INTRODUCTION

Askari Bank was incorporated in Pakistan on October 9, 1991, as a public

limited company. It commenced operation on April 1, 1992, and is principally
engaged in the business of banking, as defined in the Banking Companies
Ordinance, 1962. The Bank is listed on Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad Stock
Exchanges.
Since inception, the bank has concentrated on growth through improving
service quality, investment in technology and people, utilizing its extensive
branch network which includes Islamic and Agricultural banking.

Askari Bank has a widespread presence across Pakistan catering to the needs
of customers from all walks of life. We have branches in all major cities,
cantonments and smaller cities, an extensive network made up of
Conventional, Islamic as well as Agricultural Branches. At Askari Bank we aim

Its is process of commanding from high authorities of bankto their assistants. This kind
of communication gives caution to assistant to do some thing,about which command

A communication which held within the bank. It consist wholecommunication b/w
different ranks of people available inside the bank. Such acommunication can be in the

Diagonal Communication:
A communication which held b/w the two differentdepartments of bank for the
consideration of matter or for verification of any document of bank. In this
communication a employee from side is on high rank at bank and from otheremployee
is not on high rank of that department. Thus, we can say its a interaction of
twodifferent departments of banks.Thus, this is the communication method of Askari
bankwhich is applied at Askari bank. Among other communication method this UDID
method of communication is suitable to run flexible any of organization including
banks.13

& lending of money.OR It is the place of transactions of money.History
of banking: The word bank is derived from the word banco which
means bench. The Jews moneylenders of Italy used to transact their business
sitting on benches at the different markets places. According to French
experts it has beentaken from the French word Banque, while Germans said that it
had been takenfrom Back, while means Joint Stock Company. Thus, the
modern bankingsystem is totally different from old one & present banking
system is muchefficient as compare to previous banking system. Modern
banking system providesmany facilities to its customers & its a much
flexible, so in banking sector greatrevolution has been took place.Askari
Bank was found as army welfare trust. It wasfounded for the support of Army
officials. The head office of Askari bank locatedat AWT PLAZA RAWALPINDI. It
provides service of saving scheme to its Armyofficials.Askari Bank was founded
on Oct19
th
1991, in the form of public limited company. Askari bank got
businesscommencement certificate on Feb 26

1992.Askari bank is schedule bank & itinteract with the business of banking as
defined in banking organization 1962.1

Askari Bank of Pakistan touching the new heights of success inall areas of
its functions. The protection of depositors fund, great production &irony use
of technology are the tramples of its organizations strength.Askari bank is
only private bank of Pakistanwhich has been rated as A1+ for short term and A+
for long term class. This wasdecleared by (Pakistan Credit Rating Agency). Thus,
at that time Askari bank wasalone private corporate which had got such a
familiar grades of banking sectors.In 1994, Askari bank
of Pakistan gotinternational identification as a Asia Money Award & also got
title of BestCommercial Bank of Pakistan. In 1995 Askari bank was decleared
BestDomestic Bank Of Pakistan.Thus, with the passage of time as per
keepingin view growth rate, Askari bank has expanded its network to
increase the totalstrength of Bank. Now almost at the every part of Pakistan
Askari bank is located& performing its functions to achieve great output &
increase the familiarity. Thus,the Askari bank of Pakistan playing great vital role in
the banking sector & it hasgreat scope overall the country.2
