Process:
During my years freelancing for clients
across the globe, I got the chance to create
a range of vector illustrations. The projects
ranged from images containing simple
colours and shapes to portraits consisting of
complex colours, shapes, shadows, gradient
maps, etc.
Most illustrations begin with either a
personal reference photograph provided
by the client or a Creative Commons, or
copyright-free, image. Respect for other
designers, artists, photographers work and
intellectual property is an essential part of
design that must never be overlooked.

Give the Global Heat Seal brand - an

Brief:
Design a wedding and reception invitation
for the upcoming wedding of the future Mr
& Mrs Parker.
I was asked to make sure to incorporate
Forgetmenot flowers into the design as
well as multiple typefaces. The challenge
of this design came with choosing differing
typefaces that fit well enough together that
they had an aesthetically pleasing look.
I chose a number of display typefaces,
avoiding sans serif typefaces as a
decorative feel was required.

Design a set of logo concepts for a
Brentwood based sport awareness
organisation that encourages young children
to participate in sporting activities from
a young age and instill in them an active

future.
The designs incorporate a childlike
yet modern design to appeal to both
participants and parents alike and give the
new organisation a pre-existing feel.
The child illustrations help young children
see themselves partaking in activities and
achieving.

Service, a carpet and upholstery cleaning
business starting in the Blackwater Estuary
area of Essex.
The owner of the business wanted to stand
out from his competitors in the area. He
wanted a clean, modern logo devoid of any
stylised characters or tools as are often
seen in similar businesses.

The logo was designed in such a way that


the colours signified the purity of the water
that the product use produces. The water
contained within the O also signifies the
containment of the purity and shows that
the water will remain purified after it has
been filtered.

Social Security Defenders, a US based law
firm that dealt with defending clients who
had their welfare benefits wrongly ceased.

The company wanted to give their logo


a patriotic, All-American feel; giving the
impression that the company is defending
true Americans.
To achieve this feeling, I used a shield
design that almost called back a Captain
America-esque feeling. I then accentuated
this look with strong, official typeface
choices that gave some added weight to
the already strong logo icon.

Brief:

To design a simple logo for a vehicle sales


website.

CertifiedCars.com

The logo uses both a tick mark and a


strong green colour to encourage any
potential customers to
CertifiedCars.com that they are making
the correct choice by using them over any
competitors.
Among other requests, the client
requested that the logo be simple, yet
eye catching. I believe the final design
achieves both of these aims.

brand, Dermasome.

The client requested that above all else,


the brand design should give off a modern
and natural feel, making sure that above
all else the customer can see that it is a
natural product.

The simple illustration that takes the place


of the O shows off the natural, healthy
ingredients that the brand has built its
reputation on.

The Grey Room: Educational Consultants

Brief:
To design a logo for Education
Consultantcy, The Grey Room.
It was requested that the logo implied
to the viewer that that The Grey Room
was an enclosed space through which
educational professionalism occured.
The small hint of purple in the logo is
intended to show to the viewer that
although The Grey Room is a professional
space in which the clients learn to better
serve students and pupils, the courses
arent all taking notes and presentations
and fun can be key to an educational
experience.
