Cadet Programs
Cadet Life Video is now available on YouTube and in the Librarys Cadet Great Start section: www.capmembers.com/
greatstart. This 3 minute video
introduction to the Cadet Program focuses on what the typical cadet can do during his or
her first year in CAP.
.Ordering

The video is intended for use

during squadron open houses,
at airshow recruiting booths,
during visits to schools and anytime you want to show someone
what the Cadet Program is all
about.
And more Cadet Info to follow...

Cadet Tests just got easier. Effective immediately, senior members

may contact the registrar, Sharon Jackson (sjackson@capnhq.gov, 877-227-9142, ext 203)
to requests cadet tests and exams for their unit. She will fill your order, but for security
purposes, will mail the tests only to the squadrons official mailing address. The CAPF
53, Signature Verification Card, is rescinded and CAPR 52-16 and CAPR 50-4 have been
updated accordingly. In the past, the signature card has been a stumbling block for our
members. Invariably, someone would requests a test but the order would be denied,
because their signature card was of out of date. In the meantime, the cadets couldnt test
until the paperwork got straightened out. This new, simplified procedure allows National to serve you more quickly while still safeguarding the tests and answer keys.
Now is a good time to download the Testing Officers Quick Reference (www.cap.gov/
cadets)and inventory your tests to make sure they are up to date.

Professional Development
The CAP Officer Basic Course
(replacement for AFIADL
Course 13, CAP Senior Officer
Course is 31 Dec 2009. The present AFIADL Course 13 is still active and applications are still being
accepted. Course 13 remains a
requirement to complete Level II

and receive the Gen Benjamin O.

Davis Jr. Award. The progress on
the replacement course is going
well. There are a couple of rumors
going around that the AFIADL 13
is no longer being offered by Air
University, and the second is that
completion of this course is being
waived until the new course
launches.

Neither of these rumors are true.

Students can still enroll and completion is still required. If this course is
the only stopping block to attain the
Davis Award and gaining promotion
to Captain, please encourage your
members to take the plunge. Dont
slow your progress by waiting for
the new course!
