Alcohol Ban Review Evidence Form

Review of existing alcohol bans

Regulations introduced by the government last year, requires Auckland Council to review all existing
alcohol bans by 31 October 2015.
The review will decide which current alcohol bans meet new national criteria of only allowing bans where
there was or still is a high level of alcohol related crime or disorder. Alcohol bans that do not meet these
criteria will lapse on 31 October 2015.
Your local board is undertaking targeted engagement on this issue and has identified your organisation as
a key stakeholder to provide additional evidence of crime or disorder that may be occurring (or previously
has occurred) in a current alcohol ban area. The information you provide will be used to assist the local
board to make a decision on the future status of this current alcohol ban area.
If you are able to help provide further evidence this must be received no later than Tuesday 14 April 2015.
