TIME . . . TIME . . .
in search of my soul! in search of my soul!

by John Tatlow by John Tatlow

Preface
Hello . . . I am John Tatlow. I would just like to thank
you for taking the time to read my book. Bless you and
I hope this book might help, inspire or awaken new
perspectives in your life.

I wrote this book because of my experiences. I had a

vision of my deceased mother and me in heaven that
changed the way I perceive life. I feel it is my duty and
responsibility as a Christian to share this with others.

Most people live their life not realizing what really is

around them. There eyes are so focused on this earthly
world they don’t see the spiritual side . . . I close my
eyes sometimes, put my hands out behind me like
wings . . . and slowly open my eyes to look at
people . . .in people, they’re souls . . . just like I saw my
mother in heaven. Her sparkling and shimmering
white soul.

Another reason I wrote these poems . . . if I should

ever have children and die while they are young. I
want them to know me for who I am. I am sure my
mother wanted to know me better on a personal basis
but she passed when I was young. The last reason is if
my body should leave and my soul shall rise to
heaven. I’ll have something left here to inspire people

and tell my family and friends what kind of person I

am and to show them that there is a heaven!
Even though I been disabled with Huntington’s and
Epilepsy . . . it hasn’t keep me from accomplishing my
goals and dreams . . .It takes God, support, love and
persistence.
Before I begin I would like to share with you a couple
of my favorite verses that always seem to inspire me.

Mathew 5:16
“. . .let your light shine before men, that they may
see your good deeds and praise your Father in
heaven”

Galations 5:22,23
But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace,
patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness
and self-control

Mathew 7:7
“Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will
find; knock and the door will be opened to you”

Ever So Thankful A Poet’s Testimony
This book is dedicated in loving memory to Hello! My name is John
Shawne Gayle Tatlow. My deceased mother who Born on the 24th of March, 1980
came to me in a vision. I know I’ll see her again To my dear mother Shawne
someday . . . and I am sure she is enjoying her bliss Who was such a kind lady
up in the heavens above.
I was very close to her
I would like to thank God for everything. Unclaimed by my father
Especially for giving me the chance, the awesome No sister nor brother
opportunity to share my life, my vision, my soul Just me and my mother
with so many people through poetry. Christ you
are such an inspiration and heavenly Father An unknown disease she had
thanks for the ultimate sacrifice of sending your Huntington’s is now the name
son to die for our sins. It made the family so sad
Decreasing mentally she was never the same
I want to thank my guardians and grandparents
Dean and Marion, my Uncle Doug and Aunt Nelda. I was eight when she passed away
For their constant care and endless love. I would Faithfulness in such a difficult path
like to thank my family and friends. For always Such an example, each and every day
being there. And for encouraging me. Helping me Even through such an aftermath
when things were bad. Passed few a difficult day
When I was in bed
I’d like to thank the reader. For taking time to get I lay and I pray
to know me and my life through each of my poems. Asking why she was dead
Whenever someone reads my poems I feel inspired
and joyful. Then my mother came to me
In the brightest beam
TIME . . . TIME . . .
in search of my soul! in search of my soul!

Beautiful was she I lived with my proud grandfather

Shining in a dream Does things right in everything

Pg.01 Pg.02
Seeming like a telepath mime
I asked if I could stay
Shook her head, no not your time
Then wiped my teardrops away

I woke up soaked in tears

I then knew
That in a few years
I would be with her too

I had the clearest vision

Where the brightest beam glows
In a place called heaven
Where the love of God flows

Where I went and saw floating far above

God is perfect that much is true
If I tried describing his ominous love
I wouldn’t know where to start, not a clue

So by fact I know there is a gracious God

And by fact I know there is a unity so nice
So by fact I know there is both soul and bod
And by fact I know there is a heavenly paradise

I lived with my loving grandmother

Who spoiled me with many a thing
TIME . . . TIME . . .

Expression Of Art Twelve I was
I went and moved
Taking this world To Uncle Doug and Aunt Nelda’s
With me I was very confused
Taking you on
My journey They brought me to church
Introduced me to Jesus Christ
Writing my life Awakening my spiritual search
For all of you Realizing the time I had waste
Feelings of the heart
I write true Again I moved not very fun
Back to my grandparents
When there are clouds I fell into a depression
I just write them away A road of sin I choose to taste
Expressing my art
Brightening my day My separation from God affected me
My separation from many of friend
It’s spiritual Holed in my room full of worry
Anger and bliss Lost in the woods a prayer I send
Lots of love
Friends I miss Spiritually frozen for many a year
I knew He was giving
It’s my life I knew He was there
It’s my soul Like a fool, I wasn’t willing
It’s my happy place
It’s my whole I fell in the valley deep
Called maniacally depressed
TIME . . . TIME . . .
in search of my soul! in search of my soul!

Thoughts of suicide making me weep To youth and things of that sort

That much I confess More and more people I met
Pg.0

I thought I was a weight Goals With Poetry
An extra mouth to feed
Others my age, full of anger and hate My poetry and lyrics
I felt like an unwanted weed In the heart someone hits
Realizing they have a soul
A little voice inside That they are not alone
There’s more to be done
Don’t continue to hide They have a loving God
You’re here for a reason Something to live for
A merciful Christ
When I turned nineteen Quite the Savior
I started going to youth
My faith in God was redeemed I want to spread the Word
I saw again the truth Be a fisher of men
Through these poems
I accepted me for me Maybe . . . I can
Look deep inside my soul
To let others see
My awesome wonderful whole

A visit on last November’s eve

To Doug and the rest of them
They were certain, yes they believe
He could help release my tension

So I moved to the Fort’

Regularly to church I went

I wish I could say all of this in a normal testimony
All I Wish But I am privileged, happy and very blessed
That I have a life of abnormally
All I wish For not all people tasted heaven like I did
Is to tell my story
Showing everybody That was my life past
And sharing my glory That was my many my lesson
Learning so very fast
I feel so free From each and every one
When I am heard
Overjoyed I am spreading I am always amazed
That Christian word By the faith of believers
Yes I am always astonished
My family and friends By the assurance of receivers
To realize and understand
The feelings I experienced Jesus made me more charitable, respecting,
Dreaming of heaven grand loving, among many other things and I thank
Him for that .Later in life I found out that I have a
Wanting to be known larger family then I thought. The family of God.
For shining like a inspirational ray Sometimes I close my eyes, remembering how
Before I return souls shine . . . then I look
To my earthly clay upon each of you . . .
with your own soul . . .sparkling
and shining! No one realize,
but I feel with new eyes
I see the world in a different light.
I thank God again for

Now I be baptized Shyness Is My Foe
In all three names
My souls next step I saw you again
Never will I be the same The other day
Spreading sunshine
To my faith Your special way
A public display
That I have accepted Jesus I wanted to come
For He is the way And say hello
Shyness weighs me down
I write this message It is my foe
To whom who read Modest and nervous
To whom who heard Timid and tongue-tied
For us Jesus bled . . . Sometimes I wish
To have a bolder side
For you a question
Before I depart If I was more brave
Do you have Jesus Spirited and strong
In your heart? Maybe . . . just maybe
Things would get along
The Bible says
To be meek
A spiritual place
That I seek
I am who I am

When I’m listening As people are dying
To a slammin’ beat I eagerly await

With my crew And how all this death
It gives me Will improve my health
Something to do
Why won’t you let me be
After a stiff drink And see John my baby
To set the mood I miss him dearly
I get out there Only visits me yearly
Like a playa’ should
I am losing hope
Dancing dreamer As I try to cope
I feel so high To live one more day
As I float The ordinary way
As I fly

Dead I am doomed An earthly tomb
In a tomb A growing doom

Body to earth I ask myself constantly

My souls birth Questions continuously
To the heavenly skies What is haunting me
Eagerly it flies What could it be

I ask the Lord

For a final word

Welcome To Insomnia My First Twenty Years
It’s four A.M. My mother had me in 1980
And I’m up again She named me John
I arise All my life I was fairly weak
Scary morning eyes But my heart and soul was strong

I have a shower Then I started growing

Feeling nothing but sour Yeah . . . I really grew
Lately I might Then at eight dear mother
Get a hour in a night Because of illness I lost you . . .

Hypnotic is the way Sleeping deeply I had a dream

I act when it is day I then had a wonderful night
To myself I am a slave A holy figure of some ancient soul
Stuck here in a cave Oh God the heavenly sight

Everyday I felt like I was flying

Attacking some way In lovely bright clouds
All hopes are down She told me not to worry
I slowly drown Felt I was being loved by crowds

At night later on When I awoke

All energy is gone I wiped my eye
Cause in the evening Because there I knew

And with two they flew Is spread every person, every place
My heart wildly beat And that they’ll accept the Lord
What would you do? And let them come to church with a good pace

Holy . . . Holy . . . Holy Our souls shine through

Is the Lord Almighty So we can impact
The whole earth is full All the non-believers
Of His wonderful glory Lord, You know that’s a fact

Calling out in adoration Lord, I pray for my family

At each other To see the light
To the Lord in exaltation They are so loving and caring
To God the Father Like You they shine so bright

From God’s spokesman Lord, I pray for my Christian family

At their voices sound For those with doubt

Isaiah’s Cry
Then after three long days
I eagerly learned On my knee
I’m here for a reason Before I pray
So there’s no need for concern The holy Lord I see
In my own way
I walk to the doctors’ office
My stomach feeling inside out I thank the Father
He handed me the results I thank the Son
I read as it twisted further into a knot I thank the Spirit
And the unity all in one
Everything was quiet
Everything was still Holy . . . Holy . . . Holy
As I silently read Is the Lord Almighty
I felt almost ill The whole earth is full
Of His wonderful glory
The bad news filled me
And my family knew The Lord of holies
That the results were positive On a throne, He’s seated
The room went silent and blue Everything He sees
High and exalted
Then it came to me

My Shooting Star Shawne Tatlow
As I look at the clear midnight sky The following poems are dedicated to Shawne
I see a small radiant shining star Tatlow. My sweet and loving mother. Who died of
Quickly soaring . . . far up high Huntington’s Chorea when I was eight. Actually
I wanted to touch it, but it was to far nurses overdosed her where she was staying.

Shooting stars fall rarely ever The second night after her death. She came to me
I wish there were more of these magical beams in a deep vision…releasing me, from tears of
Everyone watches them, will they stop . . . never sorrow to tears of happiness…seeing her there in
A passion filled star on fire or so it seems heaven and in bliss!

Yet why do beautiful things such as these

Have to be hundreds of miles away
It’s like God wanted something to tease
Maybe this is just His way

My Angel When it’s near the end of this life
I’ll probably wander some more
My angel came to me Wander back where I first wondered
Wander back where I first wandered
In the brightest beam Wonder back to see
How those little ones have grown
Beautiful was she Wander to old friend or lover
To bring flowers to their burial
Shining in a dream
Wander till I can wander no more . . .

Seeming like a telepath mime

I asked if I could stay

Shook her head, no not your time

Then wiped my teardrops away

Wander back to see

What those little ones grew up to be
To see their little girls and boys
Then wonder once more

Wander in . . . wander out

That’s what life’s been all about
Town to town
Place to place
Fast as sound
Just in a race

Pg. 137 Pg. 136

The Wanderer My Heart Is Free

Wander in . . . wander out About ten years ago

That’s what life’s been all about She ascended to the sky
Town to town A lot of people felt sorrow
Place to place For my mother did die
Fast as sound
Just in a race A day after . . . feeling low
Asked the Lord why
Leaving little girls and boys I surely didn’t know
Say goodbye to all the noise Wish I got to say goodbye
Leaving best friends and sweet lovers
Thinking about it just makes me suffer That eve when I fell asleep
Everything went all white
I wonder what will I do in time And I was sleeping deep
I’ll probably wander some more Then I saw this great light
Wander back where I first wondered
Wander back where I first wandered I saw her there

And then we spoke Standing in the heavenly light

Floating on air Felt warmth, love for all from all
Later I awoke Could hardly believe such a glorious sight

Maybe it was just a dream Talking with a translucent spirit

At least now I never cry Telepathically we shared with one another
When I saw her in that bright beam I read all its answers so quickly
I finally got to say goodbye I had many questions about my mother

It informed me not to worry

I’d be with my mom someday
She’s with the Lord now
And through Him is the only way

One Dream Life is but a shadow
From God’s holy love
I had a little taste of heaven Shining so very bright
The holy, bright shining city Through the heavens above
In a wonderful dream
With peace and tranquility Life is but a dream
A vivid vision
One day after my mother’s death Are souls sparkling
At the age of eight With more beauty then the sun
Some ancient soul came to me
In my depression and worried state

I could see with my soul

I could see many of a blinding beam
I could see many bright whites
In my beautiful dream

Coming from everywhere

Life is but a scheme After our discussion
Gods’ own design I asked if I could stay
So thoughtful am I No . . . it’s not your time
For us in that outline I felt I was home and didn’t want to go away

Life is but a mirror As we were floating

You get what you put in In the bright radiant sky
Such a magical marvel She asked me to go on a walk
This breath of creation I agreed, boy did we fly

Life is but a reflection I felt I was moving

Realizing I feel awake Faster then the speed of light
My attitude ever spreading Standing being transported so fast
Like a ripple on the lake What a rush and so bright

Life is but a plan Then we stopped

Of the King Of Kings And it showed me a book

Four inch by eight Full of canyons and peaks

One of a kind whole Inside out

She’s unforgettable And all about
One of a kind soul
Hiding my pain
Miss Undeniable All alone
Orbiting my mind Bent and broken
Miss Undeniable Every bone
Sweetly so kind
I crawl back
Into my shell
I try to hide
Feeling all alone
Low self-esteem
Cause life is long
Hiding in my mask
What is wrong

Denied Again God Is The One
I am twenty-two As the river flows
Wearing a frown As the sweet breeze blows
Licking my wounds God is the one
From being so down Who understands and knows
I feel hurt As the heavenly bells ring
Bleeding here As the morning birds sing
By myself God is the one
Living my fear Who takes us under His wing
For love is just a razor As the clouds fill the sky
Cutting out the heart As air rises them high
TIME . . . TIME . . .
in search of my soul! in search of my soul!

by John Tatlow by John Tatlow

God is the one Who shows your spirit the true finds
Who has such a watchful eye
As a shadow runs from light
As the dancer prances As holiness shines so bright
As the worshiper dances God is the one
God is the one Who we pray to each night
Who gives us lifes chances
As the children play
As the Christians pray
God is the one
Who molds us like clay
As the minds grow
As the souls show
God is the one
Who everything we owe

About how much time we have
In heaven one day
Before it’s time to go away
Past the clouds
Time quickly passes by Past the sky

Wishing upon a star tonight Shines brightly each ray
I wish I may I wish I might
Be like a comet Sometimes our storms
And fly out of sight Are tears of rain
Sometimes our showers
Flying with the stars Are lessons with pain
And it would be all right
Hanging with the team Sometimes we are in valleys
And it would be all right Or a confusing canyon
Sometimes we are at peaks
Yeah . . . Living my dream Higher then a mountain

Pg. 61 Pg. 62
Sometimes Miss Happy face

Sometimes we blindly walk Here she comes

And we wonder why With her secret smile
Sometimes we sinlessly float And I’m filled with joy
Higher then the sky For her I’d swim the Nile
Wanted to talk
Sometimes our road But she was in a rush
Rough as time may be It’s too bad
Sometimes our path I think I have a little crush
Is paved so perfectly

Silently sinks away You fill my life with pleasure

Take advantage of happiness I’m sly as a fox
Yeah, that’s a fact
But it hurts
A heaven on Earth Standing still
I was so kind Not doing anything
Took it for granted Can’t wait or I’ll get ill
How could I be so blind

Starting to go downhill Missing more of my goals
And I get worried My love with the Lord
Nights are silent and still And saving the lost souls

Time running it drew its last card In a cage
It turned and threw Him like a toy A bruised bird
Filled with rage
But the cowboy endured and made the ride

Helps her yet Feeling like she’s the only one

She’s a grandmother Dwelling on what

Of emotion She could have seen
Hides her smile Dwelling on what
To herself alone She could have been

She’s a grandmother From the roots

Of mine I can see
Sorry everyone, she’s better then And I’m proud to say
Any other kind She is a part of me

I was on the move again. When you go to heaven
And see the rippling you’ve done
But don’t get me wrong . . . You’ll be surprised of your accomplishments
I love seeing new cites, meeting new friends And how as a Christian you have shone
And staying with my Uncle and Aunt.
They were a big impact on my life . . .
I spent five great years with them!

The Ripple Underneath My Smile
A strong force Do you realize
Hits the sea This mess
The impact so strong Underneath my skin
And it came to me
Alone . . . I’m hibernating
You are laughing with me
Good will works in ripples
Even the slightest smile My life . . . I’m taking
Effects each person, then goes round You are laughing with me
Making people joyous all the while
Slowly . . . I’m sinking
You can affect people You are laughing with me
TIME . . . TIME . . .
in search of my soul! in search of my soul!

by John Tatlow by John Tatlow

Sleeping all day

Do you realize And hibernation
I’m living a nightmare
All the while And today I awaken
To dreams coming true
In the darkness . . . I’m hiding Prayers being answered
You are laughing with me Love shining through
Inside . . . I’m burning
To a lovely place
You are laughing with me
All around
I hate this feeling A wonderful life
You are laughing with me I have found

I need to fly away . . .

I have given up . . .
No reason to stay . . . Pg. 76
Pg. 75 Flesh
Awaken
I am not perfect
Living a nightmare I am not fat
Of isolation I am not skinny
Wasting my days Nor am I average
One by one
I am not tall
Lost in a world I am not short
Of harmful fate Nor am I average
Thinking life
Is a cruel fate I am not ugly
I am not great looking
Living a life Nor am I average
Of degradation
TIME . . . TIME . . .
in search of my soul! in search of my soul!

by John Tatlow by John Tatlow

I am not weak
I am not built Glass mirror
Nor am I average I have found a way
To swim in the peace
I am what I am While in tranquillity I lay
The flesh and the bone Glass mirror
But my spirit makes me whole I am one with everyone
Without it I would be lifeless like stone Love is now a strength
Comparison to this is none
Accepting are bodies
Is what we have to do Glass mirror
They let us communicate I don’t need you anymore
And transport us too Knowing you has been fun
It’s time I left you and just soar

Pg. 85 Pg. 84
Glass Mirror Soul
Glass mirror These poems are written about
I do whatever I can the one thing that makes me . . .me!
But I guess I don’t realize My soul that makes me whole.
It’s what inside that’s broken A lot of people do not believe in God and souls
Glass mirror and I feel for them those Unconscious Souls.
Whenever I go out I wish they would just Open Their Eyes
I come back to you and realize what there is at risk!
Before I go about
Glass mirror
I have come to be one
With my body, spirit and soul
Realized I can shine like the sun
TIME . . . TIME . . .
in search of my soul! in search of my soul!

by John Tatlow by John Tatlow

Further being inter-wound

God created us in His image

And soon you’ll realize
To supervise and take care
You will learn no one truly dies

It’s time you open your eyes

The risk is your soul
And without it
You will never be whole

Pg. 77 Pg. 78
Open Your Eyes Want To Show Your Soul
It’s time to get the picture How are we gonna do it
Yes to the boy or to the girl How are we gonna be
It’s time to hear the spirit Find some lost souls
Yes to be one with the world And make the blind see

One with everything A soul is often hidden

One with everyone But everything can be found
Love flowing everywhere Underneath the ego
Stronger then the sun Is where it’s being bound

Each and every creation Don’t try to impress

Fast they go around Want to show your soul
In there own life cycles Just act yourself
TIME . . . TIME . . .
in search of my soul! in search of my soul!

by John Tatlow by John Tatlow

Show your true whole And everyone lived in bliss

Live your life When my time has come

From day to day When my time has passed
Life will be better I hope to be remembered as a Christian
And for you I pray Because I know life will go fast

Thank you, my friend Jesus

Thank you, my friend Lord
Accepting You . . . in my heart
My soul can finally soar

Pg. 83 Pg.82
Wouldn’t It Be Wonderful Unconscious Souls
Wouldn’t it be wonderful Unconscious souls
Wouldn’t it be grand I see many a day
If Christians stood up everywhere Who haven’t been awaken
And took a stand Many . . . too many I say

Then we’d really see They don’t understand

Then we’d really know They don’t see
Hands high to the sky They don’t know of a heaven
Crusading to recruit a new soul The spiritual bliss and eternity

Unconscious souls
Sometimes when I dream
They are all around
Sometimes when I wish
I pray for them
That heaven and earth were one
TIME . . . TIME . . .
in search of my soul! in search of my soul!

by John Tatlow by John Tatlow

Lost . . . may they be found Now . . . I understand

Now . . . with new eyes I see
Why don’t you understand Now . . . I accepted God
Why don’t you see The Lord, He shines through me
Why don’t you realize
You need a key Unconscious souls
Oh, where have you been
Unconscious souls God’s with you . . . waiting
Yeah . . . I’m talking to you Wanting to cleanse your sin
Accepting the Lord
Is all you have to do I know He’s always there
I know He’ll always be
Then you’ll feel His comfort
I know He’s there right now
Then you’ll see what the fuss is about
Watching and listening to me
Then you’ll understand the undescribable
Brightly you’ll shine and smile without doubt
Pg. 80
Pg. 79
Unconscious souls
Unconscious souls
I hope you wake someday
Doesn’t help ignoring me
And heavens angels will rejoice
Won’t you listen to my story
For you my friend I’ll pray
Then I’ll just let you be
The reason I sung this song
Please heed my words as a warning
The reason I wrote this poem
Please read my words as a sign
The reason I told this truth
Please the offer doesn’t expire
I want to see you journey home
If you have to . . . take your time

Unconscious souls
Yeah . . . I used to be one
I have embraced the Lord
With help of another Christian
TIME . . . TIME . . .
in search of my soul! in search of my soul!
