Read the text and answer the questions.
Have you ever visited an astronomical observatory? Everyone imagines
big telescopes with distinguished astronomers in white coats looking
through the eye piece at distant planets or stars. In reality, astronomers
don't usually wear white coats and they rarely look through the eye
pieces of the telescope. Modern observatories have telescopes, but the
astronomers aren't next to their telescopes. It's cold and windy up there.
Astronomers don't look through the telescope any more. They sit in
warm rooms sometimes not even near the telescopes and they watch
computer screens and make adjustments with their keyboards. When
they aren't looking at the stars on the screens, they are talking about
their favorite activities with other astronomers or they're playing video
games. Some modern telescopes are so advanced that the astronomers
don't even go to the observatory. They work at their universities and
control the telescopes from there.
