"No bullying in School" seeks to educate faculty and students on measures to effectively communicate the importance of a violence-free school environment. The program includes a student-based concert, educator training, parental communication tools, and a media masters program. "This goes beyond simple training seminars. I wish I could say those work, but it's clear it doesn't," says chief of media operations.

No Bullying In School Rallies Behind Parents and Educators at
McKinney Boyd High School
"No Bullying in School, is deeply saddened by the passing of Raymond Howell, Jr. We send our deepest condolences to Raymond's family and friends, encourage students of McKinney Boyd High School to participate in grief counseling offered in response to this tragedy and support McKinney ISD during their ongoing investigation. Our position is one of advocacy. This program seeks to educate faculty and students on measures to effectively communicate the importance of a violence-free school environment. The program introduces an external source of education for educators, administrators, parents, and students on the identification and resolution of bullying in school. Our focus aims at providing a comprehensive developmental staff and student training strategically designed on preventative education using evidence and scientifically-based research and studies. The program, which includes a student-based concert, educator training, parental communication tools, and a media masters program, directly emphasizes a safer school environment through a motivational form of education for students and specialized education for adults. It includes assistive sources of collateral and active materials that will enhance the local anti-bullying annual improvement plan set forth by School Districts, says Aj Leal, Chief of Media Operations. He adds, This program encourages students to use positivity as a force against violence. Understanding a student's feeling of helplessness is key to determining unique measures enabling the student to reach out and receive help. Too often we hear, nobody did anything, and it is unfortunate. The process starts with educating about how to help: what to say, how to say it, and what to do. If we know what works, we can establish change. This goes beyond simple training seminars. I wish I could say those work, but it's clear it doesn't, Aj Leal exclaims. He continues, Our ultimate goal is to review how many students report bullying, examine disciplinary actions taken in response to those reports and monitor consequences stemming from bullying. At that point, instituting programs facing those harsh realities head-on would influence the amount of change we all desire - It would disable bullying at the source. Claudia Corral, Founder of No Bullying In School, explains, It's important for the community to rise up against bullying, but we need to encourage peaceful participation and respect to the hard-working staff at McKinney ISD. We encourage the community to contribute in a way they best see fit, in response to the early departure of our beloved Raymond. The No Bullying In School Tour has begun contract negotiations with Dallas ISD and looks forward to working with McKinney ISD in the 2015-2016 school year.
