Past studies have found that health is the topic of the highest interest and importance to the public, and
they also suggested that majority of the public regarded libraries as the preferred choice to satisfy their
information needs on health-related issues. Despite fast growth of the Internet, which eventually
became the preferred choice when sourcing for information, public librarians remain as the most
trusted source of health-related information. To better serve health information to the public,
understanding the factors that influence public librarians readiness to provide health information will
contribute very important knowledge for future planning and decision making.
This study is a one-time survey. The questionnaire contains 42 questions, and it is anticipated to take 1015 minutes to finish.
