3.0

PROCEDURE
3.1

RECORDS OF PERMANENT NDT PERSONNEL


IQG shall maintain records of personnel permanently employed. These
records must include the formal qualifications held by each person, eg.
PCN, CSWIP, AWS, ASNT, SNT-TC-lA, etc., and a clear statement as to
the type of activities for which the person is considered to be competent, eg NDT
(Radiographic Testing, Magnetic particle Testing, Liquid Dye Penetrant
Testing, Ultrasonic Testing). It is of course, quite feasible for an experienced
Technician/Inspector to have endorsements for several types of activities.

3.2

ROUTINE SELECTION PROCEDURES


In majority of routine activities tasks, managers and supervisory personnel of
IQG will have a knowledge of the experience and competence of
the personnel at their disposal and will select the person most suitable for that task
to be performed. Where large numbers of persons or perhaps unusual tasks
are required, it will be necessary to scrutinise records of qualifications and
experience in order to meet a Client's requirements, which must always be the
top priority. Under no circumstances, should personnel be assigned to tasks
for which they are not competent.

3.3

CLIENT'S PERSONNEL REQUIREMENTS


On occasion, particularly in the case of large projects, a Client may present his
specific requirements for the qualification / experience of the personnel to be used
and may also in some instances, wish to interview personnel before acceptance for
a project. It is essential that only personnel who meet these requirements are offered
or, why a personnel who does not fulfil all the Client requirements is considered
competent for the assignment.

In association with the previous clause, it is sometimes necessary to forward the
curriculum vitae of personnel to a Client. It is of course important that the
information contained in the curriculum vitae has been checked, and documented
by the Manager /Supervisor carrying out this verification.
3.5

INTERVIEW BY CLIENT
Prior to agreement of a proposed personnel to be interviewed by a Client, that
personnel will be interviewed by Manager /Supervisor and briefed on the
requirements of the Client., the nature of the assignment and etc. . Under no
circumstances shall an inappropriately qualified/experienced personnel be
presented to a potential Client.

3.6

CURRICULUM VITAE
3.6.1 Increasingly Clients are requesting Curriculum Vitae (CV) of proposed
personnel for assignment to their work with objective of satisfying their own
QA System and gaining the assurance that the personnel looking after their
interest is indeed competent. It is therefore important that any CV presented
to a Client demonstrates our appreciation of the importance of the assigned
work by giving evidence of the personnel qualifications, experience and
familiarity in the manufacture and test of similar material in the past.
3.6.2 Curriculum vitae of all personnel shall be maintained and if called upon to
support a quotation for work will be constructed and presented in a manner
similar to and as per Appendix 1.

3.6.3 Curriculum Vitae will be constructed against the following heading :

Curriculum vitae of all personnel shall be maintained by the Quality Manager for as long
as the personnel is under the employment of IQG.
