LUCARNA
Tu eti ce care-a vrut lucarna, nu i eu
Cioplind la asortate grinzi de pin American.
Cci mi plcea s fie jos nchis,
Efectul claustrofob, de cuib-n-pod,
Senzaia de fum i uscciune,
Perfectul trunchi-copac de vechi tavan.
i dedesubt lucarna, tietura,
Geamuri albastre in ca paiele cldura.
Dar cnd acele geamuri s-au deschis
Extravagant, cerul intrnd ca o surpriz,
Zile ntregimi s-a prut c sunt
n casa unde, prin acoperi, ologul
Fu vindecat, pcatele iertate,
i a pornit umblnd cu patu-n spate.

INTERMEZZO
grdin, s prind o vrbiu. S-a gndit s o prind i s o
mnnce.
furnici. Asculta cu atenie cum vorbeau n tain cele dou
vrbiue.
Vznd c una dintre vrbiue nu era atent, pisica a
profitat, a prins-o i a mncat-o.
Auzind
vorbele vrbiuei, pisica s-a retras., a lsat vrbiua s
zboare spre cer.

ACORN KERNEL
I step into the woods suffocating myself,
And I keep silence in front of the green woods.
Each tree seems like a leaf,
And each leaf like an acorn core.
On the ground covered by shadows
One can see small lichens spots,
A funny insect eating from a leaf.
The forest seems so big to me!...
A green vastness which stirs my soul
The trees are the tress of hair which covers
Cosnzeanas body.
I see Eminescu near the lake,
His eyes covered by a veil
It is the veil of the ages sunk into oblivion
Which dims in front of the dead tree.
SMBURE DE GHIND
Pdure cu sufletul nbuit
M-ncearc tcerea codrului verde.
Fiecare copac mi pare o frunz,
Fiecare frunz un smbure de ghind.
Pe pmntul acoperit de umbre
Se zresc pete mici de licheni,
O nrvae gz mnnc o frunz.
Ce mare mi se pare pdurea!...
O imensitate verde mi tulbur fiina,
Copacii sunt fire de pr ce acoper
trupul Cosnzenei.
l vd pe Eminescu aproape de lac,
Acoperit pe ochi cu o nfram,
E pnza de pianjen a vremurilor
Ce tac n faa copacului sugrumat.

THE BRIDGE
The bridge allows the boat gliding along the water
Among petals fallen in time,
On both sides of the fence
Crossed arms strive for freedom
I try to accept the passing of time
with the childs joy in the park.
The bridge pulls its hump out of the water
like a camel bridled by an emir!
I touch that hump full of circles,
Concrete ribs which stick to the retina,
The travellers quick steps vanish the thoughts
of the man in his attempt of running away.
The light colour covers the shyness
Of the bone cover...,
The bridge allows the boat gliding.

PODUL
Podul las s-alunece barca
Printre petale czute-n timp,
De-o parte a gardului
Mini ncruciate caut libertatea.
ncerc s respir trecerea timpului
Cu bucuria copilului venit n parc.
Podul scoate cocoaa din ap,
Cmil strunit demir!
Pipi cocoaa cu cearcne multe,
Nervuri de beton se-nfig n retin,
Pai repezi de cltor topesc gndul
Omului care ncearc s fug.
Lumina culorii acoper ndrzneala
nveliului cu scoar de os,
Podul las s-alunece barca.

I CAN NOT!
The rocks burnt by a strange sun
Reveal dark circles of astral dust
I walk overwhelmed by the curiosity
Of the human arrived on Planet Mars.
The craters filled by volcanic lava
Seem like clay vessels, painted in ochre.
The ancestral trephination allows the plain
plateau to be seem
I feel lonely on a planet
which is only in my imagination.
Shall I deny the alliens existence?! I can not!
We, the humans, are aliens too,
We are from Venus, from Saturn,
People of the third millenium.
We have the right to conquer the Universe.
Near me, the cat is fondling itself to my leg
Trapped in the living-room
The same we are trapped in this universe
of knowledge and reason. And still!...
The man feels the power of living on other planets
Why not on Mars?!...
12
Trepanaia ancestral deschide privirii
Podiul prsit de via.
M simt singur pe planeta inut
n palm de imaginaia mea.
S-i neg pe marieni? Nu pot!
Pmntenii sunt marieni,
Sun venusieni, sunt saturnieni,
Sunt oamenii mileniului trei.
Avem dreptul s cucerim universul astral.
Lng piciorul meu, pisica se joac discret,
Este nchis n sufragerie
Aa suntem noi nchii n universul
Cunoaterii prin raiune. i totui!

DRUMUL COPILRIEI
Rceala ochilor revars imaginea drumului copilriei mele.
Tulburau tcerea satului patriarhal.
Cu prul bucle, cu mingea n mn, m vd astzi
Pe drumul copilriei mele. Ce pcat! Asfaltul a alungat
Imaginea bieelului suprat pe natur.
Automobilele alearg pe drumul copilriei mele.
Praful de pe banca prsit a disprut.
Numai urmele mamei

Rceala ochilor revars imaginea drumului copilriei mele.

BLOCURILE GEMENE
Blocurile gemene din New York
susineau Statuia Libertii,
Libertatea unei metropole frmntat de vise atomice.
Strluceau n soare ca dou lumnri
Aprinse la mormntul eternitii pierdute.
Negri, albi, galbeni circulau grbii
Pe culoarele morii nevzut.
Computerele erau neputincioase
Sticl! Mult sticl! Totul strlucea
Sub povara imprevizibilului septembrie.
Un pom mbria o floare, Un om privea
Amenintor obinuitul computer, Un copil
ngropau imaginea omului liber.

CEDAR LEAVES
Cedar leaves were falling behind Paul John II.
The synagogue in Rome received its brother
An inner revolt moved the great stone
In the yard of the holy place.
The chidar covered the wrinkled forehead of Great Rabbi,
Holding the Thora above the eternal fortress
The brothers were embracing after two thousand years
of martyric seekings.
The catapetasma does not fall apart,
The earth does not shake itself,
I was the only one witnessing the worthy miracle.
The passionate charity sisters crowded to see the Pope
For one single day Tabor Mountain was like a rock
Moses and Ilijah were talking to Jesus. The angels
drove away the deep sleep of the history,
The synagogue in Rome received Jesus.
The cedar leaves were a sign of love.
18
Sinagoga din Roma i primea fratele.
O rzvrtire luntric mica piatra cea mare
Din curtea locaului sfnt.
Chidarul acoperea fruntea brzdat a Marelui Rabin,
inea Tora deasupra Cetii eterne.
Numai eu priveam vrednica minune.
Smeritele surori se mbulzeau s vad Papa,
Muntele Tabor poposea pe-o stnc,
Moise i Ilie vorbeau cu Iisus. Somnul greu al istoriei
Era alungat de ngeri,
Sinagoga din Roma primea pe Iisus.
Frunzele de cedru i revrsau iubirea.

Candela de veghe stins-n gnd,

Tulburat, prefcut-n adiere de vnd.
Stejari unii de-o cherestea banal,
Popas inundat, lumin sepulclar,
Ochi rvit de inocen,
Turt frmntat de poala unei babe.
Gndul rbdtor provoac furnica
Pmntul meu,
Muzica copilriei mele.

APA ANIMA
Izvorul znelor mbrcat n dale de piatr,
Apa anima curge-n coaja arborelui prsit,
Nestemate clipe ating buzele nsetate.
Aria mileniului trei a secat izvoarele
ntunericul criptei arborelui prsit,
Noaptea deertului atins de nemurire.

OCHII LUMINII
Salcea pletoas nfigea crengile n apa dulce,
Zeci de sulie rneau pntecele rului,
Ancora brbiei sfida clipocitul petilor
Ameii de lumin,
Malul nisipos ngropa picioarele ndrznee
Ale copilului pescar.
Harpoane imense aruncau din corabie,
Luciul apei dulci tulbura ntoarcerea anilor,
Minile tremurnde atingeau petele prefcut nger.
Ct bucurie pentru copilul pescar!
Apa dulce spla ochii luminii,
Viaa unui pete aruncat pe mal.

THE EGG
The pasture bore the signs left by the war
Deep hallows reminded of the trenches digged quickly,
Tufts of dead grass suppress
the breathing of May insects,
The fire lighted by the children seemed a huge snowman.
The flames covered the traces made by invisible hands,
The egg was broil on the embers of beech wood,
The children were starving
Small fire sparks brought present close to past.
The crowded city could be seen over the river,
In the village one could hear the peasants shouts,
tired of working,
Only the children touched carefully the egg
The original egg!... Which allowed the freedom of mortals
to spring out.
26
OUL
Poiana purta semnele rzboiului,
Gropi adnci aminteau de tranee
Spate-n grab,
Smocuri de iarb uscat sugrumau
Respiraia gzelor de mai,
Focul aprins de copii prea un
Imens om de zpad.
Flcrile acopereau brazdele

THE INNOCENCE
He was beheaded by a paleolithic stone
The ribs of his legs reminded of a bird of prey,
How cruel is the ancestral innocence!...
The blood was dripping on the branches ravaged by wind
The feathers were thrown on the muddy road,
The trunks with forestmen were bonking desperately.
Carried like a trophy along crowded alleys
The hawk seemed the paradise bird!...
He descended from Heaven with an olive branch,
The flood has not finished yet The people
of the third millenium
Were still living under the rainbow.
The colour of the bird reminded of the darkness
in the eyes of my fellowman
What a pity!... I wish he had lived
28
INOCENA
Decapitat cu o piatr din paleolitic
Nervurile picioarelor aminteau de-o pasre rpitoare,
Uliu prindea forma psrii miastr.
Oamenii mileniului meu
Continuau s existe mulumit curcubeului.
Culoarea psrii amintea de ntunericul din
Ochii aproapelui meu.
Ce pcat! A fi vrut s triasc.

THE FEAR
The fear of being a human suppresses
The struggle to reach Heaven.
The remains of history leave behind
The cool sight of the callous gods.
Who can resist the tentation
of the doves pure flight?
The helplessness brings the loss of the secular tree.
The queen of the fairies climbs the mountain
dressed in her laced dress,
Only the eternal groom shall suffer by himself
Helplessness overwhelms his soul.
The fear of being human melts the salt ball in the angels
hands
How hard is to accept the helplessness of my era!...
The fear of finding the truth seized the shy
heart of the people living in my century.

TEAMA
Teama de-a fi om nbue
Putina de-a ajunge la cer.
Vreascurile istoriei arunc
Privirea zeilor pietrificai.
Cine poate s reziste tentaiei
Zborului imaculat al porumbelului?
Neputina atrage refuzul arborelui secular.
Mireasa znelor urc
Muntele cu rochia-i dantelat,
Numai mirele secolelor va suferi singur,
Neputina-i va orbi sufletul.
Teama de a fi om topete bulgrele
De sare din mna ngerilor.
Ce greu este s respir neputina
veacului meu!
Teama de adevr inund inima timid

THE DARKNESS
On one side of the road can be found
the sorrow of those who had left.
Soft applause stifle the peoples glance
Ruthless shadows squeeze
Among anthills.
Fairies painted in flower trees,
The plums rush at falling down in the grass.
One can hear the roar of the hunted stag in the hallow
He is the god of the forest changed in a palace.
The ripe corn cockle is harvested by a virgins hands
The orchard seems alive
There is such a noise in the pasture!...
It is the beginning.
32
NEGURA
La margine de drum strjuiete
mhnirea celor plecai.
Aplauze surde neac privirea,
Nemiloase umbre se strecoar
Printre muuroaie de furnici.
Prinese pictate n arbori de floare
Nvlesc fructele czute-n iarb.
E zeul pdurii transformat n palat.
Neghina coapt e-n mini de fecioar,
Livada pare c s-a trezit,

THE STEPS
I have heard those steps on Europes pavement
We were celebrating the year to come.
The glasses were full with drink,
You could see Santa coming on the window,
Having Christmas toys in his bag.
Bruxelles accepts me!...
My ancestors couldnt bear the indifference of those outside!
The fire was burning.
Indefinite thoughts in a fugitives mind!
I hoped to enjoy Adams freedom,
I still hope to find it.

Paharele se sufocau de atta butur,
Fereastra privea pe Mo Crciun cum vine,
Purta n traist jucrii occidentale.

BEING INNOCENT
The Danube foreshadows the presumed decline at Vienna
The deafening noise of the waves brings inner death.
Such gloomy moments!...
A honey comb for such a long lighted on,
Confusion, tension, a humble cottage on the top.
That is how I felt myself at Vienna!...
A pillar destroyed by imaginary glory,
An amphora carried by villains,
A light torch on a river bed.
Huge cement pillars stopped the river downstream
The angel removed the doubt of the wandering son.
The Danube is the same at Vienna ,
Only the waltz has been changed!
36
NEVINOVAT
Dunrea la Viena prevestea presupusul declin,
Zgomotul surd al valurilor aducea sfierea luntric.
Clipe negre n zgazuri! Un fagure de mult aprins,
Stare de derut, ncordare, colib aruncat pe-nlimi.
Aa arta sufletul meu la Viena!...
Stlp dobort de nimburi imaginare,
Amfor purtat de netrebnici,
Tor de lumin pe fundul unui ru.
Picioare cimentate opreau fluviul n aval,
ngerul sruta ndoiala fiului fugar.
Dunrea la Viena a rmas aceeai,
Valsul s-a schimbat!

THE FUGITIVE
The fugitives tears washed the pavements
of the cool west.
My soul was weeping as I was weeping too,
The precious shop windows made me look
Like a starving dog,
I longed for freedom!
The tube passed in a high speed,
Ignoring me,
A refugee with a thousand counts of indictment.
The huge towers were so proudly cool,
The railway platform was waiting for the travellers,
The turf as soft as a bed,
I hold on, deserted by fate,
But longing for the unhoped liberty.
38
FUGAR
Lacrimile de fugar splau trotuarele
Occidentului nesimitor.
Sufletul plngea odat cu mine,
Nestematele vitrine m priveau
Turnurile nalte artau rceala triumftoare,
Peronul grii atepta vizitatori,
Gazonul era moale ca un pat,
Strngeam din dini abandonat de soart,
Simeam n suflet nesperata libertate.

OVIDS TEAR
The sap feeds the salt crystals in the salt mine,
A gobbled morsel, the poison of the miserable man.
The dark spies throwing delusive nets,

in an innocent childs mind
Hope destroyed by the murdering gun of
Genevas dictate
Ovids tear has not dried yet
The third millenium is still silent.

LE DUCH DE BRABANT
Le Duch de Brabant hided the castle
behind the eyelids wet by tears,
Overlapped battlements frightened the visitors eyes,
The duchesses precious stones reminded of the
magnificent balls from the royal court.
Where are you, duch de Brabant?...
History covered you in its white silk veil
The pallor of your face faded away in time,
That Ferrari outside pollutes the room inside
The tower that watches over you is so big!...
There, your warrior soul has been destroyed
The enemies modern army took away your freedom,
your rank!
Now you keep silence watching your grand children
playing on the computer
You have given up the heavy armour
Too heavy for an Europe at a crossroad.
42
LE DUCH DE BRABANT
Le duch de Brabant ascundea castelul
sub pleoapele umezite de lacrimi,
Creneluri suprapuse intimidau ochiul vizitatorului,

THE ABANDON
The interior of the magic palace
deceives the princess thoughts, kept in prison.
Its the passing of time faded away by the sun of
desertion caused by memory.
The caf house spoils its cup on the shoulders of

The chairs can hardly be moved,
The mistery of those moments spent in two

The one that was changed in a predator conquers
the princess palace,
trapped by her own imagination, trapped
By the diformity of my era.

THE YOKE
You, a Romanian with a yoke in your arms,
The Alps are calling you to touch the moss
on the fir trees,
to cut them with your axe
Old lichens on steep slopes,
Traces of hunted stags,
The icy north wind blows toward Paris
with its gusts of wind like a wedding veil.
A resting place on a granite top
in an Europe in a continuous search,
The brown bear destroys the little trees
driven on ancient roads.
A skier appears from the heart of the mountain
dressed as Santa Claus,
They are the Alps as old as the world itself,

THE WALL
Berlin has recovered itself after the damages

The wall spotted with blood
Fell in the tenth century.
The souls that strived for freedom
passed through the barbed wired wall.
And lots of them found that liberty in tombs,
digged in a hurry by the soldiers.
The spies sent their messages in bars owned by barons,
Europe was divided between the powers.
The clod could hear a childs voice,
Mother Europe that took our hand.

THE TRAIN
The train of those painful days reached Budapest,
The border guards in cantons were closely watching

I bounded each time the train stopped in a station,
cars were turned back from the border,
I wanted to be back in my mothers house,
the desire of a poor child.
The breakfast we used to have together, the hungarian
had the same habit of eating,
I was accompanied by a fugitive whose fate was
merciless, full of mistery.
I comforted myself in Budapest, I could taste the

A beautiful day with my mother in the train, turning

EMOTIONS
Candles put out by the rain,
In an empty night,
Life of meaningless feeling,
Late childhood.
I can read on the graves stones
the sense of death,
A childs dreams in the morning
Humble lust of searching
The long humanitys story
Started in my soul!
The blind time started its existence
the same moment I began to live.
I am nervous when I pick up flowers,
Lots of feelings betraded by that figure cured by chains.
I live consciously the childhood of my millenium.

Copilria trzie.
Citesc n criptele pmntului
ngropciunea morii,
Visele dimineii de copil,
Voluptatea umil a cutrii.
Lunga poveste a omenirii
a nceput n sufletul meu!
Timpul orb s-a deschis
Contient triesc copilria mileniului meu.

THE AMPHORA
I started on my way guided by an angel
in the light of the third millenium.
The years passed bearing memories,
Only the city tree remained green.
In amphorae carved in Western Europe
The comfort faded away,
The luck of a dream bringing a childs smile
in watching towers.
My body becomes younger in the light
of the third millenium.
The amphora is carried by an angel.
60
AMFORA
n lumina mileniului trei am pornit
La drum cu-n nger.
Anii au trecut muiai n amintire,
Numai arborele oraului a rmas verde.
n amfore cioplite-n Occident
Te-ai desprit de mine mngiere,
Norocul unui vis ce-aducea zmbet
de copil n turnuri de veghe.
n lumina mileniului trei ntinerete trupul meu.
Amfora e purtat pe brae de-un nger.

THE TEAR
The organ plays in the stars the same cruel dream for years,
Crushed ships in bad waters.
What a tiresome call! What a blithe shadow!
In water circles making noises like the waves rumble.
Pale light that rest on the mysterious cliff
My cold glance death with a broken wing.
The path is closed because of the pain,
there is so much pain in the graves,
The lost moment, the lasting Saints Body.
The tiring waves chaotically bring mud to the shore,
Its darkness in the heart of the third millenium.
62
LACRIMA
Palida lumin topete tainica stnc,
Privirea mi-e rece, moartea cu aripa frnt.
Calea e-nchis de jale, e ipt n morminte,
Clipa aruncat-n jeratic, Trupul venicului Sfnt.
Haos de valuri obosite lipesc noroiul de pmnt,
E noapte n sufletul mileniului trei.

FAIRY TALE
The garland of evening fruit burns in the Carpathians,
The candle lights the icon forgotten
by the obedient hermit.
Have you ever asked who is the fallen boarder keeper?
A stone accidently thrown away, lost dreams
In the walnuts leaves,
Always forgotten along those bitter years
Sepulchral light in the Carpathians.
64
BASM
Piatr aruncat la-ntmplare, visuri rtcite-n
frunze de nuc, clcate de veacuri amare.
Lumin sepulclar din Munii Carpai.

TRUPUL APELOR
n trupul apelor sttute triete palatul prsit,
Blestemul amgirii trecut prin valuri de vis.
Ochii grei de lut opresc mica fptur,
S-au mcinat de mult suferinele privirii.
Abia atept srutul tu, veac greu, iconoclast,
Trupul apelor s curg pe mormntul de-mprat.

THE IMAGE
The sad image of a lonely fir tree
under the wing of the clear rainbow,
Lot has been written
about Europe of my time.
The river seized by love,
Water cities with gloomy shop windows,
The infinite snow covering the Europe in my era.
I can see the clay untouched for a while,
The knell hits the country,
The heart of a soul in pain.
68
IMAGINEA
Imaginea trist de brad prsit
sub aripa clar de curcubeu,
Trecuta-i prin slove virgine
Pdurea Europei timpului meu.
Rul adormit de iubire,
Orae de ape cu sumbre vitrine,
Ninsoarea de veacuri inund Europa
timpului meu.
Vd lutul splat de tcere,
Clopotul lovete ara cu stele,
Inima unui suflet rnit.

THE SOUL
My soul detaches from my flesh,
I struggle to retain it with a word,
Being so weak and indifferent.
Each moment is the beginning of a new search
Away from you, Adonai.
Only the light of Your eyes is eternal for me,
A guide of my wandering soul.
Come and invade my soul,
So that I can forever deceive death.
70
SUFLETUL
Fuge sufletul de mine,
ncerc s-l opresc cu-n cuvnt,
Sunt slbit de atta detaare.
Fiecare clip este un nceput de cutare,
Departe de Tine, Adonai.
Numai lumina rmne etern n ochii Ti
de Stpn al sufletului meu fugar.
Coboar bucuria-n sufletul meu
S pot nvinge moartea pentru totdeauna.

ONE LIFE
My soul is weeping with bloody tears.
I can see the flesh spotted by shadows,
A continuous victory of the pain.
Only Heaven can be my salvation,
the salvation of a sad figure trapped in inner decay
The novices succeed in passing the fire trial,
a fire lighted by indifference!
The deep thoughts are far behind the ego comforted
by angels,
The most beautiful poem of the flesh
Should be for the Creator-Elohim.
I talk to Him through His Son,
With bloody tear, red as a shadow.
I could hear, see, feel the flesh in pain.
A life changed by repentance.
72
O VIA
Plnge sufletul cu lacrim de snge,
Vd carnea ptat de umbre,
Perpetuu succes al suferinei mute.
Numai Cerul m poate salva din
Pulsiunile triste al decderii luntrice
Ucenicii trec cu trie proba focului
aprins de indiferen!
Adncimea gndului lunec dincolo
de eul mngiat de ngeri,
Cel mai frumos poem al crnii
l nchin Creatorului-Elohim.
Cu El vorbesc prin Fiul,
Cu lacrim de snge, roie, cu umbre.
Auzeam, vedeam, simeam carnea
strpuns de suferin.
O via transfigurat de cin.
