COMPONENTS OF EDUCATION

EDUCATION
Education can be defined as a human endeavor in accordance with the
values in it to fostering personality role in society and culture.
COMPONENTS OF EDUCATION
After discussing the basic concepts education, the thought arose about
whether the things contained in the educational process. Attention on the
process of education leads to thinking the educational components.
Component is part of a system that has particularly role in the overall
course of a process to achieve system goals. Mean educational
component parts of the system of educational process, which determines
the success and whether or not or whether or not the educational process.
It can even be thought that for continuing education work process
required the presence of the component.
The components that enable the educational process or the
implementation process of educating
a minimum consists of five
components, include:
1. Purpose of Education.
2. Educators Factors.
3. Students.
4. Environmental Factors.
5. Curriculum System.

1. PURPOSE OF EDUCATION
Human behavior, consciously or unconsciously of course directed at
the goal. Langeveld argued that this view of human life animating
behavior of the act of educate. Advance general purposes of education
depends on the values or particular world view. View of life that animates
human behavior will animate the behavior of education and also will
determine the goal of human education.
Langveld suggests the kinds of educational goals consist of :

Hierarchical sequence of educational goals can be seen in the


educational curriculum its include:
1. The ideal of national / national objectives (opening 1945).
2. National Development Goals (National education system).
3. Institutional goal (at each level of education / school).
4. Curricular objective (in each field of study).
5. Instructional objectives are divided into two instructions:
a. General instructions objectives.
b. Specific instructions objectives.
Premises so visible link between instructional goals are accomplished

The purpose of the education to the intellectual life of the nation and
develop a complete Indonesian man, with the characteristics:

6. Responsible for the society and nation.
2. EDUCATORS FACTORS
An important component in education is the educator. There are
several types of educators in the concept of education as a cultural
phenomenon. Which is not confined to school education only.
The educators factors include:
1. Adult
Adults as educators base on the general personality trait of adults, as
argued by Syaifullah are as follows:
1. Man who have a view of life principle of life is certain and fixed.
2. People who already have life goals or ideals of certain life.

3. The human mind itself competent to take decisions or her own


actions and to be accountable themselves.
4. People who have become competent members of society in
constructive and active full of initiative.
5. Man who have reach the age of 18th lowest.
6. Virtuous human bodied.
7. A brave and competent human family life.
8. Human personality is intact and round.
2. Parents
Parent is a natural educator in family environment. This means
parents as primary and the first educator and based on a relationship of
love for family or children born in their family environment. Position of
parent educators of long standing, even before there are people who
think about education. Generally it can called that all parents are
educators, but not all parents can implement with good education. As
noted in the discussion above, that ability to be parents at all out of
alignment with the ability to educate.
3. Teacher
Teachers as educators in school that are directly or indirectly given
the job of parents of society to carry out education. Therefore the
position as educators are required to meet the requirement of both the
requirements of personal and job requirement. Bas on personal
requirements on provisions related to the values of adapted behavior,
intellectual ability, attitude and emotional. Requirements of the position
(profession) in relation to knowledge of both related to the message
conveyed and how . , and has a philosophy of education that
can be accounted for.
4. Community Leaders and Religious Leaders
In addition to adult, parents and teachers, community leaders and
religious leaders are also educators. The role of community laders to
educators base on the activities of the leaders in coaching mentoring to
hold a member-led. Religious leaders as educators, look at coaching or
development activities religious human nature, which is base on
religious values.
3. STUDENTS

The development of education concepts that are not only limited to


school age alone gives understanding the consequences of the learners. If
one assumes the learners first consisted of children at school age, it is
now possible learners including adults therein. Base on the idea
mentioned above, learners should have a discussion boils down to two
things mention above. Issues related to the learners related to the nature
or attitude of the student put forward by Langeveld as follows:
Children are not adults in small therefore the child has the properties of
the childish nature with deferent maturity. Children have to rely attitudes,
needs help and guidance of both physical and spiritual. The nature of
human nature in the education of the students suggest he should be
recognized as individual beings duality, sociality, and morality. Human
being as creatures who must be educated and educating.
4. INTERACTIONS EDUCATIONAL EDUCATORS AND LEARNERS
The education process can occur when there is interaction between
the components of education. Especially the interaction between
educators and students. Interaction educators with students in order to
achieve the desired educational goals. The action taken by educators in
these interactions may either take action under the authority of, the
action of educational tools. And methods of education.
Educational tools are a situation or act to the situation or action will be
achieved educational goals. Actions of educators to create peace in order
to achieve specific educational objectives in the teaching process, or do
anything to achieve certain educational goals, for example advice,
admonition, reprimand, and punishment so that children want to serve in
the elderly.
The method comes from the liberal establishment who argue that the
naturalism of human development is largely determined by the strength
from within that fairly or nature exist in human beings. This view raises
the attitude that educators should not meddle too much to the
development of children. Let the child develop according to their nature
with freely or liberal.
5. ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS
Environmental factors are a unity of inter-related in the educational
process to achieve educational goals.
a. Family environment

The family is the oldest educational institution that is the main


informal experienced by children as educational institutions that are
natural. Parents are responsible to maintain, nurture, protect and
educate children in order to grow and develop properly.
b. School environment
Train school children acquire skills such as reading, writing,
arithmetic, drawing and other sciences that are developing intelligence
and knowledge.

c. Environmental youth organization


Through youth organizations developed a kind of social awareness,
skills in association with fellow comrades and the right attitude in
relationships with fellow human beings.
6. CURRICULUM SYSTEM
That the curriculum is meant by the system:
a. The purpose of institutional.
b. The structure of the program curriculum is wide range of subjects that
are designed to be understood / studied and compared the weight
range of subjects.
c. Subject matter of each subject.
d. Learning strategies are designed and implemented.
e. Media and learning facilities available.
