GRACE NEWS
THE SEASON OF THE CROSS: PALM SUNDAY
Almighty and everliving God, in Your tender love for the human race You
sent Your Son our Savior Jesus Christ to suffer death upon the
cross...mercifully grant that we may walk in the way of suffering, and also
share in His resurrection; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and
reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen
GRACE FAMILY DAY
Today is our annual Family Day event! Following the morning worship
service, everyone is invited to stay for a picnic lunch in our Family Life
Center; then, our pastor shares a short story with the kids before they
search for the thousands of candy-filled Easter eggs hidden all over the
church property! We've even invited the Easter Bunny to be here and take
pics with our families! What a great way to celebrate the day our Jesus
entered Jerusalem amid the shouts of children saying, "Hosanna!" We will
have NO evening worship service tonight!
GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE
This year, the Chattanooga Churches of the Nazarene will meet at Calvary
Church of the Nazarene for our annual Good Friday Service at 7pm.
LADIES OF GRACE
Ladies of Grace...Are you ready to get a little artsy? Join us on Saturday,
April 18th at 5pm in the FLC for a "Paint Party". No experience necessary!
A professional artist from The Creator's Canvas will be teaching us step by
step instructions to paint our own masterpiece with a Christian theme! The
event cost is $30 per person (this includes your approximately four hour
lesson, canvas, all paint and supplies needed). Please register and pay fee at
the Connection Center before Sunday, April 12. Invite a friend to come
with you and bring snacks to share! See Halisha Sturm with any questions.
CHILDREN'S TALENT
Each year, the East TN District Children's Ministries host a talent competition. This year, we will go to Knoxville First Church on April 18! If your
child(ren) are interested in sharing their talents, then please see Jacob &
Rhea Ward. Forms and information are available at the Connections Desk.
WEDNESDAYS AT GRACE
Each Wednesday at 7PM, several opportunities exist to worship and
serve! The Choir rehearses in the sanctuary, our teens meet for Bible study
and fun, Grace Kids participate in our own scouting program called
"Caravan," and adults begin a new series this week, April 1, on "How to
Study the Bible" with Pastor in the Fireside Room!
