<p>The Malaysian British Society (MBS) is a registered society u
nder the Malaysian Societies Act 1966. Established initially as the KL Panel of
the British Malaysian Society (BMS) to maintain links between the United Kingdom
and Malaysia, the Panel was reconfigured and registered as a Society in January
2013.
<br /><br />The MBS seeks to provide a platform for fostering li
nks between Britain and Malaysia with a focus on culture, arts, sport, education
and charity.

<h1>CONDOLENCES</h1>
<p> The sudden and tragic death of former High Commissioner to M
alaysia, Mr Simon Featherstone has shocked and saddened the Malaysia British Soc
iety. Simon was a great friend of the Society, speaking regularly at events and
providing advice and guidance during its establishment. He devoted tremendous
energy, enthusiasm and wisdom to strengthening the ties between Malaysia and B
ritain in business, in culture, in education and in sport
and relationships betw
een the two countries are probably stronger now than they have ever been. Durin
g his time with us in Malaysia he made a real impact both personally and profess
ionally and he will always be remembered for this.
Our hearts go out to his family at this most difficult of times and we hope that
the great affection, admiration and respect that we all felt for Simon may be s
ome small consolation in the difficult days ahead
