ABSTRAK

Tujuan penelitian ini dilakukan adalah untuk menilai kondisi fungsi fisik pada
penderita rematik yang berobat ke Poliklinik Rematologi Rumah Sakit Umum Pusat
Haji Adam Malik (RSUP HAM).
Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan desain cross-sectional.
Sampel pada penelitian ini diambil dengan menggunakan teknik consecutive
sampling. Perkiraan jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini diambil berdasarkan rumus
estimasi proporsi dan diperoleh jumlah sampel sebanyak 97 orang. Hasil penelitian
ini dikategorikan menjadi tiga, yaitu fungsi fisik responden tidak terbatas, fungsi
fisik responden sedikit terbatas dan fungsi fisik responden terbatas.
Pada akhir penelitian ini, hasil yang diperoleh adalah, lebih dari separuh dari
total responden mengalami kesulitan dan keterbatasan ketika melakukan aktivitas
seperti jongkok di kamar mandi (64 orang), menaiki 5 anak tangga (64 orang),
bekerja di luar rumah (54 orang) dan menggerakkan benda yang berat (57 orang).
Ketika melakukan aktivitas seperti berdiri antri selama 15 menit (50 orang),
mengangkat benda yang berat (47 orang), dan membungkuk untuk mengambil kain
dari lantai (45 orang), kejadian kesulitan atau adanya keterbatasan adalah hampir
sama jumlahnya dengan kejadian tidak ada keterbatasan. Lebih dari satu per empat
dari total responden mengalami kesulitan dan keterbatasan ketika melakukan
aktivitas seperti membuka botol yang belum pernah dibuka (28 orang), berjalan di
luar rumah pada tanah yang datar (36 orang), menukar sprai tempat tidur (28
orang), membuka baju/ mengikat tali sepatu (22 orang), dan naik dan turun dari
tempat tidur (38 orang). Sementara, hampir semua responden tidak mengalami apaapa kesulitan ketika melakukan aktivitas seperti menyapu rumah (80 orang),
mencuci rambut (90 orang), dan mandi dan keringkan tubuh dengan handuk 87
orang).
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, didapati bahwa kondisi fungsi fisik pada pasien
RSUP HAM adalah sedang.

ABSTRACT
This research was done to assess the condition of physical function in patients
with rheumatic disease who takes treatment in Rheumatology Clinic of Haji Adam
Malik Hospital (RSUP HAM).
This research is a descriptive research done with cross-sectional design. The
sampel for this research is chosen using the consecutive sampling technique. Total
number of samples was counted using the proportion estimation formula. Hence,
the total sample needed for this research was 96 people. The results of this research
were categorised to 3 categories, which were, respondants physical function is not
limited, respondants physical function is slightly limited and respondants physical
function is limited.
At the end of this research, the results obtained were, more than half of the
total number of respondents had limitations when squatting in the toilet (64 people),
climbing up 5 steps (64 people), doing outside work (54 people) and moving heavy
object (57 people). The incident of having difficulties and being able to do without
difficulty was equal in patients in doing activities such as waiting in a line for 15
minutes (50 people), lifting heavy objects (47 people), and bending down to pick up
clothing from the ground (45 people). More than one quarter of total respondents
had limitations opening a previously unopened jar (28 people), walking outdoors
on flat ground (36 people), change the bedding (28 people), dressing
themselves/tying shoelaces (22 people) and getting in and out of bed (38 people).
Meanwhile, most respondents did not have any difficulties in doing activities such
as sweeping the floor (80 people), shampooing their hair (90 people), and washing
and drying their body (87 people).
Based on the researchs results, it is known that physical condition of patients
with rheumatic disease in RSUP HAM is moderate.
