Designed and built by the worlds leading producer of rotary equipment, the
McLanahan Rotary Liquid-Solid Separator ensures maximum recovery of
manure solids and improved water quality.
The versatile Rotary Liquid-Solid Separators unique modular design can be tailored to meet
the specific manure separation requirements of most any dairy operation. Its internally fed
rotary screen with a wash-in-place system keeps it clean and operating at peak performance.
McLanahans separation system will remove up to 35% of the total solids (TS), based on the
manure effluent streams TS and screen selection. Its technology improves water quality for use
in sand separation, flush flume supply and land application. Separated solids have a variety of
uses, including land application and bedding.
Available in two sizes, all McLanahan Liquid-Solid Separators include electric motor and
booster pump for the clean-in-place rinse system.

Further Reduce Moisture With A McLanahan Roll Press

The McLanahan Roll Press is typically used in series with the McLanahan Rotary Liquid-Solid
Separator to further reduce the moisture content of the removed fibers. The Roll Press is fed
with separated manure fibers from the rotary screen containing about 88% moisture. The Roll
Press will further reduce the moisture content of these separated fibers to 70%-80% moisture.
Depending on your application needs, McLanahan offers a single, double and triple stage press.
