Outline why you are applying for that position and why that company
Outline of the skills, both technical and social, gained through your education/course and how they relate to the job.
Outline the skills that you have acquired through your work experience and relate these to what is required in the envisaged
position

Outline any other skills and abilities that you think are relevant, e.g. social and communication skills, sport, leadership skills etc.
Thank them for considering your application; tell them that you have attached a copy of your resume, and when you would be
available for an interview.

Education
List in reverse chronological order
Show schools, colleges and universities attended, giving dates, examinations passed, degree
awarded.
Work Experience
List of companies you have worked with in reverse chronological order
Show positions you have held, giving your job title, from-to dates, main responsibilities and
principal achievements.
For part-time positions while you were studying/traineeship, include the number of hours per
week that you worked.
Include industrial training/ vacation employment positions as well as voluntary positions.
Major Projects Completed
For graduates with little or no work experience, provide short summaries of major projects that
