Tutoring/RtI

8:00 am - 8:30
am

The RtI Group meets at the back table to work with the teacher to work on the weekly reading packet. Other students are welcome
to come into the classroom to work on Acuity practice, Google writing assignment, or multiplication practice.

Morning Meeting in FEMA Gym

8:30 am - 8:45
am

Meet students at FEMA gym at 8:35. Walk them back to class when morning meeting in the gym ends. Do lunch count. The students
make their lunch choices on the back table which needs to be entered into PowerSchool with attendance. See sub folder for log-in

information. Students work quietly on morning math after they do their lunch count. Alert is on Tuesdays. See sub folder to see which students
attend Alert. Do not count them absent on Tuesdays.

Math

8:45 am - 10:00
am

8:45 Students begin morning math that's on their desks while teacher does lunch count. When that's done, ask students to meet on

the carpet for a mini-lesson.(Miss Schlaeger has the copies. Please see her form them.) It should take students about 20 minutes to finish.
Collect and grade if time allows. If students need more time, have them keep their papers to finish. Pick up at the end of the day if needed.

Small-Group Practice
9:00-9:15 Back Table: Computation Station. Students create their own addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division problems to work. They
should check their work with a calculator. Make sure they are not just wasting time: 4-digit by 4-digit addition and subtraction, 2-digit by 2-digit
multiplication, 4 digit by 1 digit division.
9:15-9:30 Computation Station: Students play the Making 10s card game to practice fact fluency on the floor by the back table.
9:30-9:45 Problem-Solving Station: Students work model-drawing bean cards. They choose Level 1, 2, 3, or 4 based on their readiness level.
They know which one to do.
9:45-10:00 Review Station: http://www.symbaloo.com/mix/small-groupmathwork. Students choose a site that they need more practice in.

Groups are posted on chart in the classroom. I have not made new groups yet, so students still work in the same groups posted on chart on
back wall. Group 1 meets at the back table first. Group 2 goes to the computation station. Group 3 goes to the problem-solving station. Group
4 goes to the morning-work station. Every 15 minutes they rotate.

PE

10:00 am - 10:50
am

Working with Words

Have students sign into Spelling City from our Symbaloo (they know how to do this) and work week 20 activities. They may do

10:50 am - 11:23
am

Tangled Tuesday week 20 also if time allows. They know how to get to this too.

Lunch
We will eat lunch in the classroom on Wednesday of this week. Be prepared to pick students up at 11:48, but they should have

11:23 am - 11:50
am

counseling around noon. Sometimes Mrs. Brock picks them up from the lunchroom depending on her schedule. She'll keep them for about
thirty minutes once she starts.

This will be the reading mini-lesson too. Read The Trailblazer's Trailblazer aloud and summarize together. Create a 20 work summary

Why?
How?
Draw twenty blanks on chart paper and construct a solid summary sentence with as much of the graphic organizer information as possible.
You don't have to answer all the questions. Sometimes answers are not in the text.
