their families throughout the southeastern U.S.
Services include a full range of tax consulting services, including estate and trust planning,
income tax planning, retirement planning, international tax planning, and entity structuring.
Practice focus includes planning related to monetization and pre-liquidity strategies.
Expert in complex estate and generation-skipping tax planning, individual income tax, charitable
planning, and cross-border international wealth planning.
Greg was the Southeastern and Northeastern Regional Practice Leader for the firms Private
Client Services (PCS) practice.
The practice focused on all aspects of tax planning and compliance for wealthy business owners
and their businesses, executives, and family offices.
Greg was also a national specialty resource, leading a number of significant and complex estate
and succession planning engagements in the entire eastern half of the U.S. Included complex
tax planning associated with major liquidity events, resulting in dozens of millions of tax
savings.
Member of the firms PCS Leadership team, serving as a technical resource for individual,
estate, gift, trust and generation skipping tax compliance reviews and planning projects.
Greg led planning engagements involving cross-border planning for numerous executives and
families, and was a national resource for the firms multi-national private clients.
Represented ultra-high net worth individuals, families, and foundations and endowments, to
preserve and enhance their wealth. He also consulted on family governance and succession
planning.
Greg advised on asset allocations and portfolio construction, corporate banking, income tax,
wealth and estate tax planning, trust structuring and administration, and lending and liquidity
alternatives.
Managed and led 35 to 40 professionals in the Southeastern U.S. PWS practice. Practice
generated $9 to $12 million of revenue annually, consisting of both tax consulting and
compliance services.
Greg provided comprehensive tax planning and compliance services to the firms wealthiest
privately held business owners and their companies. He successfully sold and led numerous
engagements.
Greg led the firms Quality Assurance initiatives for individual income tax, gift and estate tax,
and trust compliance initiatives. He was recognized for his technical expertise in these areas.
Increased firm-wide productivity and quality by leading the development of numerous
checklists, tools, methodologies, and training initiatives for the PWS practice. This effort began
in 2004.
National developer and trainer on the use of the sales and service delivery process, a
comprehensive methodology used to sell and deliver over two dozen comprehensive $75,000
to $400,000 wealth planning projects for clients.
Senior leader to over 85 US-based professionals in the PWS practice, which generated over $30
million in annual revenues.

Founded and led a Family Wealth Planning (FWP) practice within the federal tax practice. The
FWP practice grew from three people in 2003, to over 85 professionals nationally by 2011.
Greg sold, delivered and implemented over 40 complex wealth planning and business
succession projects for business owner clients. Greg generated consulting revenues of $1 to $2
million annually.
Developed the firms sales and service delivery process, which was used firm-wide for
comprehensive tax and business planning projects with privately held business (PHB) owners.
Hired and recruited dozens of professionals to build the FWP practice throughout the U.S.
Worked with clients in 38 different Grant Thornton offices in the U.S.
Leader in the national Strategic Federal Tax Solutions (SFTS) group, cross-selling multiple tax
service offerings.

Transitioned 42 employees into Grant Thornton LLP, from Arthur Andersen, LLP.
Led the Orlando Tax Practice. For two years (2004 2005), also led the Tampa Tax Practice.
Supervised 10-18 local tax professionals during this period, serving as the tax engagement
partner for almost all tax clients in Central Florida. Practice generated $3 to $5 million of
revenue annually.
Served a variety of private businesses, public companies, and executives with all of their tax
needs.

Partner in charge of PCS in the state of Florida. Greg established, built and led one of the firms
most profitable and high-growth practices in the US. Responsible for all aspects of growth,
including quality assurance, team member recruitment and retention, technical training, and
sales and marketing.
The PCS practice implemented cutting-edge wealth preservation and retention strategies for the
firms most successful entrepreneurs and business owners.
Services provided included income tax, financial planning, estate planning, and investment
advisory planning. Resulted in many billions of dollars in tax savings for his clients.
Greg generated and supervised annual client revenues in excess of $3 million. The revenues
were annually in excess of $10 million for the entire Florida PCS group.
Florida PCS grew from five to 22 people during this period.
