BULLSEYE

Back in the Frank Miller days on Daredevil, nobody was

cooler than Bullseye. His escape from prison using a paperclip
was chilling enough, but his butchering of Elektra... Wow. It
was enough to traumatize a young man like myself. Bullseye
can be 'ported over to the DCU with no problem and makes a
good foe for street-level vigilantes like Nightwing and the
Question.

sometimes able to escape from situations that others
could not.

History : http://www.marvel.com
Born with perfect aim, the man who would become Bullseye enlisted in the military rather than continue a budding baseball career.
Aside from his uncanny reflexes, Bullseye also derived pleasure from killing. One incident, in particular, inspired him to employ his
throwing skills as a means of combat: While on foot patrol, he was ambushed by a guerilla soldier. Pivoting about, Bullseye squeezed
the trigger of his rifle...only to discover that the clip was empty. In desperation, he hurled his gun at the guerilla, impaling his attacker
on its bayonet blade.
Following his discharge from the military, he embarked on a career as a costumed criminal. Bullseye attempted to extort money from
a number of New York City millionaires, hoping the resultant publicity would help solidify his reputation among the denizens of the
underworld. The blind adventurer known as Daredevil interrupted his plans, but Bullseye escaped. Daredevil tracked down and
defeated the assassin when he tried to murder his second victim, beginning a series of deadly encounters between Bullseye and the
Man Without Fear.
Hired to murder lawyer Matt Murdock, Bullseye was defeated by the attorney's alter ego: Daredevil, his hated foe. Believing his
reputation had been sullied, Bullseye swore vengeance on the Man Without Fear. He would fight Daredevil at any opportunity -whether to fulfil his personal vendetta or on assignment as the top assassin for the Kingpin, the most powerful figure in East Coast
organized crime.
Bullseye's career nearly was cut short when he was declared clinically insane due to a brain tumor. After the malignancy was
surgically removed, Bullseye took aim at a return engagement as the Kingpin's top assassin -- only to find his position had been
usurped by the Greek ninja known as Elektra, Daredevil's former lover. Bullseye seized the opportunity to exact vengeance on his
mortal enemy and regain his place at the Kingpin's side. Seeking out the femme fatale, the maniacal marksman impaled her on her
own sai. However, the Kingpin refused to rehire Bullseye until he could kill Daredevil.
During one of his white-knuckle brawls with Daredevil, Bullseye fell from a great height -- breaking many of his bones and shattering
his spine. Left irrevocably paralyzed, Bullseye was abducted to Japan by Lord Dark Wind. The warlord intended to transform the
broken assassin into an invincible warrior by lacing his spine and broken bones with the indestructible metal Adamantium. After
recovering from the mysterious procedure, Bullseye was assigned to assassinate the Japanese minister of trade in New York.
Unknown to Dark Wind, the expert marksman had no intention of carrying out this task without pay. Instead, he took advantage of his
freedom to return to the United States.
Bullseye again struck at the Man Without Fear when the illusion-casting criminal called Mysterio retained him to kidnap an infant
believed to be the antichrist. In the midst of a battle with Daredevil, Bullseye slew Murdock's estranged girlfriend, Karen Page, by
impaling her with the hero's own billy club. Bullseye escaped with the child, as Daredevil was too grief-stricken to pursue.
