Course Design

1. SYNOPSIS :

a. For organisations, the future would be marked with intense competition


warranting innovative products or services, effective quality management
and cost efficiencies. Shorter product life cycles will demand quicker
response to changes in the market place. In other words only expert
organisations would have a high rate of survival in the future. An
organisation’s expertise will be driven by the competencies of its
members. Hence, it is important for an organisation as well as for its
members to establish competency assessment and competency
development process.

b. Competency Model is a global HR tool integrated with dimensions of


people excellence and is practiced in countries like the US, Mexico,
Brazil, Canada, Europe and Asia.

c. Competencies create a consistent set of HR tools for defining job profiles,


career ladders, recruitment, succession planning, performance
management and personal development.

d. The knowledge and practice of Competencies benefit Executives and


Managers in all functions by helping them to enhance their role
effectiveness and thereby contribute to the success of their organisations.

5. FACULTY PROFILE

PROFILE OF MR. M.R. CHANDRAMOWLY

Mr. M. R. Chandramowly is a Graduate in Science & a Masters Degree holder


in Literature. He has acquired Post Graduation Diploma in Personnel Mgt. &
Industrial Relations. He has been awarded the Sahitya Rathna from Kannada
Sahitya Parishat and Gamaka Rathna from Sahitya Parishat. He has around 25
years of professional working experience.

He has designed variety of training programs and a trainer in Behavioural aspects


like Time Management, Stress Management, 7 Habits Model, Value Based
Competencies, Managing Performance, 360 Degree Feedback systems, Compenty
based interviewing skills etc. He has facilitated HR programs for companies like
M/s. L&T, TCE, Grindwell Norton, Elechem Group of Companies, Bannari
Amman Sugars Ltd., TECSOK & Dharma Computers.

He is a teaching faculty for MBA & BBM. He is a life member of HRD Network
and has published research articles. Has worked in television and developed
write-ups on topics of behavioural science.

Mr. Chandramowly is presently working for Praxair Group in India as Vice-


President, Corporate Human Resources

6. FEES :

Rs. 5000 for nomination of one person


Rs. 4500 for nomination of two persons
Rs. 4000 for nomination of three persons and above.

The fee will include the cost of course material and related hotel expenses.
