Objectives
1. To provide an interactive English spaces
for pupils of SK MJDI.
2. To encourage pupils to read and interact
in English.
3. To encourage the use of English through
various activities.

First of all , Thanks be to God for all


creation. Interactive English Space so
called THE READING HUT is a created
project done by human hands under the
Native Speaker Programme. This project is
in-charged by 2 teachers Cikgu Teresa
Engel and Lis Elizabeth under the
supervision of their mentor Miss Jessica
with the collaboration of the English Panel.
This project is named THE READING
HUT that suits the location and space
used similar to a hut. Before I go any
further many thanks also goes to our
Headmaster for giving us all the green
lights in support for this project.
The purpose of this project is to provide a space
for pupils to read English books and doing
worksheets/ activities during their free time and
most importantly it is easily accessible by the
pupils. The target groups are all the pupils of
SKMJDI and are focusing especially to pupils
who come early to school or pupils who stayed
back after school, including pupils who are free
during recess.
This space will provide them with activities that
they can do to fulfill their time. We hope that by
providing such space, pupils will come and read
English books, play games, do worksheets and do
other educational activities that will help them in
their English Language knowledge. We also hope
that pupils will like the language and interact

more using English. This will help them with their


proficiency and competency in the language. WE
hope that all pupils will benefit from this
programme and will be more eager to learn
English Language in a fun interactive way. I
believe the English teachers can come up with
more new ideas in the future. Let us colour them
to make it very beautiful for working Together

The in-house training was successfully carried out. The teachers enjoyed the hands- on session
