VACANCY LIST NO. 03 of 2014
The Nakuru County Public Service Board wishes to invite applications from candidates who
have the requisite qualifications to fill the following positions:1). PRINCIPAL ADMINISTRATION OFFICER; JG P
Terms of Service: Permanent
The officer will be the Head of Administration and will be the deputy to the Secretary, Public
Service Board.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must: a) Be a Kenyan Citizen.
b) Have a Degree in Social Sciences - Public Administration, Human Resources
Management or any other relevant degree from a recognized university in Kenya.
c) Be a Certified Public Secretary of good professional standing.
d) Be registered with the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya (ICPSK) or any
other relevant professional body.
e) Must have served in a senior relevant position at least not below Job Group N or its
equivalent for at least 5 years in the public or private sector.
For direct entry to Job Group P you must be a holder of a relevant Masters degree
and at least 10 years experience in a senior relevant position.
f) Be a professional who can demonstrate non-breach of relevant codes of conduct.
2). FINANCE OFFICER; JG N
Terms of Service: Permanent
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must: a) Be a Kenyan Citizen.
b) Have a Bachelors degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Economics or any
other relevant degree from a recognized university in Kenya.
c) Be a C.P.A (K).
d) Be registered with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).
e) Must have served in a relevant position not below Job Group M or its equivalent for at
least 3 years in the Public or Private sector.
For direct entry to Job Group N you must be a holder of a relevant Masters degree
and at least five (5) years experience in a relevant position.
f) Be a professional who can demonstrate non-breach of relevant codes of conduct.

9). RECEPTIONIST; JG H
Terms of Service: Permanent
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must: a) Be a Kenyan citizen.
b) Have at least a C- in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examination (KCSE); and
c) Have a diploma in Public Relations from a recognized institution.
d) Be computer literate.
e) Have a working experience of at least three (3) years.
f) Produce a certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya Police.
10). RECORDS MANAGEMENT OFFICER III, JG H
Terms of Service: Permanent
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must: a) Be a Kenyan citizen.
b) Have a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C Plain.
c) Have a diploma in Records/Information Management or equivalent qualifications from
a recognized institution.
d) Be computer literate.
e) Have a working experience of at least three (3) years.
f) Produce a certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya Police.
11). DRIVER III; JG D
Terms of Service: Permanent
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must: a) Be a Kenyan citizen.
b) Have a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education Mean grade D plain or its equivalent
qualification from a recognized institution.
c) Have a valid driving license free from any current endorsement(s) for class (es) of
vehicle(s) an officer is required to drive.
d) Have attended a first aid certificate course lasting not less than one (1) week at St.
Johns Ambulance or Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology -KIHBT or any
other recognized institution.
e) Have passed Practical Test for Drivers conducted by the respective
Ministry/Department.
f) Have at least two (2) years driving experience.
g) Have a valid certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya Police.
NOTE:
In addition, applicants for the above three (3) positions must;
Satisfy the requirements of Chapter six of the constitution by availing the following: a) Certificate of Good Conduct.
b) Tax compliance certificate form KRA.
c) Clearance from EACC.
d) Clearance from HELB.
e) Applicants with degrees from foreign universities should avail a recognition and
equation certificate from the Commission for University Education (CUE).
17). ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS; JG D
Terms of Service: Permanent
Requirements for appointment
For appointment to this position, a candidate must;
(i)
Be a Kenyan citizen.
(ii)
Be a holder of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education Grade D plain.
(iii)
Be aged 35 years and below.
(iv)
Meet the physical fitness test similar to that applicable to recruitment of Kenya
Police, including a fitness medical certificate.
(v)
Produce a certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya Police.
