North Queens United Group endorsed Former NYC Councilman David Weprin for NYS
Assembly. At a 1:00 p.m., Sunday, January 31, 2010 news conference outside Vaccaro Trattoria
88-02 Little Neck Parkway, Bellerose/ Floral Park, Queens border, the Democratic nominee for
Assembly from the 24th A.D. was supported by this group of community-minded businesspeople
and professionals who live and/ or work in northeast Queens and who endorsed City Councilman
Dan Halloran in the November 2009 election.

“As the the Democratic-Working Families-Independent nominee for Assembly from the
24th A.D.,” stated former Councilman Weprin. “I am pleased to accept the endorsement of the
North Queens United Group. The support from this group of community-minded businesspeople
and professionals who live and/ or work in northeast Queens and who endorsed City Councilman
Dan Halloran in the November 2009 election further demonstrates the broad range of support for
my candidacy. I want to particularly thank North Queens United's chair, Peter Zuccarello, and its
executive secretary Mario D'Elia, for their confidence in me.”

“As many know, I am proud to have earned the support of caring people who put their

Peter Zuccarello stated, “On behalf of the North Queens United Group, we are here today
to announce the endorsement of David Weprin for the New York State Assembly seat in the 24th
District.

“Our Interim Executive Board consisting of Sal Bacarella, Gary Bonelli, Philip Zerillo
and Mario D'Elia interviewed both candidates and while the 24th District is fortunate to have two
highly qualified candidates, all members of North Queens United Group had a difficult decision
on who to choose, but feel that David Weprin's governmental experience and history of
community service make him the best candidate for the Assembly.

“The North Queen United Group doesn't choose candidates based on party affiliation, but
rather make decision by due diligence and evaluations of the individual and for that reason we
are here with David Weprin.

“The North Queen United Group looks forward to working with him to make our
communities even stronger. Thank you.”
