As stated by Bradley Villarreal (2014), the visual arts are art forms that focus on the creation of

works which are primarily visual in nature, such as painting, photography, printmaking, and
filmmaking.
Different with some statement has stated that visual art included what one can see, such drawing,
painting, sculpture, and design in jewelry, pottery, weaving, fabrics and the design applied to
more practical fields such as commercial graphics and home furnishings. Contemporary visual
art are include photography, video, film, design and last but not least is computer art.
Studies have shown that, through arts education, students develop thinking and perceptual skills
and their own intellectual abilities to discover images of possibility. This wealth of experiences
and intellectual abilities provide a strong and rich illusionary base from which to draw upon
future creative experiences.
The visual arts allow us to develop and use our creative potential, to see the value of our own
ideas and feelings, and to respect those of others. The visual arts give us a chance to think
divergently, to search out beyond the boundaries of what is known. The visual arts language is an
avenue of expression not addressed or taught in other areas of the curriculum. It is a basic and
unique part of education. Visual arts education is much more than making things. It enables
students to develop and creatively express their ideas and solve problems.
"The Arts," as a term, has an interesting history. During the Middle Ages, the Arts were very
scholarly, limited to seven in number and did not involve creating anything at which people
looked. They were: grammar, rhetoric, dialectic logic, arithmetic, geometry, astronomy, music.

According to Gagne (1985), learning occurs when the process develops gradually. Therefore the
way of delivery the lesson must be arranged in stages. Planning implies layout so that teaching
and learning can take place in a structured manner. Indirectly the ASSURE Model can be used
for the preparation of this video since it is arranged by step as below:

ASSURE Model is used to help how educators want to plan their teaching well. To perform this
task, we can apply some appropriate model and ASSURE model can be used for processing this
group video (Promoting the faculty of Education-VISUAL ART) because the same techniques
are required to help facilitate the work for this project. As per our understanding where we need
to apply the model that we have learned in classroom in actual context.

ANALYZE LEARNER
Assure is an acronym for every step that used to make the learning process succeed. The first
step to using this ASSURE model is A which is stand for analyze learner but we have changed it
to analyze the audience since we use this model for making a video to promote the Faculty Of
Education-Visual Art. These courses are offered for those who want to further their degree or
master in this course .So that, our audience absolutely a diploma holder and also STPM student
with age range from 19 to 24. We have using the simple exposed for them to understand what are
the requirement for this course and it is suitable with and adults who are more attract with
something less and simple.
STATE OBJECTIVES
The second step in the ASSURE model is stated the objective .The importance to have the
objectives is to make us aware what the right method should we use and the classifications.
Hence, the objectives why we need to promote our Faculty as follows:
I) To Inform people in verbal way what are the requirements to becoming a part of Visual Art
Education member.
II) To determine the impact of video among audiences in promoting the education.
SELECT METHOD/MEDIA/MATERIAL
The third step is select method, media or material. In order to make people digest the information
better the task given is to produce a video where we need to promote the faculty of Education.
Video
Nowadays, video has been the wide spread in the media social. Especially now, everything will
reveal and become a viral. In addition, we take this opportunity to promote the education.
Through the video people will easily to understand and this concept same as cognitive where
people easy to understand and remembering with view them.

Typographic
We have using the basic typographic since this is formal video to promote Faculty of Education
and make sure the presentation of this video with typographic would run smoothly without
problems and easy to understand while delivering the information.
Audio
In this video making, we also record an audio information while gather the information about the
faculty, requirement and some basic subject. Other than that, we also included some music as
background.
Utilize Media and Material
To complete this video we have using a few software for image editing, such Adobe Photoshop
and Adobe Illustrator. In addition for video editing, we have using Adobe Premier and After
Effects.
Adobe Premier
Same as others video editing but it is more advanced and have many options besides it can
connect with adobe files and others software such After Effects.
After Effects
This software is used to composite, animated and giving the special effect for video making.
Composition in high quality from after effects is always used in commercial break in television.
We can edit a video using After Effect same as Adobe Premier but it can produce a special
effects.
Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
Photoshop/Illustrator or PSD its specialized for photo and image editing because it is come with
high resolution and the tools are specialized for image editing and color correction. But some
people use for design and make vector but adobe illustrator more suitable because its more
compatible.

Require Learner Participate


This is the fifth step to using these models ASSURE where we need to know the requirement of
learner participating. But since we are using this model for our video making, we have to change
this to require member group participate instead of require learner participate. Through this task
we among group are together to fulfill the course requirement for this ED703.All of us have our
own responsibility to make it perfect. Syahmi and Luqman are handling video making while
Luqman and Syahmi take the chances to make the final Story board since he is expert in
drawing. But we are together in preparing and sharing idea for the first story board. Siti and I are
the one who preparing our own script since we are use my voice as audio and Siti for the
interview session. In nut shell, we are together contribute our idea to make this video as best as
we can.
Evaluate and Revise
For the last step for this ASSURE model, we need to discuss and evaluate our work in other hand
critic our work on our own to know where is our weakness and strength on the video so that we
can fix it to make an improvement in future. Not only us, but we also spread this video among
student Part 1 to give them analyze what others thing that we should do to make this video easily
to understand and what kind of things to add as improvement. Overall, many people gave an
opinion that we has used lots of typographic at certain part and indirectly the video become
crowded.
Conclusion
This paper work is written based on the ASSURE Model by Smaldino (2004).There are six steps
in the model to make sure that the media and technology chosen is suitable with the target group
as well as to determine the effectiveness of the instructions to make we achieve the objectives
and our goals perfectly.
