The Defence teams appealed the Trial Chambers decision upholding the STLs jurisdiction
over the 14 February 2005 attack. The Appeals Chamber scheduled a public hearing on 1
October 2012 to hear arguments on the legality and jurisdiction of the STL. The Pre-Trial
Judge also set 15 November 2012 as the deadline for the Prosecution to submit its pre-trial
brief, which includes a summary of the evidence that the Prosecutor will bring to trial, and a
list of witnesses and exhibits another step on the road to trial in the case of Ayyash et al.

The Appeals Chamber scheduled a public hearing on 1
October 2012 to hear arguments on the jurisdiction and
legality of the STL. The scheduling order can be found on the

The defence counsel for Mustafa Badreddine, Salim Ayyash
and Hussein Oneissi have appealed the Trial Chambers
decision that upheld the Tribunals jurisdiction over the 14
February 2005 attack.
Order setting a date for filing the Prosecutions pre-trial
brief
The Pre-Trial Judge set 15 November 2012 as the deadline
for the Prosecution to submit its pre-trial brief and list of

Motion for Review of Registrars Designation of Lead Legal Representative for Victims
Two victims requested the appointment of the Lead Legal Representative to be dismissed
and proposed alternative solutions on this matter: that a separate group of victims is

recognised and separately represented; to be allowed to continue as victims but without


any legal representation, or to be withdrawn from the case as victims. More
