Maximum power transfer occurs when RL = RTH=1.79k

Putting 1.79 k into the circuit:
R= 1.97+0.68=2.47 k
2.47 k in parallel with 2.2 k=(( 2.47)(2.2 ))/(2.47+2.2)=1.16 k
1.16 k in series with 1 k R=1.16 +1=2.16k
2.16 k in parallel with 6.8 k=(( 2.16)(6.8 ))/(2.16+6.8)=1.64 k
1.64 k in series with 1.5 k Req= 1.64+1.5= 3.14 k

Answer 5:
For the first method we directly measured the Rth by assembling the circuit with resistors
but without power source and the equivalent resistance was found.
For the second method we found the open circuit voltage and the short circuit current and
then calculated the Rth by dividing V by I.

The first method is better because it takes less time and requires no additional calculations
and gives a value closer to the calculated one.

RL()
As seen from graph, maximum power is when R is slightly before 2000 which we believe
is 1800 because Rth is 1800 and maximum power is when Rl=Rth.
