SURVEYS
Surveys before issue of cargo ship safety
construction certificates:
39.(1) The owner of every ship to which these
Rules apply shall cause the same to be
surveyed by a surveyor appointed by a
certifying authority and any application for a
survey shall be accompanied by such
information relating to the ship as the certifying
authority may require.
(2) A certifying authority shall upon receipt of an
application for survey and any fee payable on
Bureau Veritas is
frequently consulted by shipyards; as the
development of the drawings progresses,
further discussions may be held. Meanwhile, BV
conducts a detailed analysis to determine the
construction
methods and procedures, he checks selected
items covered by the rule requirements and
he attends tests and trials where applicable and
deemed necessary.

expertise
Keel voids prior to closing off, or mould
preparation for FRP construction
Approximately 20% hull completion including
reinforcement layers of FRP
