God Calls Us
To Worship
The Call To Worship

! ~ John 12:13; Zechariah 9:9 ~

!Leader: A great crowd who had
come to the feast heard that Jesus was
coming to Jerusalem. So they took
branches of palm trees, and went out to
meet him, crying,
!

Unison: Hosanna! Blessed is he who

comes in the name of the Lord, even the
King of Israel!
!

Leader: Rejoice greatly, O daughter of

Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of
Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming
to you righteous and having salvation is
he, humble and mounted on a donkey
on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

!Unison: Blessed is he who comes in the

name of the Lord. Hosanna in the
highest!

The keys of death and hell
Are to our Jesus givn

Lift up your heart, lift up your voice

Rejoice, again I say, rejoice

Ten Thousand Reasons

!
chorus

Bless the Lord, O my soul, O my soul

Worship His holy name
Sing like never before, O my soul
I'll worship Your holy name

!
The sun comes up

It's a new day dawning

It's time to sing Your song again
Whatever may pass
And whatever lies before me
Let me be singing
When the evening comes

!
!
You're rich in love
(repeat chorus)

And You're slow to anger

Your name is great
And Your heart is kind
For all Your goodness
I will keep on singing
Ten thousand reasons
For my heart to find

!
(repeat chorus)
!
And on that day

When my strength is failing

The end draws near
And my time has come
Still my soul will sing
Your praise unending
Ten thousand years
And then forevermore

!
!
Jesus, I'll worship Your holy name
(repeat chorus)

Lord, I'll worship Your holy name

Sing like never before, O my soul

I'll worship Your holy name
Jesus, I'll worship Your holy name
I'll worship Your holy name

Call To Repentance &
Renewal

!
!
Come now, let us reason together, says
~ Isaiah 1:18 ~

the Lord. Though your sins are like

scarlet, they shall be as white as snow;
though they are red like crimson, they
shall be like wool.

!
!
Unison: Almighty and merciful God, we
Prayer of Confession

have erred and strayed from Your ways

like lost sheep. We have followed too
much the devices and desires of our own
hearts. We have offended against Your
holy laws. We have left undone those
things which we ought to have done; and
we have done those things that we ought
not to have done.

! ~ Silent Confession ~
!Unison: Oh Lord, have mercy upon us.

Spare those who confess their faults.

Restore those who are repentant,
according to Your promises declared to
the world in Christ Jesus, our Lord.

Name Above All Names

!
From the brightness of His glory
Jesus, the Son of God descends
Takes on the nature of a servant
Jesus, obedient to death
The Father willed to crush Him
As a sacrifice for sin
He satisfied Gods justice
And in victry rose again

chorus
You are highly exalted
Name above all names
Worthy of all praise
You are reigning in glory
Jesus, Youre the King over everything
Exalted to the highest place
Given the name above all other names

The tomb is empty, Christ has risen

Jesus, the Lamb once crucified
The angels never cease to worship
Jesus, in heaven glorified
To Him belongs the power
The wisdom, might and strength
All glory and dominion
To the Lord of every age

!
(repeat chorus)

Our knees will bow

Our tongues proclaim
That You are Lord of all
Our knees will bow
Our tongues proclaim
That You are Lord of all

The Presentation Of Our

Tithes & Offerings

Song Of Preparation
O Worship the King

O worship the King all glorious above

And gratefully sing His wonderful love
Our Shield and Defender
The Ancient of Days
Pavilioned in splendour
And girded with praise

O tell of His might, O sing of His grace

Whose robe is the light
Whose canopy space
His chariots of wrath
The deep thunder clouds form
And dark is His path
On the winds of the storm

Thy bountiful care

What tongue can recite
It breathes in the air, it shines in the light
It streams from the hills
It descends to the plain
And sweetly distills
In the dew and the rain

!
Frail children of dust and feeble as frail

In Thee do we trust, nor find thee to fail

Thy mercies how tender
How firm to the end
Our Maker, Defender
Redeemer, and Friend

(repeat chorus)

God Receives
Our Offerings

God Gives Us
His Words
Of Eternal Life

!And grant, O merciful God, for His sake,

that we might live a holy, just, and

humble life to the glory of Your Holy
name. Amen.

Leader: Let us pray.
The Words Of The Gospel
!Unison: Our Father in Heaven,
!
hallowed be your name. Your Kingdom
~ Romans 8:1 & 5:1 ~
come, Your will be done, on earth as it is
!
There is therefore now no condemnation in heaven.
!Give us this day our daily bread, and
for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Since we have been justified by faith, we
have peace with God through our Lord
Jesus Christ.

Song Of Response

forgive us our debts as we also have

forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil.

!For the kingdom, the power, and the

glory are yours, now and forever. Amen.

Songs for Communion

!
!
My hope is built on nothing less
Cornerstone

Than Jesus blood and righteousness

I dare not trust the sweetest frame
But wholly trust in Jesus name

chorus
Christ alone, Cornerstone
Weak made strong in the Saviours love
Through the storm, He is Lord
Lord of all

When darkness seems to hide His face

I rest on His unchanging grace
In every high and stormy gale
My anchor holds within the veil
My anchor holds within the veil

!
!
When He shall come with trumpet sound
(repeat chorus)

Oh, may I then in Him be found

Dressed in His righteousness alone
Faultless to stand before the throne

(repeat chorus)
All I Have Is Christ

I once was lost in darkest night

Yet thought I knew the way
The sin that promised joy and life
Had led me to the grave
I had no hope that You would own
A rebel to Your will
And if You had not loved me first
I would refuse You still

But as I ran my hell-bound race

Indifferent to the cost
You looked upon my helpless state
And led me to the cross
And I beheld Gods love displayed
You suffered in my place
You bore the wrath reserved for me
Now all I know is grace

chorus
Hallelujah! All I have is Christ
Hallelujah! Jesus is my life

Now, Lord, I would be Yours alone

And live so all might see
The strength to follow Your commands
Could never come from me
Oh Father, use my ransomed life
In any way You choose.
And let my song forever be
My only boast is You

(repeat chorus)

How Great Is Our God

The splendour of the King

Clothed in majesty
Let all the earth rejoice
Let all the earth rejoice

He wraps himself in Light

And darkness tries to hide
And trembles at His voice
And trembles at His voice

!
chorus

How great is our God, sing with me

How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God

Age to age He stands

And time is in His hands
Beginning and the end
Beginning and the end

The Godhead Three in One:

Father, Spirit, Son
The Lion and the Lamb

Name above all names

Worthy of all praise

Our Confession Of Faith
!
~ Colossians 1:15-20 ~
!
Leader: Let us confess our faith
!Unison: Jesus Christ is the image of the

invisible God, the firstborn of all

creation; For by Him all things were
created, in heaven and on earth, visible
and invisible, whether thrones or
dominions or rulers or authoritiesall
things were created through Him and
for Him.
And He is before all things, and in him
all things hold together. And He is the
head of the body, the church. He is the
beginning, the firstborn from the dead,
that in everything he might be
preeminent.

!For in Him all the fullness of God was

pleased to dwell, and through Him to

reconcile to Himself all things whether
on earth or in heaven, making peace by
the blood of His cross.

upon the sobering events of that Friday some 2,000 years ago. The service will be
approximately 1 hour long, and will include various readings and songs that help tell
the story and explain the significance of this great act of love. Note: childcare will
NOT be provided for this service.

Youth Group: Friday at the Fergusons, 7-9pm

During the 6 Fridays of Lent leading up to Easter, the youth will gather at the
Fergies house (331 Citadel Drive NW). Well be working our way through a unique,
DVD-driven study called, The Easter Experience, which brings the passion and
the resurrection of Jesus to life through dramatic storytelling and challenging
teaching done in a highly cinematic style.

Easter Is Next Sunday!

Next Sunday, well leave the season of Lent behind and well join Christians around
the world in celebrating the resurrection of Jesus which guarantees our own. Make
plans now to attend and stay for the potluck lunch immediately after the service.

Potluck Sunday: NEXT WEEK

On the first Sunday of every month, we celebrate a meal together after the service.
These are intentional times of meeting new friends and catching up with old friends.
We want to be intentional in seeking to build relationships and our monthly potluck
luncheons are a perfect opportunity to do so. Please bring food for yourself / your
family plus extra to share with our guests.

Lent Series

We will focus on whats known as The Lords Prayer. It was a prayer Jesus gave
when he was teaching the disciples and a multitude of people in The Sermon on the
Mount. He gave his followers a model of prayer that has served Christians over the
last 2000 years, and is considered a basic discipline that Christians should master.
