with this tablet:
1. Top/bottom screen Viewing angle is poor (ironic since name of the
brand is "iview"). You only get about 40 degree of good viewing angle
but what do you expect from $50 tablet...
2. Battery charging time seems long... Need to charge it for more than 2
hours for 0 to 100% charge. However it does hold charge well... If you

turn of WiFi and/or Bluetooth when not in use it will get you through the
day without a problem (with average usage).
Other Thoughts: People who complaint about not being sensitive to
touch should remove the thick clear screen protector before using the
tablet (the film is only design to protect the screen during shipment). I
find it very responsive once protective film is removed.
Also the color issue... It's not as bad as some reviewers claim... I find that
stock background image makes the color seem washed out (it baffles
why manufacturer would use such low resolution image for the bg) but
once I've changed the background image to one of the live wallpapers it
looked great. Only real con with this tablet is the screen (hence minus
one egg). However considering it's price I find it acceptable nuisance.

Pros: needed a cheap tablet to kill time at work. found this one on sale for

I've had an ipad mini in the past and comparing this to the apple product is

Square Register

Pros: Cost. This thing was cheap but still had KitKat on it. I had a client
who wanted to use Square and didn't want to use their phone all the time
since it was being used as more like a cash register for the whole office
then just for them. They where nervous as Square just says 7" Android

this since it was so cheap anyway and if it failed I would just keep. It
worked fine.

Good for reading my ebooks on the train and playing a few video games Kennard G. nothing involving heavy graphics. Decent battery life, ok graphics.

Tech Level: Cons: Not worth the current price of 70.00
Ownership: Slow to bootup after installing games and other apps.

Cannot switch apps to storage card - (possible with root?)

Other Thoughts: Decent tablet for reading your ebooks. Inexpensive. I did
update the firmware from the manufacturer website and everything
worked as per the instructions. Updating the firmware will wipe

everything clean and reset back to factory. As of Dec 2014, firmware

version is the same as installed - no new updates.

Decent cheap tablet

Pros: Low cost. Great for browsing the web. Comes with the case. Does
not come with a bunch of software like Samsung's tablet/phone does.
It's a very nice tablet for it's price. I would recommend for anyone who
don't have a tablet yet. Tablet lovers might want better.

7:33:22 AM Cons: The touch screen is not that good, it can be a problem when playing
Tech Level: games. The screen material feels cheap, nothing like my Samsung S3's
Ownership: touch screen. But for the price it's a very small inconvenient to deal with.

Other Thoughts: I wanted to see if a tablet would replace my dead laptop,

this tablet went on sale for Black Friday to about 50$, it's better than
wasting 300$ on a tablet i didn't know if I would like. So far it's doing
good at replacing my laptop.

Much, much better than similarly-priced competitors

Pros: Extremely impressed with the onboard software and everything

included. Case was an unexpected bonus.

Tech Level: Cons: Battery life kind of sucks
Ownership:
Verified Owner Other Thoughts: Must be charged daily, and must be restarted when it

starts to lag. Other than that, for the money, this is an extremely good
value.

Best Buy sells a similarly priced "DigiLand" tablet. This one is MUCH

BETTER and MUCH MORE sturdy and has MUCH BETTER graphics
and screen resolution.

It does suck

Pros: The tablet looks nice and is great for doing he basics. I travel for

work a lot and wanted something that could do movies on the plane. I

Cons: Not the fastest thing in the word. It definitly has some lag time on
the screen. This is what your going to get with the price. Don't be fooled
this is high end but can get basic tasks done like a champ.
