Characteristic features

VISITEC 2.0
is an advanced diagnostic package for operation of
SCHUMAG Production Lines.
VISITEC 2.0 offers:
simplified machine operation
reduced retooling and setting time
increased machine function transparency

System consists of following components:

industrial PC at machine for input and visual representation
PLC for machine control
electronic devices for machine control
inter-component data connection

Simple operation of visual representation.

No need for special know-how; operation easy to learn as understandable by intuition. Screen
displays in national language as such ruling out misunderstandings, improper handling and
operation, and any damage resulting from it.

Electronic devices improved/ updated.

All functional highlights of "SLS" shear control, "RES" rest-end control, and "EWR" way relay
control incorporated into a single device, i.e. into the "SLS-MC1", considerably enhancing machine
control flexibility.

The "SLS-MC1" is based on the microcontroller principle.

Not containing any control elements, the "SLS-MC1" is installed in the [electric] control cabinet
which eliminates the need for an extra electronic cabinet just for the machine control.
Other electronic devices for controlling such units as, e.g., pancake coiler, sorting unit, and materials
testing, are user terminal controlled in like manner.
(Afoot for sorting and materials testing.)

straightener

The PCs complete with straightener's WRP program and VISITEC for drawing machine and shear are linked with the
PLC via network (ARCNET). Via this network, the PCs transfer all adjustment specific reference presets to the PLC.
Operator then 'enabling' the adjustment.
Machine of course also is manually adjustable by the operator, via pushbutton control. Job specs then are readable off
the PC's display.
At PC-failure, production of the machine may continue but job specs are displayed no longer.

Operator level:
visual representation of machine status
storing and polling job specs. Technical help.
Operation is very simple and catchy not requiring any specialist knowledge.

Supervisor level:
optionaly:
Input of data records of stored machine settings.
Data record management.
Storing/ polling of actual values possible on machines equipped with motor-adjustable drives. So, job specs so
stored transferrable to machine for future similar-type jobs. This means shorter retooling time(s) thanks to
reproducible adjustment.

Management level:
optionaly:

Input and loading of job specs

Creating of production report.
At a maximum of automatization, all setting parameters transferrable to machine via job card. Functions not
standard for program.

General operation
Program start-up
Power ON user terminal and VISITEC program automatically is started.
