Radio Frequency/ Optimization.

Responsabilities:

Work on RF engineering projects, with flexibility for location

Work on RF engineering projects, with flexibility on work hours and days

Seek to gain a good knowledge of the mobile radio propagation aspects and
prediction models

Seek to gain a good knowledge of all existing wireless networks, and

particularly a comprehensive knowledge on system specifications of
UMTS/CDMA and one other technology from CDMA/EVDO, UMTS/HSPA,
WiMax, LTE and GSM

Perform RF engineering related technical analysis

Support project staffs in the field, including personnel from Huawei, clients and
contractors

Input to the tool and database the RF related data and ensure data are updated

Provide logistics support for RF engineering function

Setting up drive test equipment and calibrating RF test equipment

Drive testing for CW and modulated RF signal measurement

Analysis of the field collected data, generating the required documentation and
reports

Perform propagation model tuning

Assess and procure RF planning databases; topography, morphology and

demography

Assessment of RF planning tools

Carry out area and site surveys

Assess link budgets and design criteria

Perform system dimensioning tasks, including traffic analysis as required

Perform RF planning related GIS work as required

Analyze RF equipment specifications

Perform RF network design, planning and optimization activities as required

Perform Frequency planning and interference analysis

Generate site search area maps

Perform site candidate evaluation

Participate in site technical visits to identify RF equipment locations and antenna

orientation

Setting BTS parameters

Analyze network performance data

Verify RF related site engineering drawings

Perform site build verification and acceptance

Generate RF engineering related reports as required

produce appropriate documentation on work status and activities

Read and ensure full understanding of the contract RF engineering scope of

work

Seek training and participate in relevant training courses for technical

knowledge and professional development

Help to develop training materials

Train RF engineers and staff from other functions as required

Prepare materials and present at design reviews as required

Determine customer satisfaction with Huawei and communicate to the relevant

Huawei personnel

Assume the RF lead role, manage and co-ordinate activities of the RF team in as
required

Communicate RF team budget, milestones and deliverables to project

management and implement plans to accomplish the milestones within budget,
as required

Perform RF engineers performance reviews as required

Play an active role in recruitment of RF engineering staff

Be a mentor to other engineering colleagues as required

Help to define processes and procedures for RF engineering tasks

Represent Huawei to clients, and seize on further opportunities through effective

communications to the relevant Huawei personnel
