Global ImpACT is an international youth exchange that will take place 3th-12th May
2015 in Croatia, bringing together 30 participants from 6 different countries: Croatia, Spain,
Romania, Latvia, Czech Republic and Bulgaria.
This project is promoting sustainable development, which we found as very important
process of personal development and society as a whole. Sustainable development is a way
that helps as understand ourselves and our world. This project is related to our actions, what
we do and how we do it. How we can apply sustainable development in different ways and
situations in our life. Our goal is, not just to become familiar with this topic, but to understand,
and apply it in everyday life.
New generations need to understand the importance of their decisions, so they can
act according to the problems we have today. In order to apply concepts of sustainable living,
we first have to understand what we do and what it results of our act.
The aim of the exchange is to raise awareness of our actions, recognition of their
impact. Encourage young people to take actions, and become an example to others.
We want to spread the idea of sustainable development among young people. In order
to start that practice, program will consist of several topics, such as: ecology, agricultural
practice today, environment, transportation, recycling and health.
Our vision
The vision from which we work is to create a world that works for everyone out of love,
care and cooperation.
The goal is to create awareness of the new generations lifestyle, to see the impact of
their actions and they will feel motivated in order to understand what mark they leave with
their daily action and to acknowledge how their attitude affects on their health, society and
environment.
Our motivation to carry out this project comes from very simple idea that every young
person, right now, has powerful opportunity to have a positive impact on the present and
future state of our planet.
The issue which will be addressed through this project is pollution of planet's air, water,
land and accumulating a lot of waste. The impact of waste accumulation on the environment is
extremely negative.
