Scheduled School Holidays and Early Dismissals in Term 4
We hope that your child has used the week-long vacation constructively getting some welldeserved rest, spending time with family and friends as well doing some revision. We would
like to thank you for your continued support in partnering us in Nurturing Relationships,
helping your child Internalise Values, working with us in Connecting with the Community,
and Empowering your child, the Learner. We would like to take this opportunity to share
and remind you of key events, school holidays and early dismissal days so that we are
better prepared.

b. We would appreciate it if you can make the necessary childcare / transport

arrangements in view of the above-mentioned dates especially on the last week of the
term, from 10 November, when school ends at 12.30 pm.
c. Please note that the End-of-Year School Holidays will be from 14 November 2014
to 1 January 2015. The new academic year will begin on Friday 2 January 2015.
2. Communication with School
Parents/Guardians can contact the school directly if you need further clarifications on
school policies and programmes or would like to give any feedback. We are in the same
journey in educating your child. We would welcome the open communication and seek
to understand approach as there are always many perspectives to the same issue. We
are very appreciative to most of our parents who are very forthcoming in seeking to
understand the schools approaches and supporting us in our journey in many ways. On
that note, we would like to request that respect is shown to our staff, both General Office
Staff and teachers, when communicating. Its not about who is right or wrong; that does
not solve the problem at hand. We must seek to work out in the best interests of the
child concerned. We reserve the right to protect our staff from abusive parents. As

adults, we are role models for our children and hence we must manage and conduct
ourselves in an appropriate manner when relating to others.
