Resolutions Authorizing Amendments to Various Professional Services

Recommendations:

Adopt resolutions authorizing the City Administrator to:


1. Execute an Amendment to the Memorandum of
Understanding for the Central Coast Regional Areas
of Special Biological Significance Dischargers
Monitoring Program; and
2. Execute Amendment No. 1 to Professional Services
Agreement ADM-PSA-Price-0023-14-15 for interim
city clerk services for a not to exceed amount
$96,000; and
3. Execute Amendment No. 2 to Professional Services
Agreement PBD-PCA-FOUR-006-13-14 with 4Leaf
Inc., for permit technician services for a not to exceed
amount of $132,000; and
4. Execute Amendment No. 3 to Professional Services
Agreement ASD-PSA-MAR-003-13/14 with MarTech
for information technology services for a not to
exceed amount of $240,000

As recommended by Mayor Burnett and Vice-Mayor


Beach, authorize Staff to gather information on
regulations of other cities regarding restricting smoking in
commercial zones, on public lands and on public-rightsof-way. After information is accumulated, the Mayor will
consider whether to appoint a citizens group to review
the regulations and determine what, if anything, actions
might be considered for Carmel-by-the-Sea.

Mayors Letter to City and Community Groups regarding the


Centennial

Recommendation:

Authorize the Mayor to send a letter to the Citys Boards,


Commissions and Committees, community groups and
schools inviting their participation in the development of
projects, programs, activities and events for 2016.

September 9, 2014 meeting discussion of Car Week and provide
direction

Review of City Policies pertaining to Special Events and Consideration


of Resolutions regarding the Concours Caf and the Pebble Beach
Tour dElegance Vintage Car Parade, Display and Luncheon for 2015.

Recommendation:

1) Authorize a waiver of special event fees in the


amount of $1072, authorization to serve alcohol at the
event, and the City funding half the costs of portable
restrooms and dumpsters for the Carmel Chamber of
Commerce Concours Caf on Thursday, August 13,
2015; and
2) Authorize the closure of certain streets and City
funding for half the costs of portable restrooms and
dumpsters for the Pebble Beach Tour dElegance
vintage car parade/display and luncheon on Thursday,
August 13, 2015.

of each month at 4:30 p.m., unless otherwise noticed.
The City Council meetings on the First Monday of each month at
4:30 p.m. in Workshop session, unless otherwise noticed.
