1. GENERAL

its subcontractors employees comply with this ERMP.
c. Once approved by the Principal, this ERMP will form part of the Contractors contract
for the Project and will be implemented by the Contractor according to its terms.

If the Contractor directly employees blue collar labour covered by the CCIWAs
Employee Relations Information for Contractors on the Roy Hill Project, the Contractor
will adopt and comply with all employment conditions/ recommendations set out in the
most current version of that booklet, including but not limited to, wage rates, rosters,
working hours, allowances, PIP, leave, R&R and superannuation.
6. CCIWA ADVICE

b. The Contractor will work only during the hours set by the Principal as the Projects
standard working hours.
c. The Contractor cannot put in place diferent roster arrangements or work outside of
normal project working hours (such as, working night shifts) unless it has the
Principals prior approval.

a. Completion of face-to-face interviews and three reference checks for all prospective
employees.
c. Upon request, copies of all test results, relevant licences and trade qualifications and
verification of competency for each employee to be provided to the Principal for
review prior to mobilisation.

g. If the Contractor needs to hire additional labour, it will recruit locally in the first
instance advertising first in the Pilbara, then WA, then nationally.
h. Where reasonably practical, the Contractor will engage indigenous employees and
suppliers.

a. Prior to commencing work on site, all blue collar/ wages personnel will be issued
and accept a letter of ofer which is approved by the CCIWA. All white collar / staf
personnel will be engaged under common law employment contracts.
b. Contractor personnel will be provided with a signed copy of their letter of ofer /
employment contract prior to commencement of employment.
c. The Contractor will keep copies of signed letters of ofer / employment contracts on
each employees personnel file.

a. Take all reasonable measures to prevent the occurrence and minimise the
continuance of any ER/IR incident on or of site.
b. Notify the Principal and the CCIWA as soon as an ER/IR incident occurs or has the
potential to occur.
c. Keep the Principal fully informed about the incident and its resolution.
d. Follow any Project ER/IR incident reporting and resolution process directed by the
Principal.
f. Have a grievance resolution procedure in place and ensure that all employees
understand and follow the procedure.
g. Consult with the Principal and CCIWA before resolving any ER/IR incident (for
example, before terminating an employee or demobilising an employee for
misbehaviour).

b. The Contractor will not allow a subcontractor to access site until the Principal has
approved that subcontractor and the subcontractor has put in place any industrial
relations arrangements considered appropriate for the Project (for example, an
employee relations management plan).

a. The Contractor is responsible for managing the behaviour of its employees and will
ensure that employees behave in an appropriate manner, treat everyone on the
Project with dignity and respect and observe and comply with the Projects
Behaviours Code.
b. The Contractor will ensure its employees are educated on and comply with the
Projects Alcohol Servic Policy and that no outside alcohol is brought onto or
consumed on site.
c. The Contractor will ensure all personnel comply with the motelling accommodation
arrangement and the Projects Accommodation Code.
d. The Contractor shall not permit the flying of flags or the display of political notices on
site.
e. The Contractor will ensure that food is only consumed in approved areas.

a. Comply with Project Right of Entry policies and procedures and attend all Right of
Entry training conducted by the CCIWA.
b. Not deal with a union which does not have a legal entitlement to represent the
Contractors work force.
c. Not make any payment for lost time due to industrial action and not make any
payments unless those payments are permitted by the Fair Work Act 2009.
e. Not permit employees to cease work because of inclement weather unless the
matter is first discussed and agreed with the Principal.

Industry Portable Paid LSL scheme.
b. The Contractor is a registered employer (and will remain a registered employer) with
a complying superannuation scheme.
c. The Contractor has an industry standard income protection insurance policy in place
for its employees, and will keep this policy current.

a. The Contractor agrees that the Principal may audit the Contractor from time to time
to assess compliance with this ERMP and will provide the Principal with access to all
relevant records, including payroll and employment records.

workers, number apprentices, working hours etc,

The Contractor will ensure compliance with the following transportation requirements
for all light vehicles, buses and mobile plant:
a. The number of passengers shall not exceed the number of licenced seats provided.
c. Vehicles and buses shall comply with the requirements laid down in the relevant road
traffic laws of Western Australia.
e. Passengers and drivers shall not have any part of their body projecting beyond the
limits of the vehicle.
f. Vehicles and buses shall be reverse parked in nominated parking areas when not in
use.
g. Vehicles and bus engines shall be turned of when not in use and/or when
unattended.
