Visionary specializing in Engineering, Project, Construction and Facility Management with multi-disciplinary roles
coordinating permitting, legal, insurance, environmental, safety, operations and accounting in corporate office and
field sites both, domestic and international assignments. Skilled developing concepts, designing solutions,
estimating project costs, writing bid specifications and implementing successful multi-million dollar project
completion. Managed construction and facility projects in power, industrial minerals, energy, steel, refinery, heavy
industry and other critical world markets including utilities, marine, truck and rail terminals, warehouses, offices,
water treatment and environmental control systems.
SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Technical lead for all capital projects for Oxbow and for Oxbows customers projects. Included all
design, estimating, scope, specification, bid documents, contract development, contractor negotiation,
construction, project and facility management resulting in repeat customer relations and extending
corporate contracts due to successes. Directed and managed average of 17 projects / year.
Strategic execution of all technical projects from 1998 until 2015 when company grew in size from $40M
to $3B. Since 2012 managed staff of corporate engineers, support staff and plant engineers.
In 2015 developed and implemented, first of its kind, solution to save $1M annually in gas consumption
at Argentinean plant.
First responder to facility emergencies to take charge of recovery and rebuild efforts. Coordinated and
rallied the team to replace a collapsed $4M shipload by redesigning and replacing at overseas operating
plant, under tight time and cost constraints. Resulted in eliminating $600,000/yr in demurrage and
generated a profit in despatch.
In 2009-2010 designed, developed and managed installation of 16 construction projects totaling $30M
mostly to help restart Oxbows Port Arthur facility after being ravished by Hurricane Ike. Best when
working under pressure and take pride in being someone to be counted on.

Oxbow LLC, West Palm Beach, FL
1998 - 2015
Fortune 500 privately held company with annual sales in excess of $3B, specializing in the energy and carbon
industries.
Director of Engineering, Construction and Project Management at following facilities:
ICEC Lynton Forming, Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada (2012 2015)
Designed complete $120M sulfur forming facility in CN rail yard. Complete original design and concept for
entire facility, specified technology, developed process flow, specification, rail sidings, etc., on very small site
plot in difficult climate and lack of utilities were a few challenges that were overcome.
Chicago Calcining, Lemont, IL (2010 2012)
Generated design and managed implementation of $5M in various repairs / upgrades to Lemont Facility,
including first of its kind dust collection system for barn. Another example of a successful design, using standard
equipment, in never attempted configuration resulting in capitol savings over $200,000 USD.

Successfully designed and implemented $12M in major modifications to entire calcining facility to lower
environmental emissions due to lawsuits by surrounding community and government under tight time constraints
due to a court order.

Hunt Refinery, Tuscaloosa, AL (2007)


Developed concept, cost and was corporate project manager on $8M joint venture grinding mill and all related
ancillaries. Technical sales leader for custom designed $1M each, ground product material receiving concepts at
customers facilities.
Ultramar Refinery, Port of Long Beach, CA (2005 2007)
Engineer, Project and Construction Manager for $7M demo, replace and expand owners existing covered storage
facility. Managed the project as a representative of refinery on land owned by Port of Long Beach. Extensive
permitting required with State, City and Port Authority. Project ran on time and project was on budget.
LAXT Terminal, Port of Los Angeles, CA (2001 2004)
Developed $13M concept, cost, bid specification and provided Project and Construction Management for a new
100,000 ton covered storage facility for Port of Los Angeles. System required extensive tie-ins to an existing
operating terminal. Several years later led the on-site team performing ground remediation and demolition. Site
closed due to collapse of coal market, the anchor commodity.
Bay Shore Power, Toledo, OH (2000)
Designed 4 mile conveyor from refinery to power plant stockpile and reclaim. Project Manager for ash storage,
handling, truck loading and marketing of ash product.
Oxbow Power LLC, West Palm Beach, FL (1998 2000)
Director of Engineering for Power Divisions efforts to expand generating capacity. Projects ranged from
Geothermal to solid fuel CoGen plants resulting in addition of 9 power plants to portfolio.
