WordPerfect Office 12

Name
WordPerfect Office is developed by Corel Corporation. Aside from Microsoft Office,
WordPerfect is one of the most widely recognized programs for the PC. The newest edition
isn't just a word processor; it's a full office suite designed to compete with Office. And it
competes quite well. There are a lot of functions of WordPerfect Office 12 includes
WordPerfect, Quattro Pro 12, Paradox, Corel Presentations and Corel Central. At $299,
Office 12 is $100 less than the standard MS Office version (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and
Word). It also offers a lot of features, including useful features Microsoft doesn't have even
without an email client of its own.
More mundane functions other word processors include in WordPerfect too. Grammar-AsYou-Go suggests sentence construction and word choices, and we can configure it for varying
sensitivity levels (informal prose, technical document, etc.). WordPerfect's best feature is its
native XML editing functions.
Quattro Pro is designed for spreadsheet in Office 12. Quattro's three modes include Quattro
Pro Classic, Lotus 1-2-3 Mode, and Excel Mode. Quattro can also read and export XML
natively, although large tables published slowly.

Components or modules and related features

The suite's four program modes include WordPerfect Mode, geared to existing WordPerfect
users, Microsoft Word Mode, with dialogs and menus that emulate Word, WordPerfect Legal
Mode for creating legal documents, and WordPerfect Classic Mode, which emulates
WordPerfect 5.1. One of Office 12's best features is its sense of its user-base history, Corel
bends over backward to accommodate existing users and to recruit new users used to other
programs.

In WordPerfect, the Prompt-As-You-Go, suggests proper spellings for words as we type them
without being intrusive, while Make It Fit expands or contracts a document's layout to fill a
specified number of pages, which is great if we've got one page too many or few.
QuickWords lets us insert boilerplate text by typing a single phrase.
Quattro Pro is a spreadsheet program developed by Borland and now sold by Corel, most
often as part of Corels WordPerfect Office. Quattro Pro avoided the 65,536 row by 256
column spreadsheet limitations inherent to pre-2007 versions of Microsoft
Excel by allowing a maximum worksheet size of one million rows by
18,276 columns. Since about 1996 Quattro Pro has run a distant second to
Excel's market domination. The common file extension of Quattro Pro
spreadsheet file is .qpw.
Paradox is a relational database management system. It was originally
released for DOS by Ansa Software, but a Windows version was released
by Borland in 1992. It also bundled Paradox in the professional version of its
WordPerfect suite. It has released Office Professional Edition versions 9, 10, 11, 12, X3 and
X4. The latest version of Paradox released by Corel is 11.0.0.411 which is bundled with X3.
Corel Presentations (which is often referred to simply as Presentations) is a presentationgraphics program akin to Microsoft PowerPoint and OpenOffice.orgs Impress. Version X4
(release 14 internally) is available only as part of the Corel WordPerfect Office productivity
suite. Corel Presentations can be an extremely handy tool for creating effective and in-depth
presentations. When inserting pictures and text, you can choose to animate your pictures to
make your slide show more interactive. You can insert sounds, movies, spreadsheets, and
animations. When you complete your slide show you can publish it to the internet or play it
directly from the program using quickplay.
Corel central is actually three separate applications. All components of an
electronic Personal Information Manager: Corel Central Address Book,
Corel Central Calendar, and Corel Central Memos. Corel Central Address
Book is a pretty stable contacts manager that displays addresses as part
of directory tree. The Calendar includes a listing of daily events, tied to an
overview calendar that shows events a couple of months forward or back.

The Corel Central Memos runs up in the left corner of the screen, sans title
bar. Memos are the electronic equivalent to sticky notes.

Cost and pricing structure

WordPerfect Office 12 costs $100 less than the comparable Microsoft Office upgrade and
full-version prices. When you multiply these costs over many licenses, the savings can be
significant to small businesses. It was selling in around the world. We can buy it from internet
or any computer shops. The suggested retail price is $179 (upgrade version) and $349 (full
version). In this latest version, Corel has done an excellent job of making WordPerfect easier
to use and provides a less-expensive replacement for Microsoft Office. The illusion is good
enough that rank-and-file users should be able to make the switch with little downtime and
few problems.
