How are you going to do it?

Was it a free app?
Its not going to be easy.
We arent going to eat meat for 30 days.
To be honest, its not good to eat too much meat.

Then listen to the whole audio [1.51]and take notes. Check with a partner,
then complete notes as a class on the board- get them up and writing?
M: I think this 30-day challenge idea is great. Im definitely going to try it.
D: Me, too. So, what are you going to do first?
M: Im going to walk 10,000 steps a day.
D: Good idea. So, how are you going to do it?
M: Well, when I go out to the shops, Im going to walk, not drive. Im going to take the stairs instead of
the elevator and, twice a week, Im going to walk to work, not get the bus.
D: Are you going to get one of those little things which count your steps?
M: A pedometer? Well, actually, Ive got an app on my phone that does that.
D: Was it a free app?
M: Yeah. You just put it in your pocket and it counts your steps.
D: Excellent. Well, good luck.
M: Thanks. So, what about you? Whats your first challenge?
D: Well, me and my partner are going to do a challenge together.
M: Whats that then?
D: We arent going to eat meat for 30 days.
M: Really? But you love eating meat!
D: I know, but, to be honest, its not good to eat too much meat.
M: True, I agree with that.
D: Its not going to be easy, but were going to get a vegetarian cookbook to help us. My parents are
coming for lunch on Sunday. My dads a big meat-eater so I need to cook something very tasty!
M: Well, best of luck!

Choose one of the challenges from the list, or think of your own idea.
Prepare to tell your partner about it.
What are you going to (not) do for 30 days?
Why have you chosen this?
What do you think will be most difficult about the challenge?
Will you keep doing this thing after 30 days? Why/why not?
Then tell your partner. Partner listen and ask a question at the end. Swap.
If time. Share 1-2 with the whole class.
