CHAPTER IV

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

This chapter presents the system results, screen shots of the system, and the
observation about the developed software. It contains the actual testing of the
system and honest observations of the proponents based on the objectives of the
study as well as the analysis of results through testing and validation and
interpretation of the results.

Observation
1. Analyze the processes involved on how the accountant accomplish their
salaries computation
In order to achieve this objective, the proponents gathered all the necessary
data and report of Nellcon Builders and Construction Supply based on the result,
proponents found out that the company is still using a manual computation of the
salaries of employees. With regards to this matter and by searching on a database
that place in a cabinet its take an hour/minute to look for a database. So,
proponents came up in an idea to have secured database and change the manual
way system into a computerized one.

Figure 6
This figure shows the login form of administrator. The admin will input the
user name and password. He/she is the one who can edit, save, and update the
information of the employees.

27

Figure 7
This figure shows the attendance form. The employees will input their
name and he/she input the time in and the time out. The details of time in and time
out of the employees will show in the data grid view.

28

Figure 8
This figure shows the computation annual salary of employees. The system
is already computed the attendance of the employees. The accountant can easily
compute the salary of the employee in just inputting the name, number of days of
work, the rate of the day and the salary the system can compute the salary of the
system by just clicking the compute button. And it will show in data grid view.
The add button is can add the another employee who next to compute his salary.
The delete button is the data can delete the data of the employee and the update
button is the admin update the status of the employees salary.

Figure 9
This figure shows the menu form, it compost of three buttons there are
attendance, employee and payroll. The attendance button shows the inputted
attendance of the employee, also in employees button it shows all the information
about the employee while in payroll button it shows the computation of the salary.

2. To evaluate the proposed study in terms of its:

To evaluate the system, the proponents conducted a survey. The proponents
present Attendance and Payroll system for the employees of NellCon Builders
and Construction Supply to 15 respondents. To determine the feedbacks of the
respondents about the presentation of the proposed system, the evaluation form

will be used. The system was evaluated in terms of User Interface, Functionality
compatibility and speed.
The table shows below is the numerical rating use to assess the system. It
consists of four categories presented in the evaluation form; the numerical rating
value, mean ranges and verbal interpretations. The scale 1 as highest and 4 as
lowest was used as basis for quantitative assessment.

A scale of 1 interprets as Very Satisfied; a scale of 2 interprets as Satisfied.

The numerical scale number 3 is Unsatisfied. On the other hand, the Very
Unsatisfied interpretation signifies a scale of 4.

System Evaluation
The following results are in accordance with the survey are accurately
computed by the proponent. The results are precisely evaluated with the
participation of the respondents. Based on the results of the evaluation in terms of:
user interface, functionality and compatibility of the system; this will be
interpreted that this system is acceptable by the end users.
Testing the system successfully will lead the researchers to the next step in
which the system transferred into physically reality. The system will be
implemented to be fully used by the end users, it must be operational. The
researchers implemented the proposed system Attendance and Payroll system for
Nellcon Builders and Construction supply.
If ever the Attendance and Payroll system will use this implemented
system, by Nellcon Builders and Contruction supply it will become easily to
compute all the salary of employee other than using a manual process of
computation.
