Brochure
Description
Two sided offset brochure with one fold.

Objectives

Set up and align a two-sided, folded document. Learn how


to wrap text around an image. Use paragraph styles in InDesign

Process

First I made my offset layout in Adobe Indesign. Then I added the three words,
Music, Lights, Animals to be the tab on the right side of my design. Then
I added the white paw prints in the inside. Next, I created my logo in Adobe
Illustrator by inserting the picture of the boombox and then adding the text in
a font I liked, over the picture. Then I added the colorful gradient to it. After
I inserted my finished logo, I added in my text and pictures. I used the text
wrapping technique in Adobe Photoshop to wrap my text around the neon tiger
at the bottom right corner. Lastly, I made sure all my colors worked together and
matched throughout the brochure. Then I added my headings.

Montage
Description
Montage of two or more photos places on top of one another to look smooth.

Objectives

Learn to manage photoshop layers.


Learn to blend images smoothly, using masks and
filters. Apply appropriate typography.

Process
First I chose the two pictures I wanted and pasted them into
Adobe Photoshop. Then I used a mask and a filter to blend the
two together seamlessly so you could not tell they started out
as two separate photos. I had to go in with a very small brush
and smooth out the edges of the photos so they looked blended
enough. Finally, I added the text and changes the colors so it
macthed the pictures.

Event Flyer
Description
A flyer made for an event in Microsoft Word.

Objectives

Apply the design principles and use appropriate typography. Incorporate


basic InDesign skills to improve basic flyer layout. Create a project folder
with image, logo and InDesign document to keep links intact.

Process

First I decided what event I wanted to do and then opened a


blank document in Microsoft word. Next, I added the image
of the banana in the background and added the black circles
on the page. Next I added the banner at the title and added my
title and then body copy. Next, I added the fonts I wanted and
mde sure my color scheme worked.

Webpage
Description
Webpage activity using HTML and CSS skills showcasing a
personally designed logo.

Objectives

Size and optimize an original logo as a .png or a web page. Describe the process of creating
your logo and how it appeals to a target audience. Design a web page using HTML to
display a logo and content.. Identify hex colors and compress multiple files in a zipped
folder.

Process

First, I used text wrangler to create the HTML document with all of my content.
Then I added my personalized logo that I had crated on Adobe Photoshop.
Next. I attached a CSS document to the HTML document to create the
personalized sizing, color and spacing of the webpage. NExt, I added the
background of the brown vertical stripes. Next, I added the colors of the words
and changed my fonts so they worked well with one another.

Photodesign
Description
Take your own picture and use Photoshop to show a
correct color scheme that works with your picture.

Demonstrate the ability to have a color scheme that works with your
theme.
Add text to your design that matches your message and color scheme.

Process

First. I went outside and took some photos of my friends and chose which
photo I wanted to create my dsign around. Then I edited the photo and made
4 corrections to it by adjusting the levels, vibrance/Saturasion, selective Color
and then sharpness. Next, I looked at the colors in the photo and saw red,
blue and gold colors so I decided to make my color scheme primary. Next,
I added the colored bars to match the photo and then added the words. I
added the quote from the scriptures and changed the fonts so they worked
well with my design. Lastly, I alligned my text and made sure it fit well on the
page.

Business Cards
Description
Create a business card and matching letterhead with a personally
made logo.

Process
First. I designed the M main logo and inserted that onto the top of
my letterhead and the front of my business card. Next, I chose what
background image I wanted and placed it nehind the text on the Letterhead and business cards. Next, I added the blue dots to matcn the background picture. Then, I added the personal information and made sure
it fit on the page.

Objectives

personal image. Design consistent layouts for business cards
and letterhead. Use the basic tools of Adobe Indesign and
Adobe Illustrator.

Process

First I created my logo in and made sure I liked the color and font of my
information. Then I pasted it onto the top part of the letter and added
the background image. Next, I changed the fonts and colors and made
sure my color scheme was consistent throughout. Finally, I made sure I
had enough white space throughout and the design had good flow.

Flyer
Description
A flyer to advertise a Leadership Conference made in Adobe
Indesign.

Process
First, I inserted the picture I wanted and made sure it was in the
right spot. Next I changed the settings to grey scale to fulfill the
black and white requirements. Then, I put in the grey header with
the Leadership Conference text. Next, I downloaded the text
about the event and inserted it where I wanted it. Lastly, I added the
companys logo and alligned all of my text to the right or left.

Logos

Objectives
Create a variety of logos to fit a personal image or company. Use
the basicc tools of Illustrator.

Process
First, I created the shape of the coffee cup by tracing the design of an image
online of a coffee cup. Next, I added the brown text and the gold text and
placed it in the correct place. Finally, I added the steam coming from the cup
and changed my text to the correct font. For my next design, I used the shape
tool to create 3 ovals all bigger than the one prior to it. Next I added the dark to
light brown colors. I added the text and changed the font to one I liked. For my
last design I traced the image of a guitar and made it kind of an abstract shape.
Then I added the brown dots and changed them to different colors. Lastly, I
added the text and changed the font to one I liked.
