Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing this letter in order to lodge a complaint regarding my luggage, which
has been lost in the airport of La Guardia.
This is not my first trip from Bucharest to New York using your company, but it is
the first time something like this happened. As soon as I arrived in New York, after the 9
hour flight, I noticed that my luggage was nowhere to find. From what I know, the
luggage is supposed to be checked all the way through, up to the point of my destination
but, apparently, the luggage has been misplaced or lost, since I could not find it.
Despite my efforts in trying to contact the airports staff, in search for answers, I
received a rude feedback, since nobody was willing to help me. I was even considered
guilty for not being careful enough with my property, even though they were responsible
for this uncomfortable situation. I find it completely unprofessional how, in todays
world, with all the security and technology available, this well-known airline company
can commit such an error.
I would kindly request that the search for my possessions to start as soon as
possible, and to get the luggage back. Also, I believe that the airline company should take
into consideration a compensation for the stress caused by this unfortunate error occurred
while using their services.
If I will receive the help I need and, instead, I will be treated in a negative
manner, I will take the case in court, and let the law decide. I do, however, hope that such
action will not be necessary and that this matter can be amicably resolved.
