The new proyect about creating Jb

hoodies and t-shirts was discussed
and people were divided into 3
planning groups, each will deal with a
different aspect of the project in order
to assure it being successful. The NJRs
will act as supervisors and each week
we will ask for updates on the process.
Budget was presented to the board
and a plan of action was introduced in
order to raise our funds before we
reach the stage of community service
projects

meeting

We discussed the amount of people

who have registered for the program
and also he addressed our way of
approaching the potential participants
through social media. A idea of a
campaign was proposed and we
agreed to start it as soon we finish the
info-pack, which will be done in
approximately two weeks

24-Jan-15

Introducing
Step-Ups to
the Jb

We planned a whole day of activites to

introduce the Jb to the step-ups and
seminar participants who attended
this weeks CISV trainings. It was a
successfull experience with 10 people
asking to join our facebook and
whatsapp group when the training
ended. We will do more trainings as
this to try to attract more people to
the Andinos Workshop.

for a new NJR to be elected and finally
we agreed on the dates when the
workshop will take place. The meeting
was successful and very time
effective, the hosting form still needs
much improvement but we still have
time before we absolutely need to
send it.

We planned several content activities,
finished arraging everything for the
arrival and departure of participants,
agreed on a topic and almost finished
the second and final info-pack. The
subject that took the most time was
create a final and detail budget to
submit to the Americas Junior Branch
Team in order to get funding for
different materials needed for the
workshop.

Pre-Andinos
Workshop

This was our first weekend activity

which involved many more factors to
be taken into consideration such as:
transport, notify parents, money
needed, list of things needed by
participants, food for two days, etc.
The weekend involved a total of 6
activities which were both based on
discussion and on personal evaluation.
At the end we considered it a success
because although we only had a total
of 14 jbrs arrive 10 out of these
registered for the andinos workshop
which is a success.

Parents
meeting

The point of this meeting was to

clarify any doubts and concerns from
the parents of the participants
attending the andinos and also to
present the staff which will be in the
workshop. Both of these objectives
were accomplished but sadly we only

3 hours

had a turnout of 7 parents even after

having notify them about the meeting
2 weeks before and reminded them
one week ago. Finally, we also
managed to complete the amount of
host families needed which is a great
relief being so close to the workshop
28/4/2015

First day of
Andinos

13 hours
The day started with a registration
process each participant needed to go
through. Whilst the participants were
waiting, either after or before
registering, the staff that were not a
part of collecting forms and money
planned activities and short icebreaker games for the participants to
do.
Later after lunch we gave an official
introduction to the whole workshop
and explain the dynamics of how
everything was going to work. The
activities done afterwards were
focused on motivation and on
teaching knowledge about the
structure of the Jb, but all of these
activities took into account creating
active and engaging situations for the
participants.
The last part of the day is focused on
Zoom out, which are little focus
groups which give the staff feedback
on how everything is going and if they
have any complaints, which were a
success because all participants felt
that the workshop had a great first
day and they are all excited about
whats next to come.
At night we had a staff meeting and
prepared everything for the next day
aswell as shared the feedback
obtained from the Zoom outs groups.
Little changes were made to our
working process such as adding the
role of a media person in order to
take pictures and media of all the

activities we make

Seconday of
Andinos

16
The second day we started at 8 AM
and had breakfast and activities
officially started at 9:30. Today was
focused on motivation, sharing best
practice, and starting to plan our
regional projects but only go as far as
brainstorming and idea discussion
before going into further detail.
Participants managed to come up with
a total of 7 solid project ideas but they
will be further discussed tomorrow
and the number will for sure will be
decreased. We also had our first
parallel sessions but this cause some
dislikement from the participants
groups because some participants
most participants wanted to attend
both of the sessions.
In Zoom out the parallel session were
discussed and we agreed that after
the parallel session there will be a
general 10 minute meeting were both
session will share what they learned.
Apart from that participants were also
exited about the Chiva and tour we
arranged for them in order to visit the
city.
In the staff meeting we talked about
the entire day and agreed that overall
it was a major success. Participants
are really enjoying the workshop and
the chiva and tour were controlled
very effectively and there was no
consumption of alcohol.

30/4/2015

Third day of
Andinos

16
Today was focused more on the theme
of the year which is conflict and
resolution. We had two Jiraffa Project
sessions which deal with this theme
and managed to get some very
interesting debates from the

participants groups. We also finished

planning and arranging our regional
projects, which were reduced to four
solid projects and each project is set
with a set of deadlines to assure their
success.
Finally we also made a simulation
activity about the new proposal which
will be discussed in AJBM about
changing the organizational structure
and objectives of the Jb. The activity
was a success and we obtained some
very valuable feedback.
During Zoomout the participants felt
the workshop was a completly success
and all of them felt a lot more
prepared than before entering camp.
As a staff group we also shared this
thought and we are very pleased with
the personal growth of our group of
participants.
We arranged host families and
transport for tomorrow and we made a
closing activity with all the camp.

Today was just focused on evaluating
the entire camp. The participants were
given plenty of time to fill certain
evaluation forms and we will review
them after we comeback from the
AJBM meeting.
4
Since not all the countries had arrived
yet we only managed to complete our
registration and have a group session
to just get to know each other and
learn about the topics which we will
discuss.
Today we focused on learning about
the different Jbs of the region and
discuss our mutual and individual
strengths and weaknesses. Most of
the activities I had already done with

13

my Jb but still it was very interesting

to do them with a more diverse set of
people.

Date

Today was focused on discussing the
new proposals such as Pathways
there was a long and intersing debate
which lasted for about four hours and
in the middle of the debate the
national board representatives of each
CISV country joined us and as a group
we managed to discuss it in a general
way but no resolution was achieved.
The entire day as an amazing
experience not only due to the role I
managed to play in the debate but
also for the opportunity to meet the
NA representatives from most
countries and discuss with them the
proposals.

Today was focused on regional projects

and to address the theme of the year in a
more global matter. I am part of the
project which will create a questionnaire
and a activity to discuss the new
Pathways proposal. This project was
several steps to it but the goal of it is to
take the feedback obtained from JBs all
over the world to the global conference
happening this August at Norway.
We continued the project planning, the
voting was doen to elect the new

AJBteam members and we also decided

on the leas sons of each jb. Finally we
had some more time to talk to other JBs
about different chapter development
projects. At night we left for Quito and
came back home at 10PM

We introduced the new JB goals for the next

three months and gave a brief explination
about what each activity is going to be
about. We also discussed how the training
will be structured and how we are going to
decide on which participants travel or not

CISV Directive
Board

We talked about any updates on invitations

for possible camps and also about the
amount of leaders we still need in order to
be able to sent all the delegations. This
involved addressing the problem of how our
social media campaing is going and some
plans were proposed. The first one to take
action is school meetings in colegio
Americano and Menos starting next week.

CISV Directive
Board

We talked about the people who will attend

the meetings and seminars at mexico this
year. A delegation was form and the rest of
the time we were given several forms and
information about the goals we want to
achieve as a country and out overall
positions towards certain aspects. Also we
revised the code of conduct which we must
follow during the meeting.

CISV Directive
Board

We talked about improving the

effectiveness of our weekly trainings aswell
as dicussed the possibility of arranging a
new interchange program with Germany.
We discussed the different aspects we must

arrange before proposing the idea to the

international office and our deadline to do
this is a total of 14 days before the
applications are closed.

provide the hoodies given to CISV and in
turn gain some profit out of the process.

We discussed which Junior chancellors will
be sent of and also decided on which
leaders will travel abroad and with whom.
