3G RF Planning

Introduction
This interactive in-depth instructor led 3G RF Planning course will underpin the
fundamentals of WCDMA planning. An all round approach is undertaken to give the
theoretical basics behind this technology.
3G WCDMA networks are totally different to 2nd Generation GSM to design a
multimedia user experience. The thought process and design paradigm will be fully
appreciated once completing this course.
Prerequisites
Any prior experience with RF planning mobile networks would be advantageous.
Knowledge of WDCMA technology.
Objectives
By the end of the course the delegate will be able to:

Understand the principles of WCDMA.

Know the layered architecture and channels for WCDMA.
Describe the relationship between coverage and capacity.
Dimension WCDMA networks using Radio Link Budgets.
Proficient with Interference planning for coverage and capacity.
Classify the planning process for 3G WCDMA RF networks.

Who Should Attend

3G RF planners, Project Managers, Technical Managers
