How to make up:
Print, laminate & cut out all the letters, Backing Sheet & CVC Word List Sort into piles as stated Backing Sheet at the back, Word List second from front Use a binder machine to cut holes on the Backing Sheet & Word List or use a hole punch if you do not have a binder machine Using a binding machine, position cards onto the plastic spine/comb. (if you do not have a binder machine, you can use stationary rings) How to use: Flip through the letters to make CVC words consonant/vowel/consonant words See how many rhyme words you can make with ending phonograms eg: ig, at, en, op, ut, Refer to the list of words you can make with this flip chart Point out that every word has a vowel At first, let your child look at the spelling of the words to copy Later, choose words to spell, eg Can you spell PIG? To help them, say things like What s the first/last sound you hear in PIG?
