Changing Your Character and Experiences Through Action


This first lesson has nothing to do with Mind. Action is here and now. Action is the
simplest and quickest way to create change. Later we will learn to combine Action and
Thought to create an unstoppable force for change.
Action is the first way to create change.
Your actions create change in your life. Actions are the surest way to create immediate
change.
Although we have the ability to control our own actions, most people dont make any
conscious effort to do so. Most people repeat the same actions over and over again with
hardly any thought, and react to circumstances. Very few use their actions to
intentionally create new circumstances.
This is no secret: If you change your actions, your experiences will change.
It seems obvious, but here are some examples. You reap almost immediate results
from your actions:
If a student studies more and takes his studies more seriously, his grades will
improve.
If a salesperson makes 15 phone calls a day he will make sales. If he changes his
actions and makes 40 phone calls a day, he will sell much more.

If you eat a lot of food and dont exercise you will get fat (doing nothing is an action)

If you increase your exercise level and eat a more healthy diet you will lose weight.
Even if you dont lose weight you will feel healthier. You will gain some beneficial result
from your action.
If you want to write a novel, you have to sit down in front of your computer and start
typing.
If you spend all your money, you will have nothing left at the end of the month. If you
save a certain amount each week, your bank balance will grow.
If you are angry and critical of your children, they will withdraw emotionally. If you
consistently show your children love and boost their confidence, they will be loving
toward you and will communicate to you at a deeper level.

Actions create results. New results depend on taking new actions. Better results depend
on taking better actions. Changing your actions creates new results. You can come up
with thousands of your own examples.
Cause and Effect. The same actions over and over will give you deeper results either
positive or negative - repetitive positive actions give you more positive results, and
repetitive negative actions give you deeper negative results. Ineffective actions will give
you poor results. Improved actions will give you improved results.
If you dont like where youre at, change your actions.
Positive Examples:
You devote more time to studying, your grades improve. You make more phone calls,
you make more sales. You go to more events, you meet more people. You deposit
money in the bank and make good investments, your assets grow. You read the news,
you become more informed. You commit yourself to your job, you get more satisfaction
from your work you might even get a raise or get promoted. You listen to people
compassionately, they embrace you emotionally. You exercise every day, your fitness
level improves.

Negative Examples:
You eat the wrong foods, you get fat. You stop exercising, you gain weight. You blow off
your homework assignments, your grades drop. You slack off at work, you get a
warning. You watch TV all day, you become a boring and lazy person. You yell and hurt
people, they move away from you emotionally.
The Greek philosopher Aristotle was a keen observer of human nature and how people
lived their lives. He made the following observation 2,500 years ago which is as true
today as it was then.
We are what we repeatedly do.
Excellence then, is not a single act, but a habit.

Aristotle applied his observation to excellence, but we can replace the word excellence
with any other character trait, good or bad. Fitness is not a single act, but a habit. Charity
is not a single act, but a habit. Patience, success, honesty - all good character traits
are not a single act, but a habit. Obesity is not a single act, its a habit. Laziness, greed,
anger, addiction are not a single act, but a habit.
Aristotle was certainly correct. Our character is defined by what we repeatedly do. Not
what we do one time, but what we do time and time again. Whether good or bad, what
we repeatedly do defines who we are.

Who we are today, for better or worse, is a direct result of our actions. Not a single
action, but a million actions over time.
Repeated action creates change. It changes our character, and it changes our
experiences.
There is no change in character or experiences without a change in action.

What is The Real Goal in Life?


Did you ever know someone who feels like they deserve a better life, they wish for
something better, they pray for something better? Maybe thats you. You feel like you
deserve a better life, you wish for a better life, you pray for a better life.
But the real goal is not to have something better, the real goal in life is to be something
better. Dont worry so much about what you have, focus on who you are. Focus on
character over circumstances.
You have no doubt heard of The Law of Attraction. Let me tell you how it really works.

The Law of Attraction works as follows:


You do not attract what you want, you attract what you are.
Stated another way:
Things dont happen to you. They happen because of you.

Think very carefully about that statement and all its ramifications, because it is the
opposite of what most of us believe.
Repeat:
The real goal is not to have something better, but to be something better.
This means: Dont focus on the results, focus on your character and the quality of your
actions to build your character. As Aristote said, We are what we repeatedly do.
The first way to create change in your world is to change your character, and the way to
change your character is repeated positive actions. Focus your actions, uplift your
actions, repeat your actions until you create new and better habits. If you do your part
then the Law of Cause and Effect will result in changes to your character, and the Law of

Attraction will bring changes to your experiences and your results. Even if you dont get
what you expected, your very actions of persistence and commitment will have already
made you into something better.
There are no accidents in my philosophy. Every effect must have
its cause. The past is the cause of the present, and the present
will be the cause of the future. All these are links in the endless
chain stretching from the finite to the infinite.

In the introduction we made an important promise:

Being aware of your actions and taking control of your actions allows you to flow
differently in the world. Action is a critical element in changing your circumstances. But
now we will address the second half of that promise, how the world will flow differently
toward you, and this is where Mind makes its entrance onto the stage.

Everything is Energy of One Form or Another

Everything is energy of one form or another.
Man is the inter-weaving of three distinct types of energy: Body (matter), Soul (Life
Force), and Mind. Each form of energy is completely distinct from the other. We are not
all body, we are not all mind, we are not all soul. We are not defined by any one of these
alone, but instead we are a woven combination of all three. Life exists at the intersection
of these three energies. Each form of energy connects and interacts with the other. We
are the balance of these three energies.

It seems like a mystery, How can we be energy? Yet each one of us is walking,
thinking and existing in the balance and combination of these three energies. We are not
defined by any one element. We are not simply a physical body, we are not simply a
soul, and we are not simply mind - we are a combination of all three. Every person we
see is also an inter-woven blend of these three energies. From human beings down
through all forms of life, each is a blend of three distinct types of energy physical
matter, life force, and mind.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created He him;
male and female created He them.

God, the ALL, the Cosmic, the Source whatever name you apply is also an interwoven blend of these three energies, but on an infinite scale. Infinite Body (the
Universe), Infinite Soul (Life Force), and Infinite Mind.
Mind is the least understood aspect of our being. You have never been told that you
possess such a wonderful instrument. Even if you imagined that the Mind has incredible
powers, you were never given an instruction manual which takes you step by step how
to use it.

The Unconscious Mind


While the brain is a complicated mechanism and could be studied for many years, for
the purposes of our work there are two basic parts of the brain the limbic brain and the
cortex.

The Limbic Brain


The first and most ancient part of the human brain is the limbic brain which controls
emotion. These are the parts of the brain along the stem.
The limbic brain is operating continuously, but it operates unconsciously just below the
surface of your conscious awareness.
We each possess an enormous amount of intelligence which is controlled by the limbic
system beneath our conscious awareness. The limbic brain controls the autonomic
nervous system and is intimately associated with the pituitary gland (also called the
Master Gland) which communicates and controls all the other glands in our body. The
limbic system is responsible for our fight or flight mechanism which acts without
conscious control. All emotions originate in this section of the brain, and under the
influence of powerful emotions (rage, fear, sexual desire, etc.) people can, and often do
act without thinking.

The limbic system is where long term memories of emotional experiences, both pleasant
and traumatic, are stored. The limbic system is where musical memory is stored. So if
you hear a song that you havent heard or thought about since you were a child, the
notes and the words are perfectly stored and you remember the song like it was
yesterday, even though you may not have heard it for 20, 30, or even 50 years. When
you have a song stuck in your head, its coming from the limbic part of your brain.

Just because this part of the brain is unconscious, does not mean its not extremely
important. The Unconscious mind affects you all day, prompting you to take action,
make decisions, like or dislike an experience or a person, feel confident or insecure, feel
attraction or avoidance and you dont know why it affects you unconsciously, without
being aware that it is even happening.
Advertisers speak directly to your Unconscious mind all the time. I can give you a
hundred reasons why you should like this car some people will be swayed by the
argument, others will still not like the car. But if I put attractive people to stand next to
the car you like the car and youre not even aware that you like the car and you
dont know why you like the car. Advertisers bypass logic and speak directly to the
limbic brain, to the Unconscious mind because they know that your Unconscious mind
directly influences your emotions, your behavior and your decisions all the time, and you
dont even know it.

The Conscious Mind


The Cortex
The other part of the brain is the cortex which consists of the folded sections of the
brain.
The Conscious mind is associated with the cortex.
The cortex is associated with sensory perception, thought, language and consciousness.
This is the part of the brain that is aware of whats going on around us, and where we
form thoughts and express our ideas through words.
When awake, the Conscious mind talks, or more accurately, chatters non-stop until you
fall asleep at which point it shuts off, only to become aware and active again the moment
you wake up.
The Conscious mind concerns itself with everything we know from our five senses, and
everything we can figure out through our own awareness and knowledge. It is constantly
analyzing the current situation, analyzing the past, and predicting the future. The
Conscious mind is obsessed with knowing and figuring things out, past, present, and
future.

Unlike our Unconscious mind which operates under the surface, we are very aware of
our Conscious mind because it fills every moment of our waking lives with an internal
dialog and analysis. Your Conscious mind is constantly chattering.

Compulsive thinking, incessant mental noise, not being able to stop


thinking is a dreadful affliction, but we dont realize it because
everybody suffers from it, so we consider it to be perfectly normal.

The truth is that we are consumed with a non-stop swirling tornado of thoughts, and our
incessant thoughts create a separate thought-tornado.

Your thought tornado is spinning so fast that it just keeps going and going on its own
momentum. The vast majority of people dont even think. They go wherever the next
thought takes them, and say whatever comes into their head. We move through our day
in the midst of a tornado of constant thoughts.
Consider this statement: I wish I could stop eating so much. Its a contradiction. I eat
too much, but I also wish that I could stop eating so much.
Who is the I that is wishing?
Who is the I that cant stop eating?
Its the tornado of thoughts that cant stop eating. The slightest image in the mind of ice
cream, for example, creates a continuing desire to eat it. The mental image of the ice
cream keeps returning to your mind. Your thought tornado keeps spinning and spinning
until you finally get up, go to the freezer and get yourself the ice cream.
But you are not the tornado of thoughts. You can actually stop those thoughts from
spinning. You have the ability to recognize that these thoughts are not you at all, they
are literally a separate creation, a constantly moving storm of mental energy.

By stopping your thoughts and observing the thought tornado, you will see that you
have, for the majority of your life, been spinning with no conscious control.
When you observe the thought tornado you can see:
That is the person who cant stop eating.
That is the person who gets into arguments.
That is the person who drives like a madman cutting in and out of traffic.
That is the person who cant get off the couch and exercise.
That is the person who procrastinates and cant get anything done.
That is the person who worries about everything.
That is the person who is unhappy (or fill in the blank with any other word).
The thought tornado is not you. It is literally a separate entity that is thinking for you. You
can briefly stop the thought tornado and keep your mind focused for short periods of
time, but the moment you release conscious control, it will spin again.
While your mind spins uncontrolled, you are also driven by instinct and strong emotions
from the Unconscious mind. In the life of an animal there is nothing other than instinct
and emotion. All of their daily activities are driven by their instinctive need for shelter,
food, social positioning, procreation and a constant lookout for fearful situations.
Unfortunately, some people never consciously take control of their thoughts. They have
nothing other than a spinning thought tornado, driven by their unconscious instincts, and
reacting to whatever circumstance is in front of them at the time.

There is Hope!
Up until this moment you may have never given your Conscious mind any guidance,
never given it instructions, never even understood that you are consumed by a swirling
tornado of thought, instinct and emotions which controls your life. But you can be in
control, if you choose to be in control.
Unique among all animals, man has the power to make conscious choices to rise above
this first level of unconscious instinct and emotional existence. Man has the unique
capacity of Creative Imagination. He can use his imagination to not only choose
priorities and goals, he can use his imagination to improve his personality and character.
You can imagine a future and then create that future. You can choose your goals and
priorities, and then achieve them. You can choose your values and your character, and
then become them. Even if you have never once before had a thought 'on purpose', you
have the ability to think on purpose now.
You can choose the thoughts you deposit into your Mind. You can place positive
thoughts into your Thought Tornado, then it will spin on those positives. You can
choose.

The Subconscious Mind Stores All Thoughts and Experiences


Through the cortex the Conscious mind creates thoughts. The limbic brain creates
emotions and feelings positive and negative. Anticipation, fear, worry, stress, hate,
anger, love, happiness, doubt, and confidence are all created in the limbic brain, or the
Unconscious mind, below our conscious awareness.
Every thought and idea from the Conscious mind, and every emotion and unconscious
experience and intention from the limbic brain is transmitted to and stored in the
Subconscious mind.
The Subconscious mind is different than the Unconscious mind. From time to time you
can become consciously aware of unconscious feelings. Our emotions can give us
physical sensations, and so we can become aware of being nervous, being excited,
being in love, being angry, etc.
But in the Subconscious mind, those thoughts and beliefs are completely under the
surface. They are unknown. You are not aware of what is inside your Subconscious it
is sub conscious, below your conscious awareness.
Picturing the Subconscious mind as deep, dark lake can actually help you understand
how it operates. The subconscious is under the surface of the lake. You can see the
surface, but you have no idea what lies under the surface. Under the surface is a series
of beliefs about the world, and a series of self-beliefs. You cannot see them, you are not
aware of them, but those beliefs are there, and they are very real.
All your conscious thoughts and all your unconscious experiences and emotions are
transmitted to the Subconscious mind. What is contained in this giant storehouse of
thoughts and experiences under the surface is unknown and unknowable.
In this deep lake is the sum total of all your thoughts, beliefs, experiences, emotions
the combined impulses of your limbic brain and every thought from your cortex from the
time you were born mixing with each other. New thoughts, emotions and experiences
are constantly being deposited into the lake where they mix and merge with all others.

Your Repeated Firmly Held Beliefs Bind Together to Form Large


Boulders at the Bottom of the Lake
Thoughts exist as an energy pattern or a vibrational pattern. They are very real, not as
physical things in the physical world, but they are energy. A thought is a very real thing
at its own level of energy.
Over time, your thoughts, experiences, and beliefs tend to bind together and solidify in
the Subconscious mind. Repeated thoughts and beliefs gather together and form large
boulders or thought forms resting at the bottom of the lake. These large boulders
represent, in a very real sense, your understanding of the way the world is and the way
you are. These large boulders are your beliefs about yourself, and your beliefs about all
the many other aspects of life.

These large, dense thought forms are based on the sum total of all your conscious
thoughts and unconscious experiences, and are therefore true and undeniable.
These heavy subconscious boulders define who you are both positive and negative.
You literally are who you think you are. Everything you experience in life confirms
your self-image, and adds to the massive, solid boulders of your self-image.
Your self-image defines what you believe you can do, and what you believe you cant
do. It defines what you believe other people think about you. It defines what you think
you are worth. All your actions and responses in life are based on your self-beliefs.
Each new thought and experience entering the Subconscious tends to gravitate to one
of these massive boulders. If anyone suggests to you, or you suggest to yourself that
you are different, unfortunately, that one single new thought is no match for the heavy
subconscious boulders of your self-image and the beliefs which you have formed over a
lifetime.
These large boulders are your life anchors, and tend to hold your life (all different areas
of your life) in place both positive and negative.

Subconscious Self-Beliefs Change


The self-beliefs in the Subconscious mind are not permanently locked in. They
represent your self-beliefs today, they are not the same as they were 15 years ago.
They can change and they do change.
Your self-beliefs change over time as your perspective and understanding changes. As
a child you might have been afraid of monsters in the closet, as an adult you hopefully
dont have that same fear of the dark or being alone in your room.
Your self-beliefs can change as you are exposed to new influences, new experiences,
new evidence, new proof. Simply reading a book like this which proposes that you
should release your self-imposed limits, could (and hopefully will) lead to changes in
your self-beliefs.
Dramatic moments can also change your Subconscious self-beliefs. We are sometimes
subject to circumstances and forces beyond our control, the forces of nature, personal
tragedies, large social forces (a larger collective self-belief), and the beliefs and actions
of individuals.
In certain extreme situations, events have completely deteriorated and you cant
believe whats happening. This isnt happening. But it is happening, it has happened,
and your Subconscious mind now navigates and adapts to this new set of circumstances
and creates a new set of beliefs which accommodate the new external reality. The
Subconscious mind, presented with new evidence, can adapt and shift its core beliefs.
Subconscious self-beliefs can change, and they do change based on new input or new
perspective or new experience.
But the Subconscious beliefs you hold, whatever they may be today, correspond to the
reality you experience.

The Subconscious Mind has a Two-Way Connection with the


Limbic Brain
The Subconscious mind has been receiving inputs from your Conscious mind and your
limbic brain every minute, every second of your life.

But the Subconscious mind operates in the other direction as well. The Subconscious
mind returns a constant stream of subconscious thoughts to the limbic brain.
This two-way connection can be illustrated with an easy to understand example.
Imagine that you are this person:
You are shy and deathly afraid of socializing. You have been invited to a big party on
Saturday night. Through a lifetime of thoughts and experiences, your self-image says
that you dont go to parties bad, avoid, terrible. Well as the day draws closer your
Subconscious works harder and harder to get you to not attend that party. Im just not
going to go. Im going to tell them I have something else to do that night. Ill just tell
them I had to pick up a friend at the airport. The impulses come stronger and stronger
as the day and the hour draws closer. If you cant find a way to bail out, your
Subconscious mind has the ability to work with the limbic brain to actually make you sick
so you really have a legitimate excuse.
The Subconscious mind insists, demands, compels, ensures that whatever is
programmed into the Subconscious (whatever the Subconscious believes to be true) will
happen. The Subconscious mind is a Goal Achieving Mechanism. Without you even
knowing, your Subconscious mind is constantly influencing everything you do, say, think

and feel. You are completely unaware that this incredibly strong force is influencing and
controlling you.

The Subconscious mind is the connecting point between body and mind. It is constantly
accepting input from your words, thoughts, emotions and experiences, and is constantly
providing thoughts and impulses back to your limbic brain and in turn to your glandular
system which transforms your emotions to physical sensations. Back and forth, back
and forth between body and mind, between mind and body.

Affirmations Why They Dont Always Work


I want to emphasize that methods of Affirmations, Hypnosis and Goal Setting which we
discuss in the next few pages, have worked for many people. If these methods work for
you, keep using them. What you learn here will only help and reinforce your success.
But Affirmations, Hypnosis and Goal Setting do not work for everyone every time, and if
a method does not work every time then it is not addressing the core issue.
Lets look at Affirmations using the example above with this extremely shy person. You
can affirm to yourself a thousand times that you love parties, youre going to have a
great time at this party, people love socializing with you, this will be fun. If the
Subconscious does not accept these statements, they will have no impact.
By communicating to your Unconscious mind, your Subconscious mind will do
everything in its power (and its power is pretty formidable) to turn its self-beliefs into
reality. It will impel you to action, it will prompt you, as in the example, it will physically
affect you.
If youre poor and you cant pay your electric bill, you can affirm to yourself all you want
that youre rich, that money flows to you in all situations, etc. The Subconscious mind
will not accept a message that conflicts with what it knows to be true.

From Subconscious to Unconscious your actions and results will always be consistent
with what you subconsciously believe to be true.

Hypnosis Why it Doesnt Always Work


Lets look at Hypnosis which claims to bypass the Conscious mind and input thoughts
directly into the Subconscious. And this is true. A trained hypnotist can speak directly to
a persons Subconscious. If the hypnotist tells the subject that the pencil on the table
weighs a thousand pounds, the person cannot pick it up. If the hypnotist tells the person
that the room is getting hotter, the person actually begins to perspire and sweat and get
uncomfortably hot. Whatever the Subconscious believes, it will make it happen.
Incredibly, this includes altering physical circumstances.
Now back to the example of this very shy person. Under hypnosis this person is told
that he loves parties, will enjoy the party, is looking forward to the party. Now there is
this huge boulder of subconscious self-belief which tells this person he is very shy and is
deathly afraid of socializing. The hypnotist is essentially putting a piece of paper to hide
the boulder of subconscious thought and is drawing attention to his new subconscious
suggestions. Hypnosis actually works for some people, if the persons self-belief was
not very intense. If the hypnotic suggestions are about equal weight or outweigh the
negative self-belief, then the person may be able to change their belief to what the
hypnotist suggests. And this change could be immediate, and lasting.
Even if the persons self-belief is very strong, the hypnotic suggestions may work for a
time. But over time, most people revert back to their boulder of subconscious selfbelief. Once the piece of paper is removed, the reality of the thought boulder is still
there.
Many people accept the hypnotists suggestions and move forward with a new, positive
self-belief. But many people revert back to their original self-belief.

Goals Why They Dont Always Work


Lets look at goals, and why they sometimes work, but sometimes dont work. Goals
work when they drive you to take action. Goals dont work when your Subconscious
mind rejects the goal.
In order to achieve a goal the Subconscious mind must accept it. If the Subconscious
rejects the idea, its not going to happen. Your Subconscious mind is an incredibly
powerful force, and if the Subconscious accepts the goal, it will take all steps necessary
to achieve it. Your results will always be consistent with what you subconsciously
believe to be true. If the goal is consistent with your Subconscious beliefs, then you will
achieve it. If not, its not going to happen.

Goals focus on external results, but ignore the persons belief system.
The Subconscious doesnt know positive or negative. It only knows the accumulation of
your thoughts and experiences, and whatever it believes, that is exactly what will
happen.
Like small waves lapping at the edge of a lake, the Subconscious returns thoughts back
to your Unconscious mind. 24 hours a day, every day, non-stop, your Subconscious
mind is pumping thoughts back to you just below the level of conscious awareness.
New thought, new thought, new thought, new thought continuously non-stop. Thought,
thought, thought, thought comes pulsing out of the Subconscious each thought just
below your conscious awareness.
As the situation warrants, those thoughts and impulses are either very subtle and
completely unnoticeable, or as in the case of the painfully shy man, they can become
massive and intense.
This is a good thing. Its not a bad thing. This is the way your mind works. Your
Subconscious is working 24 hours a day and gives you back ideas, impulses, solutions.
It helps you figure out what to do, and the advice it gives you is consistent with your selfimage, consistent with what you believe.
What the Subconscious mind believes to be true, it makes true.
And the Subconscious achieves all this with the energy of mind. It converts thoughts
(firmly held subconscious beliefs) into mental impulses and then into physical action. It
works through you from Subconscious to Unconscious to turn thoughts (firmly held
subconscious beliefs) into reality. Thoughts become real.
The thoughts in your Subconscious are always in balance with your experiences and
your reality. Your reality is always in correspondence with your Subconscious selfbeliefs.
Thoughts (mental energy) create physical reality, and your Subconscious beliefs hold
your reality in place. Your reality is not allowed to stray too far from your Subconscious
beliefs. Like the man who is deathly afraid of socializing, as the party draws nearer, the
Subconscious pushes more and more intensely to keep the reality in line with its selfbelief.
The Subconscious mind does not differentiate between positive and negative. It does
not judge whether the self-belief is helpful or harmful. It does whatever you have
programmed it to do. It is constantly achieving the self-belief.

But dont think of this as negative. It works in the positive direction just as well. For
example, a man may believe that he is very wealthy and has a strong self-belief that he
is wealthy. If there are unfortunate circumstances, extreme circumstances if
everything in his life starts falling apart, his business goes bankrupt, the stock market
crashes, his house burns down, his Subconscious bends everything back to wealth. The
Subconscious cannot allow the self-belief to be violated.
Whatever you see around you, whatever your circumstances, is the result of your selfbelief. You are what you think you are.
Without you even knowing, your Subconscious mind is constantly influencing everything
you do, say, think and feel. 100% of the time it will achieve exactly what you believe to
be true.
This is how your Subconscious mind is connected to your Unconscious mind your
limbic brain. This is how your Subconscious mind affects you, bends you, through
whatever means necessary, to hold your reality in place.
We are what we think.
All that we are arises from our thoughts.
With our thoughts, we make our world.

The Superconscious Mind Lies Above the Subconscious


We will now rise to a new level of mystical understanding. Mind can control matter, Mind
can create circumstances, the fabric of the universe is mental, Mind is the compelling
force behind matter.
On the opposite side of the Subconscious is the Superconscious, the Mind of God, the
Cosmic Mind, the Infinite Mind.
The Superconscious is the fabric of infinite potential. Within the Superconscious exists
any and all potential possibilities. Specific possibilities are formed and activated by
conscious thought. Conscious thought organizes and draws specific possibilities from a
field of infinite possibilities. Thought activates a specific reality from a field of all possible
realities.
Essentially, anything is possible. Everything is possible. But whats possible for you?
Your possibility is defined by your thoughts. Your thoughts have carved your reality out
of infinite possibility. You could have had any thoughts and any reality, but the reality
you have is defined by what you thought.
If it can be consciously conceived, regardless of the size or scope of the thought, then at
that very moment it exists as a probability in the Superconscious. If that possibility is
held consistently and backed by supporting action, it has a growing probability of
manifesting regardless of what it might be. Whatever is conceptualized in
consciousness instantly exists in the Superconscious mind as an already existing fact
and has the possibility of becoming physical reality.

Lets pause for one second here.


A mystic is a person who is drawn to understand the truths which lay behind and beyond
the physical world. Here is the first and most profound of all mystical truths:
The ALL is MIND; The Universe is Mental

limbic brain) to bend reality in order to hold your self-beliefs in place,
the Subconscious mind impels the Superconscious mind to bend

Whatever is in the Subconscious Mind is Presented to the


Superconscious
Just as the Subconscious is constantly pulsing thought, thought, thought to the limbic
brain, the Subconscious mind is also pulsing thought, thought, thought to the
Superconscious mind. The Subconscious mind imprints its thoughts onto the
Superconscious and the thoughts transferred to the Superconscious become reality.
Those same giant boulders of self-belief in the Subconscious which are influencing and
bending your experiences by pulsing, pulsing, pulsing to your Unconscious mind your
limbic brain are also pulsing, pulsing, pulsing to the Superconscious and creating a
reality which conforms to those beliefs. Through years and years of repetition, your selfbeliefs are essentially burned into the Superconscious and your reality is anchored in
those self-beliefs for positive or negative. Your reality is held in place by your
Subconscious beliefs. The more you see reality, the more it confirms exactly what you
believed in the first place.

The Subconscious transfers thoughts from your Conscious mind to the Superconscious,
but unfortunately the Subconscious also filters and blocks your thoughts. Each
conscious thought you have is mixed with all the contents of your Subconscious thoughts, experiences, beliefs, emotions - and the end result (your self-image, what you
believe to be true) is presented to the Superconscious for creation.

No matter what new thoughts you deposit into the Subconscious, they will tend to slow
down in the thick murky unknown of the Subconscious and merge with the giant
boulders, so that the Subconscious ends up presenting essentially the same thoughts to
the Superconscious with very little variation. Your new thoughts have very little impact
on the lifetime of deeply held Subconscious beliefs.

We are now going to learn how to use all this knowledge to our advantage, how to turn
the Subconscious mind from an anchor which is holding us in place, into a tool, a rocket

Results Depend on Mastering These Two Skills


Your Must Clear the Subconscious of All Limiting Beliefs
We will shortly begin our first Mind Bank session. This is a process which allows you to
take control of what is in your Subconscious mind. Whatever is held in the
Subconscious will actually happen, so you will learn to choose the thoughts that you
want not random thoughts or thoughts chosen by others. You can begin to take
control of your thoughts and put the Subconscious to work on your dreams and goals.
As you will see in every session before we deposit the first thought into the
Subconscious mind, we must first clear the Subconscious so that our next thoughts may
live and grow by themselves in the Subconscious. We must remove all self-limiting and
negative beliefs in order for our thoughts to proceed to the Superconscious. We dont
want our thoughts to get blocked or pulled down into other thoughts.
If you cannot clear the Subconscious of negative, self-limiting beliefs, then you simply
cannot create new circumstances. Thats not to say that you will never experience new
circumstances, it just means that they will not be of your own conscious creation.
Any thought you create must be in Alignment with your Subconscious beliefs. If the
thought is not in alignment, the Subconscious will bend it and draw it down, and the
thought will not make it to the Superconscious. You must eliminate all negative and
limiting beliefs and align your Subconscious with your next thought.
The method we use to clear the Subconscious mind is a simple mental visualization.
You consciously clear the lake and remove all negative and self-limiting beliefs. The
boulders are removed, the water transforms from thick and dark to clear and translucent.
Your Subconscious is clear, healthy and incredibly powerful ready to accept your very
next thought and transfer it straight to the Superconscious for creation.

If you repeat this process diligently over time, you find that your limiting self-beliefs
actually begin to disappear. You find yourself saying that all things are possible.
Because the truth is, all things are possible its just a matter of what you believe.
With absolute certainty, you can completely transform your self-beliefs by repeating the
exercise of clearing your Subconscious of all negative and unwanted beliefs.

You Must Deposit Clear and Focused Thoughts into the Mind Bank
Each one of us chooses for ourselves what we will draw from the infinite
Superconscious. We have the ability to direct creation via our Conscious mind, but our
skill in focusing our thoughts, in psychology, in communicating, in limitless belief, in
creating clear purpose, and our skill in working with others toward a shared belief all go
to determine what is formed in the Superconscious and is brought into fulfillment in the
physical world.
As an example, Person A faces the Superconscious of infinite potential and carves out a
small new change. Person B carves out a bigger potential, and Person C creates a huge
potential. Person C has a bigger perspective, and is simply more skilled at forming
bigger, clearer, more focused thoughts. Person A, B or C could have carved out any
possibility, but they each begin with different perspectives and different skill levels. Start
the process from where you are right now, and step up the ladder at your own pace. But
please realize, there are no rules you can create anything.
What is created depends on the kind and quality of consciousness you are able to
project through your thoughts, ideals and conceptualizations. It also requires that you
clear limiting and conflicting thoughts, emotions and beliefs from your Subconscious.
You must cleanse your Subconscious mind of all negative and limiting thoughts and
beliefs. When the Subconscious mind is cleared of conflicting beliefs, and the Conscious
mind makes a precise and logical case for its thought becoming reality (a logical case
which is not subconsciously contradicted), then the thought can be sent purely and
accurately through the Subconscious to the Superconscious. And once the thought is
received by the Superconscious, it is now a probability.
A lot of people find this step, stating what you want, creating clear possibility statements,
is the most difficult part. Heres a tip. Ask the question, if I could have anything in the
world, what would I want? Then work your way down until it snaps into your head I
can do that. That is possible. And theres your possibility statement.

Our Conscious mind, distracted and imperfect as it might be, is the only tool we have to
change our thinking and thereby change our experience. In each session we use the
Conscious mind to clear the Subconscious of negative doubts, false and limiting beliefs,
worry, stress and fear. Mentally eliminate the subconscious anchors holding you down in

life and reach for new and higher points to climb and achieve. From a higher vantage
point you can speak more and more directly to the Superconscious and continually
create a new future.

In the introduction we made a promise:


You will soon flow differently in the world, and the world will flow differently toward you.
When your thoughts successfully make it through the Subconscious and are transmitted
directly to the Superconscious, the world will begin to flow differently toward you.
Repeated actions change your character, repeated thoughts change your world.

Possibility Statements
Lets say youre out of shape and havent run in 10 years, and you get out of breath just
walking to the Stop sign at the end of the block. Somebody suggests that you set some
goals, and that you should make those goals big and worth achieving. So you set a goal
that in six months youre going to run a marathon. You cant slow jog to the Stop sign
today, but in six months your goal is to run a marathon. Just commit to your goal and
work hard.
Your Subconscious does not buy into this. Even you doubt your own words. This isnt
really possible.
If you set a goal which you subconsciously know you wont achieve, and you dont
believe it to be true your Subconscious will block that goal. The goal must be in
alignment with your subconscious beliefs.
Goals work for some people. Some people are spurred into action, and goal setting
motivates them to achieve. Goals work for some people some of the time.
Our method is different. We say, look I cant run a marathon thats not possible. But
what is possible? Is it possible that I can walk twice around the block every day this
week? Thats possible. After a week, it might be possible that I can walk a mile every
day, so I can adjust next week. After I do that for a couple of days or weeks, its
possible that I can walk ten miles a week.
Its important to begin with what is possible today. Whats the difference between a goal
and a possibility? A goal is a target. If that target is aligned with your Subconscious
belief, you may achieve it. If that target conflicts with your Subconscious belief, you
have no chance of achieving it unless you change your subconscious beliefs.
But a possibility is automatically aligned with your Subconscious beliefs. If you didnt
believe it, you wouldnt say its possible.
Example: My goal is to run a marathon in six months. Thats a throw-away statement.
Youre not going to run a marathon in six months if you cant even jog to the end of the
block.
Now if we change the goal into a possibility statement watch what happens.
Example: Its possible that I can run a marathon in six months. As soon as the words
come out of your mouth you realize that its not possible. So you have to change your
possibility statement.

Its possible that I can run three miles in under 30 minutes by Friday. Again, that
doesnt sound right, so you change your possibility statement again.
Its possible that I can walk twice around the block every day this week. OK that
sounds reasonable. Thats possible.
Is running a marathon in six months possible? Yes, for a lot of people it would be
possible, but right now considering what lousy shape youre in it might not be possible
for you. If you dont believe its possible, then its not going to happen for you. It doesnt
matter how many times you repeat it. If it does not align with your Subconscious selfbeliefs, its not going to happen.
So we dont set goals because goals may or may not align with our belief system. We
make possibility statements because they are instantly accepted by the Subconscious
mind. If I can say its possible and feel that its possible, then it is possible.
Possibility statements work for everyone, every time because by definition, they are
aligned with your beliefs.
Trust me. What is possible for you today is just a small fraction of what will be possible
for you in a few months. As you continually go through the mental exercise of clearing
your Subconscious boulders and limiting self-beliefs, you will find yourself imposing
fewer limitations on yourself, you will find yourself contradicting people who say you
cant, and your possibilities will reach continually higher.

Instructions for Each Session


In each session you will be forming thoughts in the form of possibility statements and
depositing them into your Subconscious mind.
If you can, begin each session in the evening close to your normal bedtime. Spend 15 to
20 minutes on each session. Never more than 30 minutes.
Each session is a six step process and begins with the reminder to open your mind to
the purpose and reality of the activity.
It is important before you begin forming possibility statements that you mentally clear
your Subconscious of all limiting beliefs, self-perceptions, and old ideas.
You will be presented with six areas of your life: Health, Relationships, Financial,
Learning, Work / Career, and Creative.
If youre not feeling one of the areas, just leave it blank, or replace it with a category of
your own. There are no rules. This process is for you, not for anyone else.

Structuring Your Possibility Statements


For each area, you will create a possibility statement which reflects what you believe is
possible. If you weigh 300 pounds, it is possible to lose 130 pounds, train for and run a
marathon. Right now you probably dont believe thats possible, but maybe you believe
It is possible that I can lose 10 pounds. Go with what is possible to you. To the
Superconscious all things are possible. To you right now, maybe 10 pounds is possible,
and that would be pretty good! After you start to see how your mind works to create
change, more will be possible, and you can keep growing your possibilities. But for right
now, stay with whats possible.
You could structure your possibility statement as a goal or a target: It is possible that I
can lose 10 pounds
Or you could structure your possibility statements as specific habits you want to adopt:
It is possible that I can stop eating at 7pm
It is possible that I can do 60 pushups a day
It is possible that I can walk 2 miles five times a week
It is possible that I can slow down and chew my food more thoroughly

You can choose a high end goal (lose 10 pounds) or a specific healthy habit (walk 2
miles five times a week), or some of them, or all of them or whatever other possibility
statements that are meaningful for you.
If you only want to focus on health, or only want to focus on financial, or only want to
focus on work thats fine. You will create the changes that you decide to focus on. As
Aristotle said, We are what we repeatedly do. Focus on the areas where you believe It
is possible to make progress.
Dont worry about being perfect. Write the thoughts which feel important to you at that
moment. You will have many chances to work and refine your thoughts in each area.
This book will record your progress.
Create a thought that has meaning to you. For example, in the area of Health, some
people reading this book are critically ill while others are professional athletes. The
thoughts you deposit should be meaningful to you and represent the possibilities you
want to create in your life.
The topic of Relationships can relate to love, or parenting, or social activities, or work
related relationships, etc. Again, focus on whatever is meaningful to you and the
possibilities you want to create in your life.
Financial relates to money and how you go about getting it, saving it, investing it,
spending it. Again, everyone reading this book is in a different financial situation, so the
possibility statements you create should be meaningful to you and should reflect the
changes you want to create in your life.
The topic of Learning could relate to school if thats relevant to you, or it could relate to
work knowledge, or just learning about something youre interested in. You should
always be learning and adding to your knowledge and wisdom.
Work / Career relates to whatever is appropriate in your situation, so again the thoughts
you create should be meaningful to you and the possibilities you want to create in your
life.
Spiritual relates to either your religious activities or seeking a deeper understanding in
your spiritual quest. Create possibility statements that will lift you higher in a spiritual
sense.
Character Development relates to a positive character trait you would like to build.
At the end of the exercise you will be asked to complete the statement:
What I really want is

Go for it. Think big. Imagine the one thing that will give you the most happiness and
fulfillment, and reach for that. In this one statement forget what you believe is possible.
If anything was possible, then this is the one thing you would want.
Once you have recorded all your possibility statements, you will be asked to write them a
second time, and verbalize them while you write.
Finally, you will be asked to create actions that you will take in the next 24 hours. These
actions should be aligned with your possibility statements steps that will help you turn
the possibilities into reality. When you establish a short term goal your Subconscious
will communicate to you and prompt you to action.
When youre done with the session follow the instructions on repetition and next steps.
Close the book and come back in 24 hours. You have deposited your possibility
statements into the Subconscious, you have deposited your most amazing What I Really
Want statement into your Subconscious, and you have commanded the Subconscious
with a few 24 hour commitments to action. Its time to close the book and allow your
Subconscious to do what it was designed to do.

Defining What is Possible


One last thing before we begin making deposits into the Mind Bank.
Anything and Everything is possible. God, the Cosmic, the Universal Mind has infinite
capability. There are no limits to the Universal Mind, but it waits for you to shape your
possibilities.
Every thought we deposit into the Mind Bank begins with the words It is possible that...
By forming, writing and speaking one specific, clear thought you are carving your
possibility out of the Infinite Possibility. You are purposefully creating. You are taking
control of what is in your Subconscious mind.
If you can conceive it, and you can believe it,
then you can achieve it.

Start today with what you believe is possible. As you progress over time, you will
become more skilled in forming thoughts to deposit into the Subconscious, and you will
become more confident. If you are successful in the beginning with small possibilities,
you can progress to higher and more courageous possibilities.
In the marathon example above, we created our first possibility statement Its possible
that I can walk twice around the block every day this week. You dont have to choose
the lowest possible target you can set your sights higher, but wherever you set your
first possibility, it must be aligned with your Subconscious as a true possibility.
So try to think a little bit higher and you will see that using this method, your
Subconscious will work to make your possibilities happen.

The last deposit in every Mind Bank session begins with the words What I really want
is Be as bold and courageous as you want. Make this the biggest, boldest, most
wonderful and fulfilling statement you can imagine. There is no reason to hold back. The
worst that can happen is it wont come true, but the best that can happen is limitless.
Impossible is a word used only by the self-defeated.

consistent effort required on your part, but that probability can happen.

MIND BANK SESSION

Step 1:
Open your mind to infinite possibility
The Superconscious (the Mind of God) is a fabric of infinite potential. Within the
Superconscious exists every and all potential possibility waiting to be realized.
Conscious thought is the organizing force which creates and draws specific possibilities
from a field of infinite possibilities. Your thought forms carve out one specific reality from
a field of all possible realities.
If it can be consciously conceived, regardless of the size or scope, it at that moment
exists as a probability. If held with strong and consistent will, belief, and supporting
action, it has a probability of manifesting regardless of what it might be. Whatever is
conceptualized in the Conscious mind instantly exists in the Superconscious mind as an
existing fact and with the appropriate focus of consciousness and action will gain
strength and proceed toward physical reality.
Your Subconscious serves as the critical connecting link to the Superconscious. Every
thought you have is placed into the Subconscious and transferred to the Superconscious
where it takes form and begins the process of becoming reality.
Unfortunately, the Subconscious mind also serves as a filter. Your Subconscious mind
is like a large lake. Under the surface, the water is murky and thick and there are giant
boulders on the bottom of the lake which represent your accumulated limiting beliefs and
self-perceptions. Your new thoughts slow down, and lose their strength by merging with
other limiting thoughts before they get through to the Superconscious.

Step 2:
Purify the Subconscious
Begin by removing the boulders at the bottom - all the anchors of limiting self-beliefs
which weigh your life down and prevent you from making changes to your experience.
Start with the big boulders and move those out, the strongly held negative beliefs about
yourself dissolve them, remove them. Then work on moving the mid-size and even the
smaller ones. Clear everything out.
Once you have cleared out all the obstacles at the bottom of the lake, purify the water in
the lake until it becomes clearer. Remove all anger, worry, stress, greed, jealousy,
prejudices, unhappiness, fear and doubt until the water becomes clearer. Remove all
limitations, remove all negative self-perceptions and false beliefs, until finally your
Subconscious mind is crystal clear.
Your Subconscious is clear, healthy and incredibly powerful ready to accept your very

Review of the First Five Days


If you havent actually done the exercise for five days please go back and do the
exercise. There is no rush and no time limit. This program is designed so that over time
you will actually begin to experience how the Mind works, and if youre just reading
through without action youre not getting the benefit of the exercise.
How was your experience over the last five days? Did you stick with it and complete the
exercise and the once a day repetition?
If youre like most people you experienced times of great energy, clarity and enthusiasm
where you imagined your Subconscious clearing and purifying, and repeated your
possibility statements. You had moments over the past five days when you felt vibrant
and positive. There were also times when you may have been stressed or negative, and
werent thinking at all about this work. You probably missed, or almost missed one or
more sessions because you were preoccupied with other thoughts.
All perfectly normal. Your goal is to live in that feeling of energy, vibrancy and
enthusiasm more and more, to mentally clear your Subconscious more frequently, to
think and repeat your possibility statements more and more.
How about clearing your subconscious? Over the course of the five days did you picture
yourself removing the boulders, the subconscious anchors that hold you back? Did you
picture your Subconscious mind being purified from dark and murky to light and clear? If
you did this, you have taken a very important step toward removing self-limitation. The
more you remove your limiting and negative self-beliefs, the more you find yourself
working with enthusiasm and excitement toward larger and larger goals.
At times, did you repeat your possibility statements? Every time you did, you were
depositing them again into your Mind Bank. Those thoughts began, at a Subconscious
level, to drive your actions, and whether you believe it or not, were imprinted on the
Superconscious and will manifest in the physical world. In fact, the process has already
begun and was begun the instant you formed the statement in your Conscious mind.
How about your Daily Actions? During the five days, did your Subconscious remind you
about one of your action items? Did you get them done? When you write down and
repeat your daily actions, get it into your mind that you will complete all of them.
As you progress (if you choose to progress) and you make this a habit, your
Subconscious mind will adapt to your new habit, and encourage your positive actions.

Why This Works


If you experienced any of these things, then your Subconscious was working on what
you told it to work on. Your Subconscious will no longer block your thoughts, it will now
work on your conscious possibility statements, not some unknown below the surface
agenda. Your Subconscious is the greatest tool in the world, and all it took was a little
organized focus to get it to work on your behalf.
In the classic comedy movies the boss gathers the employees for a big meeting and tells
them the big plan and the new policy, and how everyone needs to pull together to make
this work. The employees all nod their heads, but the moment the boss leaves the room
they go back to being a bunch of irresponsible goofballs, doing whatever they were
doing before.
In a very similar way, you may wish for certain changes in your life, but if you dont clear
your Subconscious mind, it will go back to doing whatever it was working on before. If

powerful tool it is when you direct it to your purpose.

Your Subconscious Mind is Flawless


Your Subconscious mind is not like a lung or a kidney or a liver which can get old or
damaged or diseased. It is not of the physical world. It is always operating at 100% peak
efficiency. Remove the junk and clutter, deposit clear instructions, and it will instantly go
to work on your possibilities. If you clear out the boulders and fill it with your possibility
statements, your Subconscious will no longer remind you of the junk, it will remind you of
your possibilities and remind you to take action to achieve them.
When you speak your possibility statements it creates a thought pattern which gets
deposited into your Subconscious. The thought gets mixed with everything else in your
Subconscious (but hopefully you have cleared your Subconscious) and then two things
happen from there.
First, the thought is transferred to the Superconscious. Second, the thought gets worked
out in the Subconscious and comes pulsing back to your Unconscious mind your
limbic brain. Your Subconscious starts telling you whats possible and actually prompts
you to achieve it.

How the Superconscious Creates Physical Reality


Some people need an explanation of exactly how our thoughts can affect physical
reality. The explanation lies in the realm of energy and vibration.
Since everything is energy of one frequency or another, our thoughts are a form of
energy.
Assume you have formed a clear and focused thought, It is possible that and assume
this thought moves freely through your Subconscious, and this thought is clearly
transmitted by the Subconscious in its original form to the Superconscious.
From the Superconscious of infinite potential, your words carve out one specific
potential. The thought you conceived, and wrote on paper, and spoke is an energy
pattern or a vibrational form in Mind. That energy pattern is transmitted from Conscious
to Subconscious to Superconscious. The Superconscious, through the Law of
Correspondence, takes thought or energy patterns from the Subconscious and
transforms (or transmits) them into an identical resonant energy pattern or vibrational
form in the physical world. It is very subtle at first, but if the thought form has strength
and consistency over time, physical circumstances are drawn to the pattern and over
time it becomes stronger. When it is strong enough, it begins to gather more strength
onto itself until it eventually makes itself known to your awareness.
Reality is bent, shaped, and drawn together to match the pattern of thought.

Step 1:
Open your mind to infinite possibility
The Superconscious (the Mind of God) is a fabric of infinite potential. Within the
Superconscious exists every and all potential possibility waiting to be realized.
Conscious thought is the organizing force which creates and draws specific possibilities
from a field of infinite possibilities. Your thought forms carve out one specific reality from
a field of all possible realities.
If it can be consciously conceived, regardless of the size or scope, it at that moment
exists as a probability. If held with strong and consistent will, belief, and supporting
action, it has a probability of manifesting regardless of what it might be. Whatever is
conceptualized in the Conscious mind instantly exists in the Superconscious mind as an
existing fact and with the appropriate focus of consciousness and action will gain
strength and proceed toward physical reality.
Your Subconscious serves as the critical connecting link to the Superconscious. Every

where it takes form and begins the process of becoming reality.
Unfortunately, the Subconscious mind also serves as a filter. Your Subconscious mind
is like a large lake. Under the surface, the water is murky and thick and there are giant
boulders on the bottom of the lake which represent your accumulated limiting beliefs and
self-perceptions. Your new thoughts slow down, and lose their strength by merging with
other limiting thoughts before they get through to the Superconscious.

Step 2:
Purify the Subconscious
Begin by removing the boulders at the bottom - all the anchors of limiting self-beliefs
which weigh your life down and prevent you from making changes to your experience.
Start with the big boulders and move those out, the strongly held negative beliefs about
yourself dissolve them, remove them. Then work on moving the mid-size and even the
smaller ones. Clear everything out.
Once you have cleared out all the obstacles at the bottom of the lake, purify the water in
the lake until it becomes clearer. Remove all anger, worry, stress, greed, jealousy,
prejudices, unhappiness, fear and doubt until the water becomes clearer. Remove all
limitations, remove all negative self-perceptions and false beliefs, until finally your
Subconscious mind is crystal clear.

Eliminating Addictions and Bad Habits


Negative habits and addictions are deeply ingrained into the Subconscious. You can
stop an addiction for six months, or a year, or even two years but out of nowhere, the
feelings may come back to you with incredible force.
In addition to being powerful, these bad habits are very personal and people dont want
to share them or even write them in a journal for fear that someone will find out.
However, there is no way to stop bad habits unless you acknowledge them and make a
conscious decision to stop. This can be ugly work, but you can do it.
What makes addictions difficult is that they have a physical component in addition to the
mental component. Certainly there are some addictions which might require medical
attention and a period of physical withdrawal, but it is possible to eliminate any addiction
and any bad habit by using these methods.
The Subconscious mind has stored the biggest boulder just for your addiction, and no
matter how many times you try to quit, the Subconscious will bring you right back to it.
Thought, thought, thought, thought your Subconscious guides you right back to your
addiction. Everything you see and every situation youre in reminds you of your
addiction.
So lets apply the method right now, and put your Subconscious to work breaking these
habits the same Subconscious that right now is keeping you addicted. Mentally clear
your Subconscious of all prior thoughts and beliefs, clear the big boulders from your
Subconscious all of them. Give up everything, release all your addictions and bad
habits. If you leave anything there, it will draw you back in. Remove everything from your
Subconscious.

Persistence
Persistence means consistency and commitment. Here is an example from nature.
A mother robin intuitively knows when it is time to start building her nest. She finds a
sheltered location on a branch and begins the process. She sees a nearby leaf or piece
of straw, flies down, flies back up to her site and places it there. She flies back down and
hops around until she finds a perfect little twig, flies back up to her branch and weaves it
in with the pieces before. She continues this effort for several days, perhaps making
more than a thousand trips flying back and forth using anything and everything that she
finds. Finally the nest is finished, she sheds a few of her own feathers to make the nest
soft for her babies, and she lays her eggs.

Key Point: Persistence


The mother robin does not stop when shes half done. She keeps going until the goal is
accomplished. Her commitment is so strong that she doesnt care if it takes six hours, six
days or six weeks shes not stopping. She will make ten thousand trips if need be, to
get the job done. If she comes back
to her branch to find that her nest has been destroyed by the wind, or another bird, or an
animal, or some children throwing a frisbee, she just starts over again. The mother robin
is COMPLETELY COMMITTED.
People have a tendency to try something one time and then stop. Some lose interest,
some become distracted, and some simply lack discipline. What would happen if you
had a disciplined persistence? What if you tried 100 times, 1,000 times, 10,000 times
without complaint or disappointment?
Organizing your possibility statements, writing them and verbalizing them, defining
actions to support your possibilities you must make this a habit in your life.
Do this every night without fail. With persistence you are unstoppable.
We have seen in just the first attempt you begin to get results. To see even more
amazing results, you must keep up a constant effort. Dont stop because you dont see
the result in an hour or a week or a month. If you stop, you will never get to your new
circumstance. By persisting, you achieve a new future. Your very actions have already
affected your future. Persistent action over time will change who you are, and will
change your future.

Creating Love
God clearly loves his creation by providing it with life force and the warmth of the sun
and the bounty of a beautiful planet, but human love is not a first premise. While lots of
people are loved, the truth is that not everyone is loved. Love does not exist for us
unless someone creates it. Centuries ago many people lived cruel and brutal existences.
We think of ourselves as a modern society, but even today in our own country and
throughout the world many people are living brutal existences and dying from abuse,
neglect, starvation or war. Even in perfectly normal families, many people simply dont
know how to love or how to express their love.
All the love that exists in your life has been created by people. For some people,
creating love is easy, for others it does not come naturally. Some people have to learn
how to love.
If you are loved its a blessing, and if you give love to others, you are creating blessings
in their lives.
Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with
all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And
the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
On these two commandments hang all the law.

Giving with Kindness Creates Love
A lot of people are very generous, but many of those generous people give with some
limitation or judgment or criticism. This is the last time Im or You can have this, but

Gentle Affection Creates Love
Affection is generally reserved for a husband or wife or child, but when you are gentle in
your affections it makes people feel loved.
Genuine Concern Creates Love
This is really about listening to others and being genuinely interested and concerned
with what they are saying. It also means taking the time to listen completely without

interrupting or judging or trying to solve their problems. Just being listened to and cared
about is a blessing. Take a sincere interest in other people. That is love.
Mutual Admiration Creates Love
Showing respect and admiration for another persons character or work or talent or effort
is a great way to build up another persons confidence. When they return those feelings,
it is love.

The Story of Aladdins Lamp


The story of Aladdins Lamp originated in the Golden Age of Islam over a thousand
years ago, and was brought to the West by a European, Antoine Galland, upon his
return from an extended stay in the East. In 1706 Galland published the Tales of a
Thousand and One Nights in English, and the story of Aladdins Wonderful Lamp
remains one of the most symbolic mystical tales ever told.
If you have not yet seen the Disney cartoon movie Aladdin, I suggest you see it. You will
be amazed at how this very entertaining movie designed for children, reflects the most
profound mystical concepts about Infinite Mind.
Heres the summary.
The story begins when a good-hearted beggar boy finds an old lamp and seeing some
writing beneath the dirt rubs the lamp to read it. To his astonishment a genie appears
who will grant three wishes to the Master of the Lamp. The only restrictions on the
wishes are that the genie cannot make anyone fall in love, he cannot bring the dead
back to life, and he cannot kill anyone by granting the wish.
Aladdin confides to the genie that he is in love with the princess Jasmine, but realizes
that she would never be interested in a simple beggar boy. Since the genie cannot make
the princess fall in love with him, Aladdin decides on his first wish to become a prince
and visit the palace of the Sultan of Agribah in the hope of meeting princess Jasmine
and catching her attention. To Aladdins amazement, no sooner than the words pass
from his lips the wish is instantly granted in all its splendor. Accompanied by a
magnificent train of servants and wealth Prince Aladdin enters the palace to meet the
Sultan. The Sultan is impressed with the young prince, but Jasmine remains aloof.
An evil chamberlain in the Sultans court, Jaffar, learns Aladdins true identity and
discovers the secret of the lamp. He plots to get it, and in the ensuing action Aladdins
life is in danger so he makes his second wish that the genie save his life.
Through evil treachery the chamberlain finally gets the lamp from Aladdin and fully
realizing its incredible power he wastes no time in giving the genie his first command
to rule the kingdom of Agribah as Sultan. The genie reluctantly grants his evil new
masters wish. Being a big thinker, the evil new Sultan now quickly issues the genie his
second command Make me the worlds most powerful sorcerer. This wish is also
reluctantly granted and the evil new Sultan quickly enslaves Aladdin, the princess
Jasmine, and the true Sultan.

But Aladdin tricks the evil Jaffar into making his third wish. Great and wondrous Sultan,
despite all your powers there is still one more powerful than you. The evil Sultan is
puzzled, Who can be more powerful than I? Aladdin answers The genie still has

greedy eyes. However, as this infinite power begins surging through his body, shackles
are instantly formed around his wrists and becoming a vaporous cloud, the evil genie
descends into his own lamp the prison of his own making.
Aladdin has saved the day and regains the lamp. The true Sultan is restored and the
princess Jasmine, of course, is head over heels in love with Aladdin. The Sultan
commands their marriage. But the genie reminds Aladdin that he has still not made his
third wish. Everyone is anxious to know what Aladdins final wish will be. The genie
offers Aladdin a dazzling array of choices that would give him incomparable wealth and
power. What would you command from a genie so powerful?
After careful thought Aladdin announces his third wish. The crowd gasps in amazement,
but after a few moments they smile in admiration of Aladdin. Aladdins final wish was to
free the genie from his eternal bondage. Aladdin understood that the power to manifest
his dreams lay within and by releasing the genie he renounced his dependence on
material forces. He and the princess Jasmine would create their own future.
Of course, the genie represents the Infinite Mind or the Mind of God which instantly
responds to every thought. But unlike the genie of Aladdins lamp, God does not limit us
to merely three wishes. By methodically creating focused thoughts and supporting those
thoughts with our own actions and efforts, we can continuously alter our lives, change
our character, change our material reality, and create all that we desire.

Step 1:
Open your mind to infinite possibility
The Superconscious (the Mind of God) is a fabric of infinite potential. Within the
Superconscious exists every and all potential possibility waiting to be realized.
Conscious thought is the organizing force which creates and draws specific possibilities
from a field of infinite possibilities. Your thought forms carve out one specific reality from
a field of all possible realities.
If it can be consciously conceived, regardless of the size or scope, it at that moment
exists as a probability. If held with strong and consistent will, belief, and supporting
action, it has a probability of manifesting regardless of what it might be. Whatever is
conceptualized in the Conscious mind instantly exists in the Superconscious mind as an
existing fact and with the appropriate focus of consciousness and action will gain

Your Subconscious serves as the critical connecting link to the Superconscious. Every

Step 2:
Purify the Subconscious
Begin by removing the boulders at the bottom - all the anchors of limiting self-beliefs
which weigh your life down and prevent you from making changes to your experience.
Start with the big boulders and move those out, the strongly held negative beliefs about
yourself dissolve them, remove them. Then work on moving the mid-size and even the
smaller ones. Clear everything out.
Once you have cleared out all the obstacles at the bottom of the lake, purify the water in
the lake until it becomes clearer. Remove all anger, worry, stress, greed, jealousy,
prejudices, unhappiness, fear and doubt until the water becomes clearer. Remove all
limitations, remove all negative self-perceptions and false beliefs, until finally your
Subconscious mind is crystal clear.
Your Subconscious is clear, healthy and incredibly powerful ready to accept your very
next thought and transfer it straight to the Superconscious. With a pure Subconscious,
each one of your conscious thoughts is transferred directly to the Superconscious where
they immediately take form as a probability. There is no longer any resistance between

How is This Different Than Praying?


In the context of a religion, prayer has two meanings. The first meaning is the repetition
of a daily worship, as in saying your morning prayers. The second meaning is more
closely related, where a person speaks directly to God and asks for something either for
themselves or for a loved one, or a general prayer for the benefit of the world.
The concept of the Mind Bank, or depositing thoughts into a pure Subconscious while
not a religious statement, does acknowledge that we were created by an Infinite God
with a very specific structure of a Conscious mind and a Subconscious mind. We go
further to say that the Subconscious stores all of our thoughts and experiences and is
constantly feeding thoughts back to us. We go still further to say that our Subconscious
constantly transmits thoughts to Gods Mind the Superconscious which is a field of
infinite possibility.
There is nothing in these ideas to contradict any religion, nor anything to support any
particular theology, nor anything that would lead to the creation of a new religion or
theology. These are ancient teachings which are embraced and found in the statements
and teachings of all world religions.
Praying is wishing and hoping, and there is nothing wrong with that. Praying assumes
and implies that God can take our thoughts and turn them into physical reality, and that
is true and possible. The Mind Bank puts more specific definition into the process by
highlighting the importance of the
Subconscious mind as the connection between our own mind and the Mind of God. By
understanding the function and purpose of the Subconscious we can most effectively
transform our wishes and hopes into possibilities, and transfer them into the
Subconscious mind for processing. The Subconscious then pulses supporting thoughts
and ideas back to us, in addition to transmitting our possibilities to the Superconscious
for creation.
This is a method, a series of steps which represent the most efficient way to focus your
Conscious mind and present your desires directly to the Mind of God.
We are not replacing God. Quite the opposite. We are using our God-given Conscious
and Subconscious minds to the absolute most efficient and best ability.
Most importantly, we are taking personal responsibility for changing our lives. In a
sense, we are saying that God had already done enough for us, now its our turn to take
responsibility and use what He has given us to do for ourselves.

The Ultimate Truth - We Are All Connected


Every human being feels a close connection to someone. Most of us feel this closeness
for our family and a few close friends.
If something bad happened to our mother or father or sister or brother or husband or
wife or our children or one of our close friends, we would be very upset and we would
take action to help or protect them. We feel a connection to and a responsibility for those
we are close to.
But we have become completely desensitized when bad things happen to people
outside our immediate circle. With the Internet and 24 hour news we hear about and
watch videos of tsunamis (did you know the Indonesian tsunami in 2004 killed more than
250,000 people?), famines, wars, hurricanes, earthquakes (did you know the 2010
earthquake in Haiti killed 316,000 people?), totalitarian regimes that arrest, torture or kill
their own citizens for speaking out. We read about it, we see it on TV, we text our $10
donation to the Red Cross, but we really dont care. We go to work, we come home. We
have our big football games to look forward to on Saturday and Sunday (and now theres
football on Thursday and Friday nights too!!!). We spend endless hours playing online
video games, and texting, and Twittering, and uploading photos to Facebook. And we
have the MTV Awards and the CMA Awards, and the Oscars and Emmys and
Grammys, and American Idol and dozens of reality shows we really dont care.
Cable TV and the internet have opened the floodgates of information. We now know
everything almost instantly. We can know anything we want to know in as much detail as
we care to research. But this new flood of information has not united us as a species. In
fact, we have become overloaded with the Tragedy of the Day, and it has, if anything,
desensitized us and made us feel less connected.
If its not happening to me, it doesnt matter, and it really doesnt matter if you hold the
belief that you are separate from every other being.
But heres the truth: We are all connected in body, mind, and soul. This truth has been
taught for more than 8,000 years and was put in writing more than 3,500 years ago but
we still havent learned this truth.
He who sees all beings in the Self and the Self in all beings, he never turns away
from this truth.

opinions and information we have in fact become more isolated than ever before and
therefore less caring than ever before.

Division is at the root of all humanitys problems, while connecting is the only solution to
humanitys problems.
We are all connected, and until the least of us is cared for we cannot move forward.
There are hundreds of references in the Old and New Testament encouraging us to care
for the less fortunate.

The counter arguments are strong. They make sense.


There are cultures which teach hate from a very early age. We must defend ourselves
from their evil intent.
We cant solve the worlds problems. There will always be poor and sick and starving.
No matter how much we do, we cant help them because they dont have the ability to
help themselves.
If we divided up all the money in the world equally, within one month there would be rich
and poor again, and within one year the world would be much as it is today.
Connectedism is a nave utopian view. There are natural forces which will forever pit
man against man, country against country, culture against culture. There are people who
will hurt us if we dont defend ourselves. Just one person acting selfishly destroys your
nave scenario, and causes people to defend their own.
These are complex and difficult questions. As long as people fight against people
there sometimes are no good choices. If one person doesnt recognize that we are all
connected, it destroys the whole scenario.
How wide can you open your heart to include even those who hate you or would hurt
you? Can you open your heart to include those you have been taught to hate? Or those
who do things that you hate? Or those who look different or talk funny, or are sick or
dying and make us uncomfortable. That is the true test of our humanity. We are
connected to all of it even the parts we dont like.
And the Second Commandment is like unto the first.
Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

This is a truth that has been taught for thousands of years, yet it is completely absent in
our modern enlightened dialog. You can argue against the theory of connectedness all

you want. However, if you believe that you are separate then you are blocking yourself
on a personal level from the most fundamental truth, and blocking yourself from the
opportunity to grow spiritually. If we all continue to believe that we are separate then we
are perpetuating selfishness and greed and selfishness and greed has not been going
so well for humanity. Selfishness and greed has to change.
This is a personally liberating truth. You must clearly see your common connections and
change your core values and morals to reflect this truth. Judge each thought and action,
not by the benefit it brings to you personally, but by the effect it has on humanity. Every
one of your thoughts and actions affects not only your own future, but the future of the
entire human race. If we work together, we can multiply that impact.
We cant wait for our government to set humanity straight. We cant wait for television
stations to create positive programming. We cant wait for them to change the world for
us. We cant wait.
Racism, greed, corruption, abuse, division, neglect, bullying, fighting, violence, terrorism,
war all this is obviously self-desctructive because were only hurting ourselves because
were all connected. We just dont see it. The fact that other people engage in these
activities and do not understand our spiritual connection or recognize this higher truth is
a shame, but it is not a valid excuse for us to act in our own selfish interests. We must
expand our horizon to love and embrace all souls, all life.
A human being is part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and
space. We experience ourselves, our thoughts and feelings as something
separate from the rest. A kind of optical delusion of consciousness. This delusion
is a prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few
persons nearest to us. We must free ourselves from the prison by widening our
circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its
beauty. The true value of a human being is determined by the measure and the
sense in which they have obtained liberation from the self. We shall require a
substantially new manner of thinking if humanity is to survive.
