Loop Checking Procedure - Ideas

Strategy:
We, as the client, are ready to receive suggestions to help and to speed-up site
activities for instrumentation/automation.
1. Construction QC + PCC: the format should be signed by both.
2. Punch List generated by PCC and Construction.
3. Clean-up area procedure to avoid loss of quality during the handover between
Commissioning and Start-Up.
4. Split instrumentation in two basic categories:
a. Control / Interlock
b. Monitor
5. Split Loops per Automation System:
a. DCS (FF/HART)
b. SIS/BMS
c. FGS (How was the detectors test? / Valid till...?)
d. Analyzers
e. Packages
f. MMS
g. CCM
h. Power Island (Mark VI / LoadShedding / SCADA)
i. CCTV
j. Metering Stations
6. Punch killers group.
7. Organization Breakdown Structure: Owner per area: PCC/Construction.
a. 20-21
b. 20-23/28
c. 52-90
d. ...
8. One week Work Front ready on previous Thursday.
9. QC Structure for ISBL
10. FF segments validation
a. Previously to Loop Check physical verification (no energy, just impedance
measurement)
b. After H1 completion cycle FF net validation and certification using PP tools
11. FF/HART Simulating for Loop Check and further maintenance (AMS) ensuring the
simulate jumper for all field devices (transmitters and valve positioners) should be
applied in the right position (simulating)
12. Recording Loop Check on DCS Graphic Displays putting small circles near to the
represented I/O on DCS GD following the below code:
a. First situation all circles red
b. During Loop Check or in case of discrepancies circle yellow
c. After approved Loop Check circle blue
d. After Functional Test circle green

e. Ready for Start-Up no circle
