Electronic Warfare
Communication between combat arms is very essential for the success of mission
on the modern battlefield. For the same, US has developed a way by which they are
able to target specific areas and disable enemy communication resources while
their electronics remain undisturbed. These weapons are small enough for a soldier
to carry on the battle ground. This technology is helpful for the allies by dominating
radio communication. It is also used to jam any signal coming from an electronic
device (mobile) which is being used to trigger roadside bombs. Electronic warfare
XOS Exoskeletons
Steve Jacobsen and his engineering team made an impressive breakthrough in
robotics technology at Sarcos. The engineers realized that in order to be successful,
the Exoskeleton would require to perfectly mimic soldiers movements. Hence,
flexible joints were created so that the Exoskeleton can adapt to movements of the
human who will be wearing it and made it so that it is capable of performing precise
tasks. The soldier who will be wearing this suit will become faster, stronger and
resistant to fatigue. The XOS Exoskeleton has been used to lift 200 pounds
repetitively for 500 times by the user.
